CCMT has released the National Spot Round Seat Allotment result on August 11 for admission to SLIET MTech course. CCMT will also be releasing the Minimum GATE scores for the National Spot Round. As per Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during MTech placements 2023 stood at INR 4.2 LPA.

Earlier, according to the official website, the highest package and median package offered during placements 2022 were INR 18.5 LPA and INR 4.10 LPA, respectively. Further, more than 110 companies visited and 358 offers were made during SLIET placements 2022. The top recruiters of SLIET during placements 2022 were TCS, Cognizant, HCL, Infosys, IBM, etc.

Okay college for M.Tech in Mechanical.

Placements: Zero placements for students in this discipline. Only one company came. But that too offered only an internship in the non-technical sector with a very low stipend. A few companies provided placements for the non-technical sector for extremely low packages. No one was interested.

Infrastructure: Nice infrastructure. Mess food was bad with around 2500 per month charge. Well maintained hostels and lawns around the campus. Infrastructure for courses was also sufficient. Ample sports and recreational facilities were available. A hospital was also there on the campus with free ambulance facility.

Faculty: Teachers were highly educated and knowledgeable and were graduated from top institutes such as IIT and NIT. But course curriculum did not felt updated to the industry standards. No industry visits were scheduled. Power failure problem was significant.

Other: It has a very big campus infrastructure, nice campus life, very low fees. So can also say that value for money. There is very good faculty in all departments. There is a good library as well, auditorium, labs by departments but the drawback for this is that it is a central govt. university and there are no placements.

Other: This is a central government university situated in Sangrur with very good infrastructure. Faculty members are good in computer, electrical, food & best for mechanical department . Placement services are not good according to me but the curriculum & syllabus are up to the mark. The most important thing about this is the low fee structure as compared to other government colleges in India .
