Review of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: In our college, almost 20% of students are placed. Top recruiting companies like Cognizant, Infosys, JSW, Mahindra, Godrej, Maruti, Suzuki, etc., visit our campus.

Okay college for M.Tech in Mechanical.

Placements: Zero placements for students in this discipline. Only one company came. But that too offered only an internship in the non-technical sector with a very low stipend. A few companies provided placements for the non-technical sector for extremely low packages. No one was interested.

Just another average engineering college.

Placements: Average placements were around 2 Lacs per annum with around 50 percent of batch being placed of a batch strength of 80 in very few core companies. Mahindra and ISGEC were core recruiters. Tata Consultancy Services and a few startups were among the non technical recruiters.

The infrastructure of the college is good. Faculty members are fine but need improvement.

Placements: Almost 70-80% of the students are placed. Students got the highest salary package of 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. TCS, Wipro, are the main recruiters of this college. Roles of a software developer are offered. The highest salary package offered in our course was 7-8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course was 3-4 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course was 5 LPA. None of the students got internship...

I am disappointed with the faculty members, and they are below-average.

Placements: About 15-20% of students in our course got placements. Reputed companies do not visit our campus for placements. This year no electrical companies visited our campus for placements. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Only 2 students got an internship at our college. If you want better placement offer in good companies, I suggest you don't join this college.

The infrastructure and faculty members are very good.

Placements: The placements in the college are average. Approximately, 40% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered to our seniors was 7 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Godrej, TCS, and Samsung, etc., visit the campus for placements. Some of our seniors were offered roles like technical advisory and supervisor etc. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 18,000, and the lowest stipend offered was Rs. 12,000.

Not very good for technical study best for preparation of SSC banking etc.

Placements: Because the campus is located in a village of Punjab so there is no company visit in campus. Current scenario of placement is worst as compare to the reputation of this college barely 50 students got placed in this year. So for the placement prospective it's the worst college in Punjab. The highest placement is around 10lacs that is ofcampus the lowest is too low around 1.5lacs.

Dissatisfied with the sports and placement authorities. The academic section should be expelled.

Placements: The placements are not much good for my batch as there is only one company for the whole batch, i.e., Tata Consultancy Services. The training and placement department was not much active regarding the placements. No efforts were made by the concerned authorities for placements of all trades. For the senior batch, TCS was the only option. Indian Army comes to the college every year for selecting the students for SSB which is not a placement. Hardly, 8-10% of the students got placed on my batch. T...

Not as expected from a central government college.

Placements: The placement record is not good as expected. Companies like Pompeii, Vserv and Godrej visited here. Last year, TCS gave a C-ranking in their college list. The internship record from this college is also not good. The location of this college is in a very rural area. Only 20-30 percent students got placed from this college. This college starts taking admission from JEE-MAIN from 2014 so the first batch of JEE-MAINS students passed from this college in 2018 so maybe, the placement record will bec...

Amazing infrastructure, but dissatisfied with faculty, placement, mess.

Placements: * The placements were not good. * Very few students got selected. * TCS is the only company coming for the placement and offered Rs 3.33 LPA. * Eclerx, a company from Chandigarh, also came with 1.2 LPA. * 20 to 25% students got selected from college * The T&P cell has no contact with the company. They ask students for the sources. * Last year, Wipro refused to come because of some clashes with the date with TCS. This shows the poor management skills of the T&P department.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: Most companies that come are IT companies. The placement record was low because the quality of students was below average. They could not even qualify the written exams for interviews, until the college started taking admission through JEE Mains. The companies that have visited the campus are TCS, NEC Technologies, Godrej, Honda Cars, ISGEC Yamuna Nagar, Eclerex, HP, Pagro Foods, Kandhari Beverages, Eastman Impex Group, PepsiCo, Hindustan Unilever, Nestle etc. ...

Good placements in the last two years.

Placements: Placements were average till two years back, but after the introduction of new head for training and placement cell, the placements have boosted a lot. The placements of final year students as per now is going on and is very good. More than 50% of the students have been placed this year. Various companies like TCS, NEC Technologies, Ashahi India Glass Ltd., Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co., ISGEC Yamuna Nagar, Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), Shri Ram Panels Pvt. Ltd., Mandi Gobindgarh, M/s. The infrastructure of institute is very nice and the campus is beautiful. But it lacks the quality of education being offered. However, there is improvement in basic facilities, the improvement in the sector of labs is going on process and will take time. Most beautiful thing is that it is located in a rural area.

You should be self-dependent in the college and try to make the best out of time available.

Placements: The placement scenario of the college is not very satisfactory. Students get placed but with very low salary packages. Very few good companies arrive to hire. Getting placed in core companies is not possible here. Most of the companies are those mass recruiters who recruit from every other branch. About 50-60% of the students get placed, and the recruiting companies are Godrej, Honda, Mahindra, TCS, etc. The mechanical department has the best placement scenario here, and the other departments, e...
