UPES, Dehradun: A holistic campus experience for MBA aspirants.
Placements: The placements percentage is 100% as all the MBA students get placed here. The lowest package offered is 6 LPA, the average package is 14 LPA and the highest package offered is above 30 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Ey, Accenture, Infosys, Deloitte, Gail, Shell, Essar and many others. 100% students got internships.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, all the classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors along with Wi-Fi facilities and a digital library. Hostel is also good as the food quality is good. There are cafes and food courts available in the college. There are medical facilities provided having a tie up with Synergy hospital for emergencies.
Faculty: The faculty is supportive and protective, they’re all from IIMs and some of them have worked for top companies. They are making the students ready for industry and for the corporate world. The passing percentage is 40 out of 100. There are mid semester and end semester examinations held.
Other: I chose this course of MBA in Oil and Gas Management because it is a specialized course provided only by UPES, Dehradun. Thisncourse helps in regulation of the energy sector. Also MBA in Oil and Gas Management is a course in which the placements package is high.

An average college because it is not worth the money in terms of return on investment.
Placements: I personally feel that the placements are not worth the money because you invest 13-15 lacs but the average package offered is only 4 LPA. Only those students get good packages who are on good terms with the professors, and the good packages are about 7-8 LPA. It is the same thing with the SIP also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the MBA is normal; there is no wow factor about it. There are too many rules and regulations. For sports particularly, the facilities for MBA are not that good compared to B.Tech. You have to take permission from the sports department and then the warden to play table tennis, and in that also, you can't practice mixed doubles. The medical facilities and Wi-Fi facility are fine. You can enter the MBA library only if you are in the college uniform. A library is a place where you should be able to study, but the uniform is given the first preference here. The classrooms are fine.
Faculty: The course plan for MBA oil and gas is very good, well-planned and systematic. If you want knowledge, the faculty members are good enough to share knowledge. Industrial visits in the course plan aid in the real-life experience but not for placements. Faculty members are good.

The college is the best for the engineer, who try to go for specialisation in the particular field.
Placements: The average package offered was 6 LPA, and approximately 80-85% placement for my batch. The companies like ONGC, HPCL, etc., visited the campus this year. Total strength of my branch is 85 in which 45 got placed right now, and I think the other branches are better than oil and gas due to recession in crude and dominance of renewable impacted oil and gas industry enormously.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is the best. There is a lack of real practical exposure in the business field. The internship only takes the experience. The good library, the free internet, Wi-Fi campus, and good experience of the different cultures at a single place in India. The expensive food court, but the environmental friendly atmosphere.
Faculty: The faculty members are average. The course curriculum is lengthy as there are 12 subjects in each semester. There are some MS management in HOD selection in oil and gas management, and logistics have far better management as compared to us. Last semester has only three subjects but the first three semesters have stress regarding the subjects. All the exams are taken regularly as there is no gap between the papers throughout 12 days for 12 papers continuously except Sunday.
Other: Too many events, fest, competition, quiz and extracurricular activities are held on the campus for the students.

Really good infrastructure, facilities, faculty and awesome location.
Placements: Placements were decent for our batch as well as our senior batch. Almost 95% of the students in my course were placed. The highest package was of 10 lacs PA and the lowest was 3.2 lacs PA. The average package stood at 4.5 lacs PA. Companies which visited the campus mostly belonged to the market research were oil and gas companies included the ones into city gas distribution. A few of the students got overseas placements in Tanzania, Africa. However, our following year had better oil and gas-based companies which visited the campus, but overall, the placement percentage was very low.
Infrastructure: Everything is great. Facilities are good if you want to use it. The food quality is above average and infrastructure is modern. We did not require any labs so no clue about that. The library is well-equipped and Wi-Fi is there on the campus for day scholars and hostelers. The new campus is pretty amazing. Hostel rooms are spacious and airy. Recreational activities are present for the hostelers and day scholars for use (carrom, table tennis, chess, football, basketball, cricket, etc).
Faculty: The faculty members are very experienced and knowledgeable. They are able to connect to the class easily and are able to explain topics very easily by connecting it to their past industry experience. An industry visit is done at the end of the second semester to make students understand the real working scenarios in the oil and gas industry.

Good placements in 2017,really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The placents of our senior batch were pretty good with most of them got placed with reputed companies like Reliance Petroleum, Global data, Total lubricants etc.About 80% of the students were placed from our oil and gas department, and the average salary package offered to students was around 5.5 to 6 lkh perannum.Students were offered the role of area sales manager, research analyst in case of consulting firms. Most of the students around 80% of them got internship from college with reputed companies like groaz tools, Dalmec etc.and the average stipend varied about 10 to 15k.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is much of a modern design were you can find all the facilities from high speed with Fi connectivity to well equipped medical, sports and games center were students can enjoy and have a good time. The quality of classroom is not that good you may find the chair a little bit uncomfortable to adjust with. The quality of food available in the canteen is good but for college hostlers the food provided to them is of not that good quality.Hostel rooms are triple sharing with common toilets and bathroom on each floor. The only infrastructure problem I faced was that during rainy season the college wi Fi campus breaks up continuously due to which we have connection issues.
Faculty: The faculty and course curriculum was indeed very helpful and concentrated on improving our managerial skills.Teaching methods used are through presentations and students to faculty ratio is around 80% students 40% teachers. We had a industry exposure at our industrial visit which is a part of our curriculum. The course curriculum is very much helpful as it has helped us to know more about the core domain subjects for which we have opted for.

It is fair if you can opt for career in oil and gas in MBA as many of the students from B.Tech branches opt for MBA in oil and gas. Apart from all the placements, oil and gas is highest placing branch in our college. As 4-5 days ago one of our students from the same batch got a placement of 19 LPA.
