UPESMET 2026: Registrations (Ongoing), Exam Date (Soon), Syllabus, Pattern, Results

UPESMET is a common entrance exam, conducted by UPES, Dehradun for admission to its MBA program. UPES offers unique industry-focused graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public Policy, and Legal studies. UPESMET is conducted multiple times a year. The exam is conducted in online proctored mode. 

UPESMET application form 2026 has been released online at admission.upes.ac.in. Candidates can now apply online for MBA admissions at UPES, Dehradun. Check below to know UPESMET eligibility and steps to fill online form,

UPESMET Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the UPESMET application form, candidates must make sure to follow the below eligibility:

• Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks from a recognised University

• Passed Class 10th and Class 12th with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate

• Students in final year of qualifying exam are also eligible for UPESMET provided they can present the passing certificate by the time of admissions

•  Candidates who have MAT, CMAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC and GMAT scores of either the same or the previous year, can skip taking UPESMET exam

Non-Examination Pathway for PG admission

Admission is offered based on national-level management entrance exams: CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. Up to 50 per cent of the seats are filled through the non-examination pathway category students. The minimum percentile required for entry to the non-exam pathway has been listed below:

• MAT score of at least the 80th percentile
• CMAT 2025 score of minimum 80 percentile
• XAT 2025/CAT 2023 score of minimum 75 percentile
• NMAT 2025 score of a minimum of 140
• GMAT Scores

Minimum cut off for admission through the national level entrance tests

 Note: 30 per cent of the seats are filled through the national level entrance tests. In case such seats are vacant, then UPES will fill those seats through UPESMET.

Reservation of Seats 

• 15 per cent seats in all programmes are reserved for candidates belonging to the state of Uttarakhand 
•  Such candidates need to provide the 'Sthai Niwas Praman Patra' certificate
• However, if these seats remain unfilled in the category, then it will be treated as unreserved

UPES has not officially released the UPESMET syllabus 2026. However, candidates can prepare for UPESMET like other MBA entrance exams. The syllabus of UPESMET will be covered from the following sections:

1. General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability
2. Quantitative: Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency
3. General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario
4. Analytical and Logical Reasoning
