Top notch facilities and industry relevant curriculum.
Placements: As a third year UI/UX student, I am happy to talk about the placements. Most of us land in jobs having packages ranging from 3 to 15 Lacs per annum. UPES offers great support, industry exposure and a friendly environment, making it a good choice for the students pursuing design.
Infrastructure: We have a high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and spacious classrooms, Hostel accommodations have a good security and laundry services. The dining options provide nutritious meals, good medical services, along with many spots activities. The campus provides a well-equipped gymnasium as well.
Faculty: The faculty is helpful, qualified, approachable and knowledgeable, ensuring a good teaching quality. Semester exams are manageable with a good passing percentage. The curriculum makes UI/UX students industry ready, it includes various topics that are required.

Good college, and satisfied with the faculty and lab.
Placements: I am currently in my 3rd year with 68 students pursuing user experience design. The top recruiters are IBM, Microsoft, and Dell. Currently, college has provided for most of the students in my course internship. The top roles provided are UI designer and UX researcher.
Infrastructure: Beautiful campus with lots of greenery and good-quality classrooms. The food canteen serves delicious meals as well. The on-campus hostel is pretty neat and clean, with ample facilities. The medical services provided on campus are also very effective and reliable.
Faculty: The faculty here is knowledgeable and helpful. They teach students to be on par with the industry outside. The course curriculum is tailored according to our needs. In design, we have jury exams as our semester-end exams, which are quite difficult and come with constructive criticism to help us improve.
Other: I chose this course because of the high demand for UI/UX in the industry because of digitalization. Apps are being made in numbers and UI designers are in demand.

B.Des. in Product Design - Batch of 2027
3.4
3Placements3Infrastructure5Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good infrastructure with an average faculty. The atmosphere is good.
Placements: The on-campus placements are not that good. The companies that visit for recruitments select 5-6 students out of the whole batch, leaving the rest of them without any placements even when they have good skills along with good portfolios. The college can improve this situation by providing more placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The campus is good. The college’s hostel doesn’t have proper food facility. The transportation here is another issue. The college is located far from the city with the airport being 1.5 hours away from the college. Also, traveling is expensive here. The classrooms are good though.
Faculty: The faculty here is good. They are very helpful. The exam system for the school of design is jury-based. At the end of every semester, we have a jury and get marked through it along with internal markings. This shows the overall improvement throughout the semester.
Other: The working environment here is very good and flexible thought the crowd can be improved.

B.Des. in Graphics and Communication Design - Batch of 2024
4.4
4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
I am absolutely satisfied with the faculty members and facilities of this college.
Placements: About 99% of students in our college were placed. The highest salary package offered was 24 LPA. The lowest salary package is unknown and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. Almost every girl I know is definitely getting placed as companies tend to focus on maintain girl to boy percentage.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in almost every corner of the college. The range might differ though and the labs are extraordinary. The hostel is good if you can manage to stay inside more than roaming around outside. You can even look for hostels outside the campus but the on-campus hostel is great too.
Faculty: Teachers at UPES are qualified and have foreign experience too. The graphics and communication students are getting every little detailed information. The pass percentage is 4 CGPA as per my knowledge. I don't think people should ever get this percentage as design is a beautiful course and it doesn't need learning but it needs creativity.
Other: I chose this course because I have a creative mind and I always wanted to do design. The particular batch attracted me because I am keen in technology and website or app aspects of society.

Really good infrastructure and facilities along with amazing faculty.
Placements: 99% were placed in amazing companies with a very good package. The highest package was of 4.5lpa average package was 2lpa and the lowest was 50,000 IBM, oracle, Microsoft, TATA, infosys, etc. Almost all students got internships from several companies. Graphic designer, video editor, illustrator, cartoonist, and many more.
Infrastructure: Amazing infrastructure, with Wi-Fi, canteen, labs of various types for all courses, AC classrooms, huge library with almost 100 copies of almost all books. Everything is top notch, the medical facilities are there with not only a doctor but also a counselor.
Faculty: The faculty is highly knowledgeable in the area of subject they teach, they're very helpful, even if you call them for a doubt they would be available without any complaints. Yes, it does. The pass percentage is 32.5% and the exams are not that difficult just the seriousness is there.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in illustration and graphics. The best things about this course is that I am not only getting the chosen course syllabus but we also have minor and exploratory courses. Maybe more of nature interaction. We have urja every year and wow Wednesdays on every Wednesday.

Satisfied with the infrastructure, faculty and the course.
Placements: I'm still in my pre-final year, which means the placement process for our batch still hasn't begun. However, we have started receiving internship offers from established companies across the country. The companies coming to us for internships offer high credibility rates and hence, I genuinely feel that in the upcoming session, our placements will be up to par as well.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good and user-friendly, keeping in mind the vast demands of a design student's work and presentation. We have two accessible stations on our campus and also pinboards in place of walls, which makes the process easier when we have exhibitions or jury meetings in our college.
Faculty: The faculty members here are amazing when it comes to one-on-one interactions; they are all also very knowledgeable when it comes to their respective fields and have a commendable networking skill set, which brings in a lot of inspiration. The course taught to us is actually relevant and helps us grow in the field at an exponential rate.
Other: I personally chose this course of interaction design because I wanted to explore more in the sector of IT specifically and what else can be better than that? It is safe to say that UPES was a great decision for me to fulfill that wish.
