NMIMS NSoMASA Organises ICS 2023 Conference
March 30, 2023: The NMIMS Nilkalmal School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics & Analytics (NSoMASA) at SVKM, in association with IDFC First Bank, is hosting the International Conference on Statistics (ICS 2023) this year. During the three-day conference, interesting debates on the most recent advancements in statistics were held. The conference took place in 2023 from March 20 to 22. Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Sharad Mhaiskar, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Meena Chintamaneni, Dean Dr Sushil Kulkarni, Prog Director (Stats) Prof. Sunil Shirvaiker, Professor Dr. K.S. Madhava Rao, Associate Professor Dr Pradnya Khandeparkar, Assistant Professor Dr Leena Kulkarni, and Professor Dr D.S. Prakasa Rao were on the event.
Renowned statisticians, researchers, and business professionals from around the world gathered at the conference to exchange research findings and talk about current issues and difficulties in the field of statistics. International Conference on Statistics 2023: Where Data Meets Innovation
February 17, 2023: SVKM’s NMIMS Department of Statistics, Nilkamal School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Analytics (NSoMASA), hosting the International Conference on Statistics 2023 (ICS 2023) is coming to Mumbai from Mar 20-22, 2023. This conference is the perfect opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field and connect with professionals from academia, government, and private sectors. With a focus on "New Age Statistics for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence”, you'll hear from leading experts from around the world. The conference will have speakers from about 12 international Universities like the University of Florida, Michigan State University, and the University of Maryland, to name a few, and 10 leading national institutes like ISI, Kolkata, and ISI Delhi. Besides this, more than 200 faculty and research scholars from Universities in India are expected to attend the conference and present their research work in contributory sessions.

Placements: Most students (about 90%) are placed in this course. The packages of students vary based on their CV and skills, but the highest package for this course is about 30 LPA, the average package is about 20 LPA, and the lowest package goes to 5 LPA. There are many top recruiting companies for this course, such as Accenture, Oracle, Airtel, Wipro, and many more. Around 80% of students get internships from the course.
Placements: Placements are decent in our college. The previous year, the average salary package offered was 9 LPA. A lot of companies visit our college. Overall, placements are adequate but I believe you can get better pay if you find your own job.
Placements: Approximately 80% to 90% of students were placed in the senior batches. The lowest salary package offered was 8 LPA to 9 LPA, and the highest was 12 LPA. IDFC First Bank was the company that recruited the maximum number of students. Data analyst roles are offered in our college.
Placements: There are no placements yet as we are the second batch for the data science program. Many of my friends and I got internships in fields such as data analytics and software development. Recruiters are looking for people with a background in data science, and mentioning the course certainly helps.

How can I get into School of Mathematical Sciences, NMIMS, Mumbai for UG/PG courses? Am I eligible for admission?
