One of the best private University in India.
Placements: You shouldn't have any backlogs for appearing for the placements. From the first year, we have had CDC (Career Development Cell) classes to train us in everything required for the placements. We also have a placement cell that will provide us with classes, workshops, and training to enhance and brush up your skills and make you ready for the placement. We had top MNCs like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc., that came for the placements. The average salary package was around 3 LPA per annum. Almost 95% of the students were placed during my batch (it was pandemic time, so the process was different).
Infrastructure: We have multiple IT labs available for the students. Each student will get a system for themselves to work. Each classroom had a Wi-Fi connection that allowed the students to connect to the internet for free with credentials provided by the college. We have 2 water coolers on both ends of each floor. A shuttle bus service is provided by the college from the entrance to every main building inside. There are departmental canteens and private canteens. Multiple grounds and even an indoor stadium for sports. The medical college provides medical assistance to students with free checkups and discounts on medical tests.
Faculty: The curriculum is relevant to the current world. Most of the faculty members were working on their papers for Ph.D. So they are well-qualified on relevant subjects/topics. Along with placement training, the curriculum makes us industry-ready. We have exams every 2 months called Cycle Test (CT). 2 CTs and 1 Model exam (all 3, along with attendance, are considered for internal marks) before the finals in a semester. The exams are not easy, but if you study well enough, it's not hard to score marks. Almost 99% of the students pass the exams.
Other: I wanted to learn core coding, and that's why I opted for BCA in SRM. You'll learn different programming languages every semester. I wish we had more time every semester to study them better. SRM has a lot of fests and events happening throughout the year. We have Jhalak, Aarush (inter-house competitions), Marathons, Road Shows, Promotional events, and SRM Milan, a 5-day fest with many events, celebrity appearances, and concerts by famous national and international artists. Our college gives importance to all kinds of extracurricular activities. We have multiple canteens, salons, and even ATMs inside the campus.

A life at SRM UNIVERSITY. A vibrant campus with lots of hope and happiness.
Placements: 75% of students are placed in my course. The highest package offered is 22 LPA, with an average package of 8 LPA. TCS, ACCENTURE, and HCL are some top recruiters. Data analysis, technical development, and some other IT jobs are offered. The internships provided are enough for students to improve their knowledge and practice their skills.
Infrastructure: The college is very spacious and comfortable. It has a large campus with less restrictive behavior and fresh scenery. The Wi-Fi provided by the college is very useful for students to access the internet. The library is very large and useful for students to read many books that are available in the library.
Faculty: The faculty here is very responsive and experienced. They are very friendly and helpful in many useful ways. The curriculum is up-to-date and has many advanced technologies to learn from. They also provide practical knowledge about the technology in the labs, which are technologically advanced.

Strong Infrastructure and Placement Support, but Curriculum Could Be More Practical.
Placements: In recent years, SRM IST has achieved a strong placement record for the BCA course. Approximately 80-85% of BCA students have been successfully placed in reputable companies, reflecting a high level of industry readiness. The highest package offered to BCA graduates has ranged around 8-10 LPA (Lacs Per Annum), while the lowest packages typically start around 3-4 LPA. On average, students can expect packages between 4-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) offers excellent facilities and infrastructure for the BCA department, ensuring a comprehensive learning environment. The campus provides high-speed Wi-Fi access across all areas, modern classrooms equipped with smart boards, and dedicated computer labs with the latest software and hardware to support programming, web development, and data management skills. The central library is extensive, housing a vast collection of digital resources, journals, and books specific to computer applications.
Faculty: At SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST), the BCA faculty are generally experienced, qualified, and approachable, aiming to provide a supportive learning environment. Most professors hold advanced degrees and possess industry knowledge, which helps bridge academic concepts with real-world applications. The teaching quality is solid, with a balanced mix of lectures, practical sessions, and project-based learning.

You will get a placement from here if you work hard.
Placements: Many companies, like Deloitte, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc., came here to recruit students. You can get a good salary package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was huge. Wi-Fi was free for students. Computer labs and everything else was available. The environment at the hostel was good. You will get a 3-seater room. The food is healthy and tasty. Both North and South Indian food items were served. There were restaurants.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified. Most of them were Ph.D. holders. They had good communication skills. They were talented. They were also very friendly. The course curriculum was relevant to the industry. You will get to learn programming languages. Semester exams were based on whatever our professors taught. If you are attentive in class, you will clear the exams.
Other: There were many fests like Milan, Aarush, Shuru, etc. You will get bus service. Overall, it was the best college. I spent three great years of my life here. We learned many new things. BCA was one of the best courses here. We gained exposure through festivals and other activities. Overall, I rate this college 5 out of 5.

The best decision of my life was to choose SRM because of the college life it provides.
Placements: For our course, placements are good, but they could be better and lag behind placements for B.Tech courses. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Almost all students who appear for placements are placed, except those who have a backlog or are detained. Many companies come for placements. Almost all students are placed.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms have all the necessary facilities. We have Wi-Fi, projectors, tables, chairs, smartboards, and other amenities, but there is no air conditioning system available. Our labs and library are very good. All facilities are available. There are huge hostels with approximately 15 floors that are luxurious. I reside in a PG nearby, but I have heard that hostels are very expensive, costing Rs.250000 per year for a room with an air-conditioning system. Rest facilities are excellent for medical purposes. One can visit one of the top hospitals in the region.
Faculty: The course curriculum is old and needs to be updated. They should remove the unnecessary subjects that are taught every semester. Teachers are well-qualified in their respective domains. They have good knowledge, but there are still a few exceptions. Semester exams are easy to pass in 2-3 days of study, but you should be careful about your internals because they play a vital role in results.
Other: I chose this course because it was the only option left for me, but I have no regrets about my decision. There are many national-level fests like Aarush, Milan Josh, etc., that are conducted from time to time. One can participate in them and learn a lot from other members. SRM has a huge crowd. There will be always a long line for everything but everything is good.

The infrastructure is good, but faculty members are not that good.
Placements: About 70% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered is 16 LPA. Core companies come very late for placements. Top recruiters are JK Cement, Hyundai, Mercedes, etc. Internships were offered at Ashok Leyland, Nexteer, High Radius, etc. Roles offered were mainly maintenance engineers.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. The library is huge. Classrooms in the first year are air-conditioned. The infrastructure is good. The mess food and hostel rules are not good. Instead, you can rent a flat outside the college premises.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, but they are not helpful at all. If you are coming from North India, there will be a language barrier for you in the college as some of the people don't speak English here. The course is relevant.
