The college is satisfactory, but it can be better.

Placements: About 33% of the students got placed because a few students applied for placements, while the rest opt for higher studies. The salary package offered is 27 LPA. Interglobe Aviation Pvt Ltd, TCS, Genpact, Axis Bank, Amazon and Swiggy. Customer service is the top role offered to students. The highest salary package of 27 LPA and the lowest salary package of 1.44 LPA and the average salary package of 2 LPA are offered in our course. United Bank of India, Trip Advisor, Future Group and Axis Bank off...

Absolutely satisfied with the college.

Placements: Many companies visited during the placements like TCS, HDFC Bank, Indigo airlines. Around 20-30 % got placements. Don't know much about the package they offered, but everyone who got recruited was satisfied with their package.

A good college for academics but lacks exposure.

Placements: Scottish Church College has an active placement cell that hosts a variety of seminars, talks and other workshops regarding placements of students in their respective field. In 2018, HUL was invited to give a talk for the chemistry students at the college. The cell is in continuous contact with students. However, not many students get placed immediately due to lack of exposure. Internships are not provided by the cell. Students have to apply for it on their own.

Review of Scottish Church College.

Placements: There is a placement cell in the college constituting of a few college employees. But I don't want placements as I'll pursue higher studies, so I've no information regarding it. I am not aware of placements. It's a 3-year degree course under CU.

Good faculty, well-built infrastructure and will be modernized. But the placement cell can be better

Placements: Placement varies from department to department. The placement cell is not very active. However, reputed companies like TCS, ICICI and Amazon have been visited this college and provided job opportunities to the students who do not opt for higher studies after bachelors. The average salary package offered is 2 LPA. Nearly 25% of the students got placed from the total number of students who attended the placement drives.

It is a decent college to study.

Placements: The college is under Calcutta University. It does not provide on-campus placements. Mostly, the students go for off-campus recruitments. Students passing out from this college gain different degrees and get placed in various fields.

Satisfied with the college. Placements are a problem. Good infrastructure. Teaching is really good.

Placements: Scottish Church college does not hold rigorous placement processes. There are some good companies which visit the campus mostly in the last term of the third year of college, but they offer mostly BPO jobs or some basic job profiles. It was mostly a walk-in application and interview process. The awareness of the same was not communicated to the students properly. There is a placement cell established in the college, but it is inefficient. There is a huge lack of communication and guidance. Stude...

I think from my view without any thinking you can get admission.

Placements: Through most of the degree course colleges in Kolkata do not offer placement, but our college does well. The giants like Amazon and infosys recruitment for the students. Most of the senior got placed in Infosys, and one of them also got placed in Amazon. Apart from that, there is grooming for the interview and stuff. The several seminars are conducted for that purpose.

Its not the best I would say but yes its very good out there.

Placements: It was neither good nor bad. The average package was around 2-3 LPA. Those who wanted to participate, did and most didn't. To be honest, I would've preferred a bit better placement opportunity. So there's a lot to improve in that particular area.

Caledonians -Scottish church college.

Placements: The placements are usually given from 2nd to 3rd year that can be either from the college specifically or can be found by us for both job or as placements. I currently work in a law and chartered firm that is being personally considered and not from the college placements.

Good college with excellent faculty and average placements.

Placements: Being a graduation college, the placement offered are only average. Though the companies that come for hiring are renowned and well established, but they are usually restricted to the commerce department only. So far, whosoever has been the opportunity from the college, has appreciated it.

A descent college for Science students.

Placements: Placement record of the college is not as expected from a college of this fame. Some companies like TCS have visited them once in a while but that's it. Don't expect to get placed as the placement record is very poor. Mostly students of maths, physics and computer Science are placed as companies software companies. There is a placement cell in the college but most of the times you will feel they are non-existent. We only got to see the peeps from the cell on our first day not after that.

Scottish Church College is the number 1 college in Kolkata.

Placements: The placements were not much good in my department (Maths Hons). After graduation, everyone focuses on their higher studies M.Sc. Few students are interested in placements. Few companies came and offered some packages after the interview, but fewer students are interested in it. There is no scope of internship after completing graduation in maths Hons.

My experience studying BBA in Scottish Church College.

Placements: Scottish Church College has a good name all over Kolkata. If you ask anyone in Scottish church, they will quickly identify the college. This is beneficial in getting jobs after completion of BBA. BBA department has placement officer who is very well-versed and helpful. Most of the students generally go for higher studies after BBA because of the lack of good jobs. But if you want to get a job you can get into reputable companies. I heard one of our seniors got a job as regional manager of Swiggy...

A college reigning over Kolkata with pride and making progress every year.

Placements: Very few seats were available for my department at zoology. The student with his or her name at the last of the list also had a considerably good percentage at their previous examinations. The same goes for the senior batch as well. Almost every year, this college has at least one student to be on the list of top 10 rankers in the university. Free studentship is given for the first year students with economically weak background. Information regarding internships is not in my knowledge perimeter...

It is a good college to study.

Placements: The placements are hardly happening other than the BBA department or the computer science department. Though there is a dedicated placement cell dedicated to the college, the chances are more for the science departments to get placed compared to the humanities department. Chemistry, physics, zoology and botany departments have a handful of vacancies.

Overall experience was good

Placements: There aren't many opportunities for placements within the college or from the campus. We were informed about the interview process in pool campuses though. There were hardly any companies for recruitment that came in the college. The placements weren't good enough. The college is good from a learning point of view, though.

Review on Scottish Church College

Placements: As far as the placement is concerned, the college is very efficiently working for a better future for every student that is studying in the college. Good companies are always on the lookout for students with good academics and skills of their own. The college puts a lot of effort to give every student a deserving future by bringing good companies for hiring.

Nice faculty but no placements and no industry exposure.

Placements: No placement is available from this institution. This is a college for getting your graduation done. Seminars are organised here on a regular basis on different topics. The professors from various universities attend those seminars which are useful, but the college does not assist with placements. If you really wish to have placement after studying History (Hons.), you have to give a try by yourself.
