B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027
3.8

Placement is dissatisfactory but crowd is good .
Placements: The placement percentage is average. The average package is 3-4 lacs per annum, and 12 lacs is the highest package in B.Tech computer science. The most offered roles are machine learning engineer, software developer, cloud engineer, data analyst, etc. 90 percent of students get internships, but most of the time it's unpaid.
Infrastructure: Sometimes Wi-Fi is not working. Libraries are good for studying. The mess in the canteen is not good most of the time. Medical facilities are decent. Sports facilities are good because they maintained their grounds regularly. The library at block 45 is too good for study.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are cooperative and teach well. Semester exams are not too hard; they're average, and you have to score at least 33 marks in every subject out of 100 to pass the exam. Most of the questions come from previous year questions, so it's not that hard.
Other: Crowd and campus are also good, but I think they should improve their placement. Events and fests are also good, and there are many clubs that you can join, like music, dance, yoga, etc. The gym is also there, as well as the cricket ground, football ground, and basketball. Scholarship is also available.

Overall, satisfied with the decent placements, faculty, and good campus life.
Placements: Placements are below decent, around 60-70% placed with a 4-6 LPA average. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Deloitte are the top recruiters. 50-60% of students get internships. Decent start for freshers, room for growth. The alumni network is strong, and career services are supportive. Sectorwise placements are IT (50%), Finance (20%), Marketing (15%), and Healthcare (10%).
Infrastructure: Sharda University facilities are pretty good. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and libraries are all top-notch (4/5). Hostel rooms are comfy (4/5), but food is just okay (3/5). Sports infrastructure is good (4/5), and security is always tight but with some loopholes (4/5). Overall, it is 4/5.
Faculty: Faculty are pretty good, and the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They are qualified (4/5). The course curriculum is relevant and industry-ready (4/5). Exams are moderate (3/5). The pass percentage is around 70-80%. Overall, a good average academic experience.
Other: Regular industry interaction, events, parties, merit-based scholarships, and many more are there. Lush green campus, state-of-the art infrastructure, and well connected to Delhi NCR are available.

M.Tech. in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) - Batch of 2024
2.8
1Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
For graduation, I'd say it was good. But as for post-graduation, I think there are no doubts.
Placements: In the civil department of M.Tech, out of 37 students, only a few (3-4) were placed. The students who were placed were all international students. All students were just pretending to take internships, but no one was actually doing it. Roles are I am not aware. As all students were seniors or had an age gap (6-7 years), a proper talk was necessary.
Infrastructure: The plus point in studying at Sharda was the structure of the building and the variety of students. The Wi-Fi at the college was laggy all the time. I was a day scholar, so hostel life is not my expertise. Hostellers had a bit of advanced games. But overall, it was good to be a part of.
Faculty: Some teachers were just teachers who taught and completed their course. But in 2 years of learning, many were there to support me to find interest in subjects. Teachers regularly pointed out about the future, companies, and all, but no guidance was provided.
Other: So, the theme of the college was too bright but it lacked everything to know off- Too strict at labs. Not many interactive classes. Provided online notes, which were no different from the online ones. Only good at gathering, which most of us attended.

Faculty is good, placements are good, infrastructure is better.
Placements: The lowest packages were 3 Lacs and the highest package was around 10 to 15 Lacs. 70% of the students got internships from our course. The placement percentage of the students in the course was 60%. Many companies like Mahindra and many others.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available in our university are good. For example, Wi-Fi is good, classrooms are good, and the teachers are very helpful. The library is one of the best on campus. Hostel food provided by the mess is good. Medical facilities are great. The university holds tournaments in various sports and has good teams for sporting events.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable in their corresponding fields. All the teachers that are teaching have PhDs or are pursuing PhDs in their corresponding fields. The course curriculum is relevant. They are teaching us many software tools to make us industry-ready. There are many clubs that we can join to boost our chances of getting into the industry. The seniors are helpful. The semester exams are not that difficult in our college. In simple words, if you study, you pass the exams—that’s all there is to it.
Other: I chose this course because I like machines and building new machines, and I like designing the machines and the problem-solving that comes with it. There are not many things to improve in our course. Many times, it’s just about the timing of the classes, more or less. They give us lab time and some freedom to work on the projects that we want to do after getting permission from the facilities. There are events in the college. The scholarships are good.

Satisfied with the environment. Teachers are not supportive but good enough.
Placements: If you are talking about placement, its not good if you ask about numbers, but for sure, the university put in 101% effort to get you to the placement. The university makes a strategy and gives you a Google. Form every semester that says what you want to do where you want to move forward, and according to that, they decide your sections. As I said, bad in numbers, so around 50%-60% students get placed with the highest 40 LPA, the lowest 2.5-6 LPA, and the average 4-5 LPA. JustPay visits and TCS as well. No internships till now because I am in my 2nd year. Top roles offered are software developers.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available to all universities. You just have to fill out your system ID and password. Labs are good but there are some labs that have minimum i5 processors or i7. Otherwise, mostly PCs are not worth it. I am not the hosteler so I don't have much idea but yes, hostel food is good and hygienic and sports and game activities are very bad. You never even think you can make a career. They just play, and all but the seniors will decide who will play or not.
Faculty: All this faculty are not good some of them are very helpful and think about you; most of them don't even give you their personal time after the college time but yes, teachers are helpful and knowledgeable; teaching quality is average; yes, course curriculum is related; as I said, they (Sharda) put their complete efforts to make you better. Semester exams are good; they are not that hard but yes, important.
Other: B.Tech is a good course at Sharda University, but there are a total 25 sections in B.Tech CSE and 60-63 students in each section. I chose this course because CSE is a good career option. If I can, I will change my teachers first because some of them really don't care; they just come and do a real PPT on a smart board and then over.

Good campus life and highly enjoyable but a rather disappointing college for placement.
Placements: Job offers are not really that good; around only 3 is the average package one gets. Though internships offered are really good, even for 1st-year students. We got offered an internship in the international department to help communicate, with a stipend of 12000 rupees per month.
Infrastructure: Classes are overall really good; in labs, usually, all the apparatus required are available, though I have been through some cases where apparatus is effective but that is very rare. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, but it's not very stable. The library is overall very satisfactory too; most of the books required are always available.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful, though I will say not every teacher's method of explaining things works with every student, but they do try and not just work for money. Course curriculum is always relevant, and yes, it does make students industry-ready. Semester exams were rather easy.

Sharda School of Engineering and Technology
Admission FAQs

Q:   Can I get into Sharda School of Engineering and Technology with 70% in class 12th?

A:

Getting into Sharda School of Engineering and Technology with 70% in 12th depends on several factors. While 70% is a good score, admission for B.Tech is primarily based on entrance exams like JEE Main or SUAT. You'll need a good rank in these exams along with your 12th marks for popular branches like CSE. Aim for a high score in the entrance exam to boost your chances! For some less competitive branches, 70% might be enough with decent entrance scores. Check their website for specific eligibility criteria and previous year cutoff trends.

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at Sharda School of Engineering and Technology with 75 percentile in JEE?

A:

Securing admission to the B.Tech program at Sharda University with a JEE Main percentile of 75 and an All India rank of 3 Lacs is indeed feasible, but it's crucial to acknowledge the dynamic nature of admission processes and eligibility criteria, which are subject to annual variations. These fluctuations hinge on factors such as the total number of candidates, exam difficulty, and seat availability.

While the provided criteria offer a general guideline, prospective students must be aware of potential changes in admission requirements. Staying informed about these variations is advisable, and applicants should regularly check the university's official updates. Direct communication with the admissions department is recommended for the most accurate and current information regarding eligibility and admission procedures. This proactive approach ensures that aspiring students are well-equipped with the latest details, enhancing their chances of a successful and informed application process.

Q:   Is Sharda School of Engineering and Technology a good college for B.Tech?

A:

The faculty is average and placement last year was really good.

Placements: 60% of the students here got placed with an average package company. The highest-placed person got a CTC of 48 LPA and the average CTC is 5–6 LPA. You have enough options to choose if you are a good programmer and you have scored well in your semester exams .

Infrastructure: The hostel is too good but a bit costly as compared to others and the infrastructure is also good with GATE security. No one is allowed in hostels, whether they are your friend or family. If you take a hostel, you have many facilities with you, and you can also reach classes earlier. The fee for a 3-seater AC room is approximately Rs. 30 thousand and you can get a discount if you have any scholarships.

Faculty: The midterm exams are a bit hard because they carry 25% weight, but they are harder than the end-term exams. Also, attendance of 75% is required to sit in the examination hall and you have to clear all your dues within a month so that you'll not have to pay an extra fine per day .

Other: The campus is too good and the environment is also friendly here.
