Sharda University gives us opportunities to learn this computer science, we are very thankful
Placements: Above 70% of students were placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Amazon, TVs, and Tata visit our college for recruitment. Above 60% of students got internships in companies like TCS, TVs, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. Roles offered are manager, HR, and employee.
Infrastructure: Facilities are so good and compatible. Labs are so clean and comfortable. All facilities are provided by Sharda University and they are very helpful. Sports are conducted. Canteen and medical facilities are good for us, we use on a daily basis.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They give the assignment and they teach us on smart board for easy to understand. They also try their best for us. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Exams are little difficult for us but we passed. The pass percentage is above 40%. They are very helpful and also they want to increase our level. They always try to understand what to teach. However, students are understanding and they try to give their best.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a software developer and Sharda helps me a lot. Best thing about Sharda University, it provides all equipment and materials. We have facilities and friends in this college. Fests are conducted like Hackathon, etc. All these are held from time to time at Sharda University.

Good infrastructure if you utilise it. Average placements. Good college life. Easy exams.
Placements: The placement record for 2023 was poor, but now, it's growing better. The past was also good for students who were determined for their fields and did hard work. The college will make or not make any efforts for your placements, specifically can't say about this, it is arguable. You have to be very hardworking and focused.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of hostels is very good, but sometimes, the quality of food is compromised. It may vary from person to person about the reviews. The infrastructure of the college is good. There is a great library for students who want to study in a great atmosphere. Students must engage with faculty members to enjoy the best labs. If you are not sincere, there is nothing to offer for you.
Faculty: Around 10 out of 3 teachers are very excellent in their fields. Some only take interest if you take interest. Some don't even care. It's only up to you how you want to utilise your time and want to extract knowledge from your professors. The curriculum is tight with a lot of classes. Exams are easy if you listen in the class. It would be easy to score.
Other: It is very arguable whether it is value for money or not. As for other colleges like Bennett, Galgotia or Amity, the face is low but not that much. It's only up to you whether you utilise your fees or not.

Review of Sharda University: Exceptional faculty with a vibrant campus life.
Placements: 80% of the students were placed in your course. 1 crore was the highest package offered along with 1.8 Lacs being the lowest and 3.25 Lacs being the average package offered in my course Amazon is the top recruiting company for my course 70% of student got internship from my course and company is wipro, infosys Top roles offered in my course is web development.
Infrastructure: High-speed internet connectivity is available throughout the campus. The state of the art labs is good and are equipped with the latest technology. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated with modern teaching aids such as projectors. The library has an extensive collection of books. The hostel is comfortable and secure but the food is bad.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is average. The relevance of curriculum makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are very difficult depending upon the course. The passing percentage in the semester exams typically varies from year to year.
Other: I had an interest and a passion towards this subject. It has many career opportunities. The course aligns with my personal goals. It has a comprehensive curriculum along with an expert faculty. The events, fest, and the campus crowd is average.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2026

Dissatisfied because of placements and internship opportunities offered by the department.
Placements: Mainly 30 percent of students got placed in some companies on a very basic 3 to 4 Lacs package. Students struggle to get placed. Also, the companies are limited. The lowest package is around 1.8 Lacs and the maximum package is around 5.5 Lacs. Lack of internships offered by the companies; you have to pay for internships. Bharat Biotech is the top company, and recently Jubilant blacklisted Sharda University.
Infrastructure: Everything is good except labs; there is a lack of basic equipment and chemicals in the lab. Students suffer a lot of time to perform practicals in the lab. Infrastructure is not that good in the biotech department. Lack of classes. Hostel food is bad. Medical facilities are very good. Lack of sports and games.
Faculty: Mostly teachers are top qualified, but some of them just came for the salary. Course curriculum changes every year; they add some new subjects and drop some. Every semester there is a lot of difference in the course year-wise. Recently they are more focused on computer science subjects like programming languages—Python and some other subjects too.
Other: I just chose by chance; I didn't have much knowledge about this university before admission, otherwise, I would never have come to this university. I wanted to pursue Masters for research. Biotech is best for research purposes in living organisms. There is vast knowledge to gain in biotechnology. I wish the department will start focusing more on research and lab work. At least five practical subjects should be there in every semester. Lots of scholarships, lots of other extracurricular activities to do. Students from many countries enough to explore different cultures.

Decent placements and room for faculty.
Placements: I'd say around 70-80% of students in my batch got placed. The highest salary package offered is around 12 LPA - 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 7 LPA - 9 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and some smaller startups might be frequent recruiters.
Infrastructure: We have air-conditioned classrooms with projectors. There is comfortable seating and often interactive whiteboards. We have well-equipped labs with modern equipment for practical learning in my specialisation. There is a good collection of books, journals, and online resources. Wi-Fi access is usually available.
Faculty: The quality of the faculty can vary. Some professors might be highly experienced and knowledgeable, while others might be less experienced. Teaching methods can range from traditional lectures to more interactive sessions like discussions, presentations, and lab work.
Other: I'm from the 2023-2025 batch of the M.Tech in computer science and engineering (specialisation: artificial intelligence). The reason for choosing this course is that artificial intelligence is a rapidly growing field with immense potential. I believe that ANM Tech in AI would open up exciting career opportunities in areas like machine learning, deep learning, and data science.

Honest review of Sharda University placements, campus life, hostels and faculty .
Placements: Currently I am in my 2nd year and have been hearing about the placements of the 4th year students and it's not looking good. Mostly, the placement companies visiting are offering around 4-6 Lacs only while the placement for sales is going much higher with 10 Lacs being offered. The highest on-campus placement this year is that of 10 Lacs only which is in the sales department and not in IT. Many of the companies aren't really renowned. There are some start up companies among other recruiters. Amazon was also supposed to visit, but for some reason it didn't. Overall, I am really disappointed by the placements record.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is fine, sometimes it does not work but otherwise it is good. The classrooms are air conditioned and kept in good condition while being clean and airy. Library is too good, it is the best place in the whole campus and is also air conditioned and beautiful. Almost all the books are available here along with the seating being awesome. I am staying in the Mandela girls hostel and upon comparing it with the other on-campus hostels, it is clearly the best choice, but otherwise it is not worth the money. Mess food is too bad, they use almost the same spices for every meal, chapatis are the worst. The food is of a low quality and the menu almost never changes. Medical facilities are good enough with an ambulance being made available all the time. There is a medical store in the campus and students have access to free checkups. Several sports and games areas are also allotted in the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are fine. Can't say much about the teachers as it depends from person to person. Some of the teachers are very helpful while others don't even teach the basics. You ultimately need to study all by yourself using books or youtube, whatever you prefer. The curriculum is good and is similar to ones in AKTU. Semester exams are fine, you can easily excel in them if you start studying even a week before the exams. To pass, you need to get at least 4 as your CGPA score.
Other: There are several scholarships available. If you score more than 9 CGPA, you will definitely get some scholarship. Events are pretty good and the campus connectivity is also nice. There are several markets and places nearby. There is always some extracurricular activity going on across the campus.

Sharda School of Engineering and Technology
Admission FAQs

Q:   Can I get into Sharda School of Engineering and Technology with 70% in class 12th?

A:

Getting into Sharda School of Engineering and Technology with 70% in 12th depends on several factors. While 70% is a good score, admission for B.Tech is primarily based on entrance exams like JEE Main or SUAT. You'll need a good rank in these exams along with your 12th marks for popular branches like CSE. Aim for a high score in the entrance exam to boost your chances! For some less competitive branches, 70% might be enough with decent entrance scores. Check their website for specific eligibility criteria and previous year cutoff trends.

Thumbs Up IconUpvote Thumbs Down Icon

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at Sharda School of Engineering and Technology with 75 percentile in JEE?

A:

Securing admission to the B.Tech program at Sharda University with a JEE Main percentile of 75 and an All India rank of 3 Lacs is indeed feasible, but it's crucial to acknowledge the dynamic nature of admission processes and eligibility criteria, which are subject to annual variations. These fluctuations hinge on factors such as the total number of candidates, exam difficulty, and seat availability.

While the provided criteria offer a general guideline, prospective students must be aware of potential changes in admission requirements. Staying informed about these variations is advisable, and applicants should regularly check the university's official updates. Direct communication with the admissions department is recommended for the most accurate and current information regarding eligibility and admission procedures. This proactive approach ensures that aspiring students are well-equipped with the latest details, enhancing their chances of a successful and informed application process.

Q:   Is Sharda School of Engineering and Technology a good college for B.Tech?

A:

The faculty is average and placement last year was really good.

Placements: 60% of the students here got placed with an average package company. The highest-placed person got a CTC of 48 LPA and the average CTC is 5–6 LPA. You have enough options to choose if you are a good programmer and you have scored well in your semester exams .

Infrastructure: The hostel is too good but a bit costly as compared to others and the infrastructure is also good with GATE security. No one is allowed in hostels, whether they are your friend or family. If you take a hostel, you have many facilities with you, and you can also reach classes earlier. The fee for a 3-seater AC room is approximately Rs. 30 thousand and you can get a discount if you have any scholarships.

Faculty: The midterm exams are a bit hard because they carry 25% weight, but they are harder than the end-term exams. Also, attendance of 75% is required to sit in the examination hall and you have to clear all your dues within a month so that you'll not have to pay an extra fine per day .

Other: The campus is too good and the environment is also friendly here.
