Q:   Is B.Sc. at Sheth L.U.J. College of Arts And Sir M.V. College of Science and Commerce worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and statements provided by students and alumni, it appears that the B.Sc. programme at Sheth L.U.J. College of Arts And Sir M.V. College of Science and Computer Science Department is not worth the investment. Here's why:

* Poor Faculty: Many reviewers mentioned that the faculty members are unqualified, uninformed, and unsupportive. They reported receiving substandard education, with little effort put into teaching and guiding students.
* No Placements: Despite claims made by the college, none of the reviewers mentioned getting placements or internships. Instead, they had to rely on external certifications and self-study to succeed.
* Old Infrastructure: Reviewers complained about outdated infrastructure, including faulty computers, poor lighting, and inadequate sanitation facilities.
* Unhelpful Administration: Students felt that the administration was unresponsive and unwilling to address their concerns.
* Limited Campus Facilities: While some reviewers praised certain facilities such as the library and canteen, others lamented the lack of basic amenities like Wi-Fi, playgrounds, and sports equipment.

However, some reviewers did mention a few positive aspects, such as:

* Good Teaching Staff: A few reviewers appreciated the support and guidance provided by a handful of dedicated teachers.
* Decent Classrooms: Although the infrastructure was generally poor, some reviewers praised the cleanliness and organisation of certain classrooms.

Overall, while there might be isolated instances of good teaching or facilities, the overwhelming majority of reviewers painted a negative picture of the college and its programs. Therefore, based on these reviews, it seems unlikely that the B.Sc. programme at Sheth L.U.J. College of Arts And Sir M.V. College of Science and Computer Science Department is worth the investment.

Course Curriculum Structure for B.Sc.

Based on the reviews and testimonials from students and alumni, here's an overview of how the course curriculum is structured for B.Sc.:

* Follows University Syllabus: The college follows the syllabus provided by Mumbai University, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of the course.

* Regular Tests and Assignments: Teachers conduct regular tests and assignments to prepare students for exams and assess their progress throughout the semester.

* Practicals and Projects: Practical sessions and project work are an integral part of the course, helping students gain hands-on experience in programming languages and application development.

* Emphasis on Self-Study: While the college covers the university syllabus, students are expected to put in extra effort for self-study to stay ahead and succeed in exams.

Note: Some students mentioned that the syllabus is not always covered on time, leaving students to rely on self-study to catch up. Others felt that the teachers' approach could be improved, citing instances where teachers were "lazy" or "arrogant". However, overall, the course seems to focus on providing a solid foundation in programming languages and application development.

The worst college ever! Scam college.
Placements: There are no placement opportunities offered in this college and no companies come here for recruiting purposes! Only 1% student are placed and these students are the one who purchases the private certification courses marketed by the so called teachers. No internships are offered and if offered by any chance then it'll be surely a unpaid internship.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very old as there are frequent seepage problems. The stairs are broken. No cleaning/housekeeping is being done. The classrooms are full of dust and dirt. There is no open Wi-Fi facility available. The labs are like kindergarten play area, it is very small and can only accomodate around 20 students at one time. The library is jointly managed by some other college (I. e. chinai college) and its condition is same like the classrooms. The canteen food is average and there are no proper eating arrangements. There is no scope of sports for students in this college.
Faculty: The faculty and the teachers are the worst. They are not all qualified and knowledgeable. Forget about helpful, they are the ones who will treat you like slaves, doing the worst thing possible, be it the failing of students in the exam just because they shared the honest feedback or giving mental tortures by not accepting the assignments, by giving unnecessary punishments, by always insulting you in front of the class irrespective of whether you committed a mistake or not. The curriculum is given by the University of Mumbai but they do not go according to it, forget about chapters or units, once they had never taught a complete subject to the students. And let me share you one more thing, in this college there is no role of principal (he/she never comes to college). The college and the courses are managed by the mentally sick Holds. One of our course teachers was a jio company employee and he is used to come to college only for 1 hour in the morning and mostly, he would never come. He was the brother of the computer Science HoD, seriously this was the condition there, poor than a tuition. As far as exams are concerned, then to pass it you only needed a premium subscription account I. e. you must be enrolled in their private certification courses by paying a lump sump additional fee, which most of the students couldn't afford! Thus they used to get failed every alternate semester.
Other: The reason that I became a victim of the scam is due to lack of guidance and proper knowledge. There is no scope of improvement and the college is not run by teachers, it is run by SCAMMERS!

Our college provides the best and helpful professors.
Placements: Students with above 6 CGPA can apply for placements. Around 70-80% of students get placements in our college. It offers good internships from the best companies and jobs from big companies. The starting salary package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: IT and CS labs are very good and library is outstanding. Our college students like to spend their time at canteen as it serves the best food and has very good infrastructure. Gym and sports room are next level. Our college has 3 to 4 auditoriums.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and supportive. Semester exams are tough but students can clear them because the pass percentage is 40%. They teach everything about the course.
Other: Our college organises a fest in December which is very good.

It has good teaching facilities only in biotech is good and nothing else.
Placements: There are no placements and internships given from college. During admission, they say you may get placements but they never talk about it. There is a good scope after doing biotechnology but if you want only a degree you can take get into this college.
Infrastructure: There's no Wi-Fi for biotechnology students. Labs are good but are of old model. Library is a good place, canteen and toilets are below average. There is a small ground available but you can't go in without principals permission. College is a total mess. There's a gym only for namesake.
Faculty: Teachers are classified, and the teaching staff is too good. They push you to do your best and help you to achieve your new heights. They provide all types of notes, journals, and other teaching materials and conduct regular tests each week and month. Semester exams are hard and the passing percentage is almost 100%. HOD is good and the teaching staff is average. Non teaching staff here is fine.

This college is an absolute disappointment for the fee paid.
Placements: There are around 50 students in a batch. They say you'll get placed, but it is not true. Companies don't visit the college for placements. I worked very hard to get an internship because the college is not famous. The learning experience here is bad. The campus is bad. Classrooms are compromised with other batches' students. Time table is crucial from the students' point of view. Even the canteen sells low-quality food, and the commerce section has bad students, and they have no discipline.
Infrastructure: We had 2 labs, and both the labs had old computer setups with low-performance quality. The campus was bad, and the canteen was worse. One ground was shared between 2 colleges and one school. There is no hostel, you have to find accommodation on your own. Medical and sports facilities were not provided. The coaches have to pay the bills. The college demands trophies to provide funding.
Faculty: Our HOD was good. Extra paid activities are conducted for students. Some of the teachers were good, 1 or 2, and the rest were either biased or too arrogant. In a year, Semester and 2 unit exams were conducted along with practicals. Viva and group presentations are conducted. Exams were managed properly and were good. But the syllabus was not covered on time. We had to do self-study to pass every exam. The teachers are lazy and too busy.
Other: Events, crowd, faculty, and the management of events are bad.

Faculty members are excellent, and our college gives placements.
Placements: About 70% of the students were placed from this course. The highest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was Rs. 90,000 per month. Accenture, Tech Mahindra and L&T are the top recruiters for this course. About 30% of the students got internships. Roles offered were like web designer, web developer, software tester, android apps developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are excellent here, and labs are great and very clean. All PCs work in good condition without lagging, and there is no electricity problem.
Faculty: In this college, only in this course, all the teachers were supportive, and we are ready to help everyone every time. All the teachers are helpful and supportive to every student of all the years. All teachers are friendly so that every student can interact with teachers and ask their doubts without hesitation. This course is excellent. Exams are not much difficult, but they are knowledge-oriented.

You can improve your career through this excellent college and be at the top level in your life.
Placements: Placements are quite average here. From our batch, around 30% of the students got placed with an average salary package of around 3 LPA-5 LPA in good companies like Sabra, Oyo and Casio. They got job roles of programmer, data analyst and database engineer.
Infrastructure: The most important thing in our college is that classrooms are well organised here and have a decent capacity to accommodate a batch. There are good labs to perform practicals, and extracurricular activities are conducted. Canteens here are really clean, and you can hang out there with your friends.
Faculty: The most important thing about any college is teaching. Teachers here are quite friendly, and their way of teaching students is excellent. They mainly focus on the practical part rather than theoretical knowledge, so students here have real-life-based problem-solving skills.
Other: Our college organises 2 major events every year, which are quite refreshing for students and teachers. So, it is a good thing. You won't get scholarships due to a lack of knowledge.
