My experience in SIES College (2015-2017).

Placements: Placements are available in good companies like ICICI Prudential and many more including baking, insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Most of us got placements in those companies. Internships were offered. The placement process was generally long enough and is divided into three different stages which took place for a week with 5 different companies.

The campus is the best for learning.

Placements: The placements were available, but not up to the mark. As we were doing B.Com, we usually get job profiles of sales and back office related, but we request to provide placement for finance and accounts too because we become a graduate in commerce field.

Life in SIES is a fun-filled experience in the career and activities.

Placements: The recent placement offered was from Tata consultancy. It was kind of a call centre job with only night shifts available. The salary ranged from Rs.13,000 to Rs.15,000 with drop facility available. They conducted a seminar first wherein they provided the students with their job profile and the hours of work. After that session, the interview round was conducted, and then the students were selected.

One of the best colleges for commerce in Mumbai with the most knowledgeable faculty and clean infra

Placements: Third-year students of B.Com do not have placement options. The college does not have campus placements for the course of B.Com Usually, students do professional courses along with this course, therefore, there is no request even from students. The commerce section does not hold campus recruitment for any other course too.

Good name and good for students pursuing professional courses

Placements: No placements for BCom but self-financing courses have placements. Not sure if placements have started post-2015. But a good name of the college and has A-grade given by NAAC, so it is good if you get through. The minority is for only Tamil-speaking people, but it is good to develop personality if you participate in events and programmes.

Well-qualified and friendly faculty.

Placements: Many top MNC companies visited for placements. I don't know the exact figures of the number of students placed and the highest, average and lowest salaries offered. Most of the students got good packages. Some of the got more than the average packages while some were not allowed for placements because of their low attendance which is right (at least for me).

Missing and hissing of college life.

Placements: HDFC, TATA were among the few companies which visited the college campus. Very few were able to get through it as many students were not notified about the campus recruitments. For B.Sc IT, Infosys was among the key recruiters. It offered a salary of Rs. 19,000 per month (all inclusive) to our previous batch and asked them to come to Bangalore and stay there for 3 months post which they shall be shifted to any part in India for the next 9 months. After that, they shall be given an opportunity to...

Good college life with good knowledge.

Placements: B.Com didn't have placements then. M.Com had placements. Banks like Axis Bank had come to our college. Banking roles were offered. I did only B.Com from SIES. From M.Com, one of my seniors was selected for Axis Bank and she was happy with the pay. She had to work in Axis Bank for one year. Around 30% students were placed by the campus.

Brilliant faculty, decent infrastructure.

Placements: As for placements, the job profiles were mostly back-end profiles. And it was very rare for students to even avail placements, because almost everyone wished to pursue higher studies or take up another professional course.

Review about SIES College of Commerce and Economics.

Placements: It depends on the type of course that we are pursuing. For BMS, there are no placements through the college. The college does not provide internships or placements. There are a few small companies that visit our college, but the profiles offered are not that great and so people tend to go for higher studies. Last year, there were no placements as such in the college.

I mostly like my college.

Placements: 120 students were placed in my course. Mostly, the salary is around 20-25k. I am currently studying in the first year, so I don't have any idea. My college provides various courses like B.Com, BMS, M.Com, and BSc IT. Overall, it is the best college not only to learn but also to get exposure.

Good placements but quality of teachers is little bad but infrastructure is good.

Placements: Placements are quite good as far as fresher's are concerned. Average salary package is between 10-15k. Companies like Camps India, TCS visit SIES every year for campus placements. There is a placement cell and it is quite useful for the students. Placements are done not only based on academics but also on their performance in GDPI round.

Great placement and amazing infrastructure.

Placements: Top companies from Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai visit our college for giving placements. 90%-95% of students are getting placement in our college. Salary offered is also really good with other allowances like accommodation, food, travelling, refreshments, etc.
