Placements: The average placement was 75% till 2015. But this figure dropped this year to almost 50% because of the college being moved to the Tier-3 list. No matter of your field you can get an IT job with decent salary if you were able to crack the interview. The average salary you get is just above 3.25 LPA. Top recruiters are GEP, TCS, LnT Infotech, Tech Mahindra, Zycus, etc. The job profile is mostly you get here as an assistant software developer, data analyst, assistant system engineer, graduate engi...
Infrastructure of the college is good and excellently maintained and kept clean, even the labs are also very good but the only problem is with the ground. The college has no good ground for the students to play in. The students have to go to neighboring RAIT College for the ground to play. The campus is bit small as compared to other colleges in Navi Mumbai. Canteen is very nicely maintained and spacious. Library doesn't carry some wanted books but the place is quite and calm to sit and study. ...
It has a great infrastructure with well-equipped labs and facilities including the library. The college has a good and refreshing campus area. Excellent placements are provided to the students. It has a very good faculty, supportive and knowledgeable. It provides great exposure to extracurricular activities and loads of festivals and fun are there in the college.
It's a pretty good college. The teachers are quite friendly. But very few of them teach with the intention of imparting knowledge. Mostly the teaching is exam-oriented. There is an anonymous feedback system, where your feedback about the faculty is taken up seriously and can make a difference. Placement cell and the placements are good. It has good infrastructure. The college is very strict about the attendance. The college has imposed a fine of 2k if found with a mobile anywhere in the campus.
The 4 years of my life were spent here and they were really worthwhile. Proper focus was given to knowledge as well to our placement activities. The infrastructure though not huge, is big enough. TPO looks after the fact that all students get proper placement opportunities. The crowd present is eager to learn but at the same time, eager to enjoy in the college festivals which proves to be successful year after year. All in all, SIES GST is a really good college.
It was an amazing experience in an amazing college. It helped me develop myself at personal as well as professional level. It has got some talented faculty who make you realise that going for classes is not necessary. The infrastructure is quite normal not like some shopping malls. The placement cell is too good. It is only because of them that even the students with less than 60% aggregate are also placed in some or the other company.
Infrastructure: The College has good campus & infrastructure. The campus life is good. Classrooms are well maintained. Labs are excellent and well equipped. Placements: Placement activities are well conducted. Most of the companies which come are IT companies: TCS, Tech Mahindra, IGATE, LnT Infotech etc. Limited core options. Nearly 80-90% of the students get placed. Faculty: The teaching at SIES GST overall is decently ranging from poor to excellent teaching faculty members. For some subj...
The decision of joining SIES was a difficult one. It is one of the renowned colleges in Mumbai and it has good facility as well as faculty. The lab sessions and the guidance provided was good and helped me in developing my circuit building skills and understanding electronic gadgets more. Also, this campus encourages sports which I feel was a plus point for me as it is important to play along with studies.
Overall, it is a good college. The crowd is the best part. It helped me in developing into who I am today. The sports facilities could have been better. The canteen has been renewed and it’s good. The college is presently having some issues regarding permissions. I would recommend this college to everyone.
SIES has a proper kind of ambience for an engineering student. The college not only provides degree but allow us to showcase our talents in multiple areas. My college has played vital role in my life to be where I'm today. The college has got well-equipped labs, library having latest set of books and magazines for the students. The college also motivates students in being active in vernacular areas by conducting set of technical as well as cultural events. Moreover, college faculty is very help...
Overall, a decent college with good infrastructure. Campus placements are not great especially if you are from non IT background. The institute has carved a name for itself in Navi Mumbai for the infrastructure. The library is excellent and the administration is pretty great too.
SIES is a good college with a good campus. Too strict on mobile usage inside campus. If found, there is a fine of Rs. 5000. I-cards are to be worn all the time, failure of which will result into another fine. Labs have more than average facilities, but faculty is not up to the mark. It is a happening college with lot of good fests.
The college has good infrastructure, strict rules, less exposure, and good placements. Overall, I could not complain regarding the college life I had, even though it had a more school type upbringing. The management is good. The college lacks anything related to sports; it does not even have a proper ground. The college host many robotic activities and hosts many national events. The IEEE and IETR Workshops are also conducted and the college has its own IEEE and IETR membership. The lab infrast...
The library is good but the number of books is not enough. The technical activities are very much encouraged and also the fests are a huge deal. The faculty of electronics and telecom department are of mixed variety, most of the professors are really good and a few are average. Syllabus completion is taken very seriously in the college, irrespective of the year, and is completed by the faculty without failure (except for the not-so-important chunks). The attendance is a very serious issue. Those...
SIESGST has shaped my career in best way possible. From excelling in academics to participating in various technical contests and leadership programmes, GST has given me opportunities to achieve all that I aspired for. GST may not be a college that boasts of best infrastructure or so, but it has excellent faculty to guide you at every step. Apart from technical learning, GST works on overall development of an individual. An advice to those looking for some discipline and serious learning, you ne...
It is a college with very good crowd, with balanced academics and extra-curricular activities. There are lot of events to learn from and a lot of opportunities for students. There are faculty members that encourage students to participate in technical events so that one gain more knowledge in one's field of interest.
The college is average. It is pretty strict about attendance and submissions and you might be detained for failing to maintain a certain required attendance. The labs and classrooms are well maintained and way better than some of the colleges ranked higher than SIES. Teachers do try to complete the entire syllabus most of the times but all end up skipping a few topics naming those as self-study. Almost everyone gets placed in the usual IT companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, L&T etc.
Great 4 years of mine there was a fun environment but sometimes strict also when necessary. The faculty is top notch, they care about everyone’s performance. Constant assessments during the semester may be daunting but is useful in the long run especially, during semester exams. Also, a very diverse and fun crowd. I recommend this college to aspiring engineers.
It's a cool place to study in. The faculty is awesome. I remember the time when we used to have fun during SIES fest. 80 percent of crowd you will find in SIES are south Indians. Situated in Mumbai, the college was easily accessible. Also there were many cool places outside to hang out after college.
It’s a good place to be at. The Campus life is amazing and the College is located in Nerul which is a hub of Engineering Colleges. The College is a little strict when it comes to attendance, but that is the best part of the College as it is one place where there is an actual combination of studies and fun together.
