    Silicon, Beyond Everything.
Placements: Our University has achieved an 83% placement rate for 2023, with 805 job offers and 43% of offers above 5 LPA. Top packages reached 28 LPA, and 246 internships were provided. Over three years, companies increased by 42% and internship offers by 54%, showcasing strong industry ties.
Infrastructure: Our college has AC and non-AC classrooms, all ventilated with fans, lights, and projectors. Wi-Fi is limited to certain areas, like the library, labs, AC classrooms, and Skylab (open sitting space). The library offers unique cubical seating with ample books, including educational, fictional, spiritual, etc. Hostels (with AC and non-AC rooms) are decent, with 4 persons per room and separate canteens for veg and non-veg. Students can also avail of food without onion and garlic.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and approachable, offering consultations for doubts. The curriculum is somewhat industry-relevant, with ample chances to learn industry skills. Exams are tough; 40 marks are needed to pass the exam in any subject, combining mid-term (of 25 marks), teacher assessment (15 marks), and end-semester (60 marks) scores.

University which is more like a school than a college.
Placements: Last year, 83% of students were placed, with the highest package reaching 58 LPA and the lowest at 3 LPA. Notable recruiters included Micron, Intel, Tata Power, and Tech Mahindra. Among the 2021-2025 batch, 90% secured internships. Core roles offered in this field involve RTL coding using VHDL, test bench creation, and simulation.
Infrastructure: The college has adequate facilities, with both AC and non-AC classrooms that are well-lit, ventilated, and equipped with projectors. Wi-Fi is available in specific areas such as the library, Skylab, II cell, and all labs, though not everywhere on campus. The library features a unique cubical "swastik" seating arrangement and provides access to adequate books and newspapers. The hostels are in good condition, but the number of students per room has increased to four. The mess serves decent food, though quality can vary. Separate canteens are available for vegetarians, non-vegetarians, and guests, with a new canteen specifically for third- and fourth-year students.
Faculty: Teachers possess in-depth knowledge of their subjects and are approachable, offering consultation during college hours. The course curriculum aligns with industry requirements to some extent, while the college provides ample opportunities to acquire additional industry-relevant skills. The semester exams are challenging; students need to understand the basics to meet the passing criteria. Grading consists of midterm exams (25 marks), teacher assessments (15 marks), and end-semester exams (60 marks). A total score of 40 is required to pass, but there are no separate passing criteria for midterm and teacher assessments.
Other: I am from the Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering branch, which has fewer students but offers significant opportunities. Numerous events and festivals are organized throughout the year, such as Nirman (a technical fest), cultural events like Zygon and Rhythmnova, and celebrations for Diwali, Christmas, and New Year. Small musical concerts among students are also hosted in Skylab. The college actively updates students about scholarships and assists in the application process. Extracurricular activities are supported through various clubs.

    Dissatisfied with infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of the students get placed in our course. The highest package offered was 9 LPA and the lowest package offered was 3.5 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture, Capgemini and other mass recruiting companies. 30 percent of the students got internships at companies like Haber and PwC. The top roles offered in our course are assistant engineer and software engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for our course is small and the college does not provide many facilities. There are 12 labs available for our course, which is not sufficient as the number of students is higher. There is Wi-Fi available only in the labs but it's speed is very low. The classrooms do not have AC so during the summer, it is very hard to attend classes. Our college library remains open from 10:00 am to 9:00 p.m., and students can go and study there.
Faculty: All the teachers are qualified from state government colleges in Odisha, which is not so popular. Some of the teachers have very good knowledge about the course they teach, while others do not have any knowledge. Some teachers simply come and read the PPT and go. The teachers are not very helpful. The course curriculum is not relevant; it does not make the student industry ready. Students have to learn coding by themselves to become industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult. Students pass exams by just studying 1 or 2 days before the exam. The pass percentage for any subject is 40 percent.
Other: I chose this course because it has much scope in the IT industry and the package offered in this course is more than that offered in other courses. The best thing about the course is that it has a has a higher percentage of placement than other courses. If the college teaches students only what is required in the industry, that would be better. In our college, only one annual event is organized, and that is Zygon. There is no festival held at our college. The campus crowd is not huge, as fewer students study at our college. The surroundings of the campus are good. Near our college, companies like Accenture, TCS, and Capgemini are located. There are no extracurricular activities conducted at our college.

Our college is very environment friendly and I do love my college .
Placements: In the previous year, 83% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 58 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Micron, Intel, Tata Power, and Tech Mahindra. About 90% of students in the upper batch (2021-2025) secured internships in areas like RTL code using VHDL, test bench creation, and simulation.
Infrastructure: The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi in most areas except for the hostel. Classrooms are available in both AC and non-AC variants, all of which are well-ventilated and adequately lit. Each classroom is fitted with a projector. While Wi-Fi is not accessible everywhere, it is available in key areas like the library, Sky Lab, II Cell, and all labs near the electronics and electrical departments. The library is well-maintained with a unique cubicle seating arrangement in a swastik pattern and houses a good collection of books and newspapers. Hostel facilities are decent, with rooms accommodating up to four students. Although the food quality can be inconsistent, it is manageable. Separate canteens for vegetarians, non-vegetarians, and guests are available, with a newly added canteen for 3rd- and 4th-year students.
Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable and possess in-depth expertise in their respective subjects. They offer consultancy hours during college timings for students to clarify doubts. The course curriculum is moderately aligned with industry requirements, but the college provides ample opportunities for skill enhancement. Semester exams are challenging, and students must thoroughly understand the basics to pass. A total of 40 marks is required, distributed as 25 marks from midterms, 15 from teacher assessments, and 60 from end-semester exams. There is no minimum passing mark required for midterms and teacher assessments.

Decent choice for students and ROI is good.
Placements: Placement in college is decent—not very good, not very bad. If you have put in efforts, learnt a coding language, and done some projects, then you can expect average placement (4-6 lpa). Students will get opportunities as their placement season approaches; it is on the caliber of the student to grab the best . Apart from that, very rarely companies with packages above 10 LPA visit the campus; most companies offer packages below 5 LPA, then between 6 and 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wifi is not provided in the hostel, which is not good. Other than that, the infrastructure is up to the mark; the campus is small but we'll maintain it. Labs have ACs, hostels have both AC and non-AC options available, and many classrooms also have ACs. For food, we have a canteen, which is not separate for boys and girls . We have three canteens: one vegetarian, one non-vegetarian, and one for seniors.
Faculty: Faculty is also decent; it depends; some are really good and have good subject knowledge, whereas some do lack . Most of the faculties are PHD holders but the problem with a few subjects is that the faculties are not updated with the new subjects like AI, meaning they are not experts in that subject so somewhere there is a lack of quality teaching . But at the same time, many faculties are present who are subject experts and seniors also do projects under some .
Other: The college can be considered as the fees are not very high and the academics are good . If one does hard work, he / she will get placed .

Pretty decent college because of the placements and research opportunities.
Placements: The previous year, the placement percentage was 80 percent. The highest package is around 28 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. The top companies are Haber, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra. Most roles offered are software engineers, and some sales roles are also offered here. Core companies are also coming, like Tata Power, etc.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the class. The infrastructure is pretty decent. The labs are good. The library is very big. It has 2 rooms. One for AC and another for non-AC. The food quality in the mess is the worst—not eatable at all. There are no medical facilities except ambulances. Sports opportunities are good here.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. All have done Ph.D. All have experience above 10 years. The course curriculum is a little bit relevant. There are 2-3 internships that make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not so hard. You can say M.Ed. is difficult. The pass percentage is 6 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because of the placement ratio and strict curriculum. The best thing is that there are many options where you can choose your favorite subjects. Events are very poor. No scholarship is there.
