Silicon west is a good engineering college for engineering aspirants.

Placements: Placements are good. College somewhere lags behind giving proper planning for students to see the real life competition and provide a platform to know more about the placement drives. Many recruiting companies like infosys, wipro, etc. Comes every year for offering jobs.

Absolutely satisfied with the campus life but the campus placement may had went more proper.

Placements: 50% students were placed and rest other students got placed from off campus placement. Some other students went for higher studies like GATE and MBA. Although my branch was civil so we were not allowed to sit in most of the companies as there were more IT companies who came for placement.

Good college, nice location, well versed, caring faculty members and awesome surrounding.

Placements: The placements were nice for both junior and the senior batches. The average salary offered was 3.6 LPA. The role offered was a software engineer. There was a placement cell which helped all the students by grooming them in all aspects and helping them in getting placed in MNCs.

This college is moderate, but good.

Placements: Placements in this college are comparatively better. Though it faces a crisis due to the recession, but there are placements as being a reputed college it adds value. The facilities provided for placement training is moderate, but most of the bright students grab a job.

Not at all satisfied with the college facility and infrastructure but the faculty members are good.

Placements: A limited no of companies are called for placement and then 100% placement is a dream here and at about 30-40% of placement is always done. And in these few years the rate of placement has been declining very fast. They rarely focus on the college environment.

Good infrastructure and good faculty members.

Placements: Well when we were in 1st year placement then was quite good with a percentage of around 80 to 85 % and now it has decreased to 50 to 55 percentage. Infocys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Mindtree are the companies take students from our college. Avarage salary offered is around 15 to 20 thousands per month.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placement in previous years.

Placements: A majority of our students are placed during the on campus recruitment processes, for the last decade. The hiring firm including IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, mind tree, Accenture and capegemini to name a few. Some of our students also find employment with core engineering.

Silicon institute of technology, patia.

Placements: Placement is not that good Mainly IT companies are coming But when u have talent does this matter. There are few guys who didn't joined here forcefully, they joined because they wanted to be engineer and they got placed in nice companies. Placement is not good because many are there who joined when they had no other option so practically it's not possible for those to get placement.

I will rate it good for the teaching purpose.

Placements: Here in Silicon, the placement is good but not the best. Look if you are capable of getting the job, then you will be selected in the campus. So about 70% or more of the seniors batch got the job but in only the IT companies. No core companies recruit the students means no core sector companies come to the campus. Talking about the salary, the companies offer around 25-35K per month. The companies like Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra visit the campus.

Overall, the college is good for getting good placements and grades.

Placements: The placements are good, and our placements have not been in progress. Our senior batches had good placements in good companies like Wipro, Mahindra, etc., students got packages like 6 LPA to 10 LPA per annum, so overall placements are above average, and good.

Great Placements during our time that is in 2016. Wipro hired 294 students in on campus on day one.

Placements: Placement is better for IT sector jobs than core jobs here. Actually it has one more branches in Bhubaneswar which has much better infrastructure and faculty members compared to Sambalpur branch. Companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Techmahindra, Capgemini, TCS (off-campus) generally come to this college. So I would suggest to go for CS/IT branch for getting easy jobs in IT field.

Silicon, a bittersweet experience.

Placements: Average placements. Not enough companies come for recruitment. Most are unemployed. Major takers are Infosys and Wipro, other companies that come are Capgemini, Mindtree, etc. Students try for higher studies and prepare for GATE and CAT. Pre placement classes are conducted though.

Near about 20 companies visited our college and a lot of job opportunities were produced. We have a very dynamic placement cell which strives for the betterment of the students of the institute.
