Placements here are adequate.

Placements: Many companies, like TCS, Wipro, McAfee, Cognizant, Capgemini, Bosch, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. Training and placement experts, eminent academicians, industry people, and the immensely successful centralised placement cell support and give advice to the students to help them secure excellent placements.

Infrastructure: The facilities are average. We have a college canteen, and the quality of food served in the canteen is good. There are adequate sports facilities for basketball, badminton, football, and cricket in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are qualified with Ph.D. M.Tech degrees. They have good knowledge and are always ready to help students. Exams are truly conducted by the university and the marks are dependent on how students are studied.

Other: In this situation, after the COVID pandemic, most of the systems go online, so I think computer science-related studies are the best now.

Satistisfied and value for money and education.

Placements: Around 35 percent of the students were placed only as software engineers, the highest package was 5.10 lac. Top recruiting companies were pentonix, fleapo, Navarro, more or less everyone got an opportunity for internship. The placement cell of the college was very helpful and guided us through the process very efficiently .

Infrastructure: The college has 3 libraries, Wi-Fi and labs are great with up to date technologies at students disposal. There are 3 canteens with great offerings at an affordable cost. For games they offer a plethora like basketball courts, volleyball courts 2 football fields and a cricket field.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful but most of them are not for accepting new ideas, curriculum was not so up to date but some teachers help in self studying industry requirements. The labs are always open for students to use. The semester exams are not very hard if a student follows the class properly.

Other: I choose this course as I didn't wanna study chemistry for the next 4 years of life taking up engineering, extracurricular activities are highly appreciated in the college .

Satisfied because of faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: One of the best private college in North Bengal, 40 percent students were placed in our course every year. And the highest package is 8 Lacs and the lowest is 3 Lacs approximately.

Infrastructure: The labs are awesome and 24*7 Wi-Fi and the classrooms are awesome. There are two different hostels one for boys and one for the girls The food quality of the hostel is awesome. And there are three different canteens.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and they are highly qualified and this makes a student Industry ready.

Other: I love computer programming and coding that's why I chose this course. The college fest is just awesome.

I am satisfied with the faculty members, and college needs to focus on placements.

Placements: Placements are not that good here. In the Bachelor of Computer Application, the highest salary package offered is around 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 1.8 LPA. Most of the students got selected by mass recruiters like TCS, etc. About 20-30% of students got placed in campus placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good as the laboratories and classrooms are well-equipped with world-class technology. The quality of food available in a mess is also good. College library is also good and has ample books for students. The college organises sports tournament from time to time to promote sports among students.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are well qualified and have good knowledge and command over there subjects. Teaching quality is good in our College. The course curriculum is relevant and is as per the norms of West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata.

Not a place for good students. They don't offer much placements.

Placements: The placements for our batch were not that good. Only a few students got placements. The salary offered to them who got selected was not revealed to us. And, few good companies like TCS and Wipro came. They selected mostly the electrical and CSE department students of B.Tech. It is not a good placement providing college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good as compared to other colleges in Siliguri. They provide free Wi-Fi inside the campus. Labs and classrooms are really good. Canteen is really good, and the price of food is normal. They also have a gym on the campus.

Faculty: Few teachers are really good, helpful and highly qualified. But, some of them don't even care about the students. They are careless and come late to the class. And, start telling their own stories instead of teaching. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1 (not approximately). The course curriculum was really useful.

Other: The events happen several times like annual social programs.

Siliguri institute of technology is a good college with awesome faculty members.

Placements: The college placements are not that good. The highest package is around 5.25 Lakhs, and average package is around 2.4 Lakhs to 3.23 Lacs, 50-60% students from every batch are placed every year, there are not much internship opportunity very few students get internship opportunity in the college.

Infrastructure: This college infrastructure is good, labs & classrooms are fully equipped with modern technologies also time to time games, events are organised, food available in the canteen is pretty good, hostel rooms are provided on a sharing basis, I had not faced any infrastructure issues till now.

Faculty: The faculty members are good & college follows the curriculum as provided by the Techno India Group as it is a part of techno India group. Teachers are very interactive, and the student-faculty ratio is 40:1. Though, time workshops & seminars, are organised to give industrial exposure to the students.

Other: IT college has own events which are organised time to time.

SIT Siliguri BCA Scholarships

The students pursuing a course from the institute are open to scholarships provided by the West Bengal Government. West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation provides Post-Matric Scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships. Scholarships will be provided to eligible students in order of merit and subject to the budgetary allocation provided by the State Government. For renewal, the aspirant will be eligible for the scholarship if he/she has obtained 50% aggregate in his/ her previous examination.
