Since most of the students opt for their Master's Degree after graduation, the college hardly takes interest in calling in Companies for placements.

It's a good college with good mentoring and experienced teachers and teaching facilities.
Placements: According to the course, they provide placement; not all courses get placements from this college. I haven't heard much about the roles and internships provided by the college, but students have gotten into companies across the country with their perseverance and hard work.According to the course, they provide placement; not all courses get placements from this college. I haven't heard much about the roles and internships provided by the college, but students have gotten into companies across the country with their perseverance and hard work.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi available only for faculty
Labs are there for practical work
Few classes have AC and few has projector. Has 3 halls to conduct meetings and events.
And it has good canteen facilities. Canteen here have both veg and non veg facilities and provides hygiene services .
Faculty: The teacher was indeed very helpful and had lots of experience and different ways to teach students. They are recruited with high standards and knowledge. Many lecturers and professors have helped students develop their careers and futures with their high knowledge and experience.
Other: B.Com is a financial and business perspective course that helps an individual take steps into the corporate and secondary to tertiary sectors. Thus, knowing more and having personal interests in this field led me to this course, and it has been a good decision to choose the subject.

Best College in Every Aspect in Siliguri.
Placements: 40% of the students got placements in MNCs, with a few securing positions at TCS, PwC, Wipro, and others. The placement facility is new to the Salesian environment and has proven very helpful for students, as it provides job opportunities within the campus, eliminating the need for post-graduation job searches.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very clean and hygienic, featuring modular, air-conditioned classrooms with LED projectors for enhanced understanding of concepts. The campus is spacious, and the view of the hills from the college premises is stunning.
Faculty: During my time, the course curriculum and examination structure followed the guidelines of the University of North Bengal, and the syllabus was thoroughly covered before exams. CIA tests were conducted monthly to assess progress in each subject.
Other: I was from a commerce background in school and always wanted to continue this field of study. Salesian College was the best place for this course.

If you are going to pursue BBA from this college.
Placements: There is no placement opportunity in our college; we don't get any placement opportunities. We only get internships in our 3rd year with the college itself. We can get internships in our specialized field, like have finance so we can get internships in finance and not in other fields.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good; they have smart boards in every class, and the library is also very good but the books are a little bit old. The whole college has Wi-Fi but only faculty can use it, and students are not eligible to use it, so we can't use it.
Faculty: The faculty is qualified and they are very helpful but the teaching quality is very bad. You cannot understand what they are teaching, and the curriculum is not very good because they are just copying and pasting from the other college because they are autonomous
.
Other: Yes, I will choose this course, but this college is not the best for the BBA. The curriculum has to be improved, as does the faculty's way of teaching .

I'm very satisfied to have chosen this college; they even provide with you other organizations.
Placements: Basically, we are offered internship programmes where we give interviews for different companies, get enlisted through our performances and if we get selected for more than one company, we get a choice to prioritize it for ourselves and then put in our efforts for it.
Infrastructure: We are given smart classes in a healthy environment in the college, where the faculty are educated and provide us with the best knowledge. Even our college canteens are very clean, and we are provided with the best libraries and drinking water facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are Ph.D. holders; they are very helpful and make sure that we are up to date with our attendance and engaged in everything and every event. Till now, in our classes, the highest SGPA is 8 and the teachers even held counselling sessions for those students who are irregular.
Other: I am doing Sociology Hons and I chose this subject for my own benefit and understanding .

Good environment, good infrastructure.
Placements: Talking about placements, it's not quite good. I have not seen students getting any placement. Since I have not seen anyone getting placements I don't think the college has any package. The college does offer a Masters degree but placements are not something the college will offer you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top notch with large classrooms, smart boards, Wi-Fi, labs and everything one can think of. The hostel is not quite good as there is a small room which 4 people have to share. The hostel food is not good but the canteen food in college is good as they have a wide variety. There is a medical room and sports room and a gym as well.
Faculty: The teachers are super helpful clearing all doubts one comes across. The exams are affiliated to nbu and one can say that the exams are not so difficult and the pass percentage is 40. The teachers are quite knowledgeable. Some teachers teach well, while some don't. And we all know this happens in all educational institutions.
Other: The college has lots of extra curricular activities which make it super fun. The college does provide scholarship.

Overall, a below average college as of 2024.
Placements: Zero placement opportunities are given by the college during the academic season. And even after graduation, very few placement opportunities are available via the alumni portals with very low packages. Definitely not a good option when it comes to placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent. During the initial academic season of 2020-21, the infrastructure was poor, but construction has been going on on the campus, and improvements are being made. The new library is quite good, yet the department of commerce needs more improvements.
Faculty: The faculty used to be good when I joined in the year 2020, but as of 2023, the experienced teachers have all left the college, and mostly freshmen teachers are there. Only a very handful of experienced teachers are left in the college, so that's one concern.
Other: Initially I never planned to join this college, but since I had no better options of colleges in Siliguri since all the colleges are more or less the same, and because of the pandemic in the year 2020, I could opt to leave my city and go to other cities, so I had to go with Salesian due to the lack of options available.

Yes, even if you are from Odisha you are still eligible to apply to Salesian College. Since English is the primary language of instruction, learning Bengali should not have a major impact on your academic performance. Bengali may be used in regular conversations but knowing a few fundamental phrases
