Overall, the college is good.

Placements: The placement of all the eight branches of Sinhgad Institutes is done together. As such, there is no separate placement for Sinhgad College of Engineering. More than 150 companies visit for placement. Around 120 companies are from the IT sector. The overall placement scenario is good.

SCOE - An honest review of the oldest college among Sinhgad Institutes.

Placements: The placement scenario is quite average here in Sinhgad. Product based companies tend to come here before the service based companies, giving the product based companies an edge in getting better students. Companies like Nvidia and Microsoft come when they want and are too choosy about their cut-off schemes. Companies like Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant are the major recruiters here. Students from all branches are recruited in these companies. The average package is Rs. 3.25 lpa. ...

The best college for students who are good in studies and want to explore their domain.

Placements: Placements are pretty good. Around 80%+ students were placed last year and this year also, the students are getting placed. This year, so far, eQ Technologic has come and offered 6.5 LPA and hired 2 students. Many other companies also came but they have only had pre-placement talk till now. The interview process will begin after 15th Aug (University exam is the reason). Companies like TIAA, NPCI, Xoriant, NewGen, AWS, have given their academic criteria, selection process and told the interested ...

Really good placements in 2016-17, very good infrastructure and facilities

Placements: Around 250-300 companies visits our campus and recruit the students. The highest package was 14 lakhs and the average package was 3.5 lakhs. Software developer, GET, internship, etc. posts are offered by the companies. Almost 90% students got placed and 10% are going abroad for higher education.

Absolutely satisfied. Campus and faculty are really good but the placement is not that good.

Placements: They are not as good as other branches and the salary offered was a bit low. A few companies like SPCL came and the salary was also good but the number of students who participated was very less due to criteria. There was a large number of students who wanted to get placed but due to the minimum number of vacancies, the students were disappointed.

Above average in all aspects.

Placements: From the placement point of view, the college is good. More than 60 good companies visited this year. But, the competition is high because of the centralised placement system. Most of the students are placed in mass recruitment. The average package offered is around 2 to 4 lacs. The highest package offered was 12 lacs by HSBC and lowest was 1.5 lacs. Overall, the college is good and there is a better future ahead of you so work hard.

The best infrastructure and campus in Pune.

Placements: In Sinhgad College, the overall placements are very good and the best for my batch. The highest salary offered by companies to students was around 12 lakhs per annum, the lowest salary is offered was about 2.5 lakhs per annum and on an average, it was 3 lakhs per annum for students who were selected.

Good infrastructure, placements and location.

Placements: If you want to start your career in IT, this college provides the best platform or that. All big IT companies and both core and service-based companies came for placements. Some of the big names are Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, Manhattan, Zensar and much more. Cognizant alone hired 1000+ students from Sinhgad Institute (all engineering colleges of Sinhgad combined). These companies offered packages ranging from 3 LPA to 7 LPA. It also provided an in-college internship (a kind of training in te...

The college where people go if they don't have enough marks for MIT or PICT.

Placements: The placements are good. If you have a percentage above 60 or even 55, there are very good chances of getting placed. The salary is only around 3.2-4 lakhs per year. Only exceptional students can get better companies. Internships are difficult to get here. No recommendations are provided by the college.

If possible, try to avoid taking an admission in any private technology college in Maharashtra.

Placements: Roles offered in core domains like mechanical, civil and electrical were only 10%. Out of the 40% of the batch placed out of 1500 students, 90% were placed in the IT companies like Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. The highest package offered was 5 LPA by Mahindra and Mahindra whereas the lowest package was 2 LPA by one of the IT companies. Roles offered were mainly in the domain of trainee programmer and graduate engineer trainee. None of the students got any form of internship from ...

Good college life and overall development of a student. I recommend this college. One of the best.

Placements: Placements in the college are quite good for many branches like computer engineering, electronics engineering, except for some branches like civil engineering and mechanical engineering to some extent. But the people from these branches also get placed through off-campus recruitment drives. During my time, our branch had about 80% of placement and the same case was for our senior batch. The highest package was 14 LPA while the average package offered was 5-6 LPA and the lowest package was 2.5 LP...

Good college to do engineering from.

Placements: Frequent placement drives were conducted & over 1000 students were placed in many well-known companies. Highest CTC was 8 LPA provided by Nvidia & companies like Tata Technologies. Oracle visited and got students placed. Other mass recruiters like Cognizant, Infosys and Accenture visited the campus.

A good course but fewer core placements.

Placements: Placements for our department are not so good as most of the jobs are those the companies bring to offer the computer or BE people. 40-50% were only placed from the department. The highest package was 6 LPA and the minimum was 2 LPA, averaging to 3 LPA. Companies like Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Infosys etc. came. Most of them were IT firms. Roles like tester, designer, web application developer etc. were there. There were no internships for the department. ...

Placements: Placements are perfect and companies approaching are good. There is a good connectivity with students through the Gems website. Time to time update and guidance is provided. More than 200 companies visited and a fixed job is given to each student.

Placements: Placements are just above average as comparable to other colleges. 85% were placed from our department. The highest package was 8 lacLPA and the minimum was 1 LPA with an average of 3 LPA. Companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, INFOSYS etc. came and a majority were IT companies only. Roles like a tester, backhand executive, customer data analyst etc. No internship in our department.

Review for the Sinhgad College of Engineering.

Placements: Good placement record, but maximum opportunities are given to students from computer science and IT. The companies coming to the campus recruitment are mostly in the IT sector, with very few opportunities in the core sector. Students other than computer sciences branch face problems for campus selections. Students who are pursuing higher education after their bachelor's degree get very few chances, even to appear for the placement drives. The average packages offered to students are around 3.5...

Good and efficient college.

Placements: For core companies, the placement was less but for IT companies, the placement was good. The highest salary for core job was around 5 lakhs per annum, the lowest was around 3 lakhs and the average salary was around 3 lakhs. I think the reason for less placements is that many students go for higher studies.

Life of an engineer in Sinhgad.

Placements: I am still in my second year so I have yet to experience this myself. But according to my seniors and some friends, the average percentage of placement (actual percentage i.e- including the people who were not allowed to sit for placement interviews due to various reasons like active backlog and stuff) is roughly around 60%. As for IT and computers, there are various companies present like Infosys, Cognizant and TCS. I believe Mahindra and Forbes Marshall also visited the campus.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of college faculty but placement and campus are good.

Placements: Placement is not quite good as proper guidance is not provided by the college. Still, every year, many companies visit the college for campus placement. So if you are lucky enough and have got good marks then maybe you have that chance. Though the college is now conducting some programs which can increase your chances of placement.
