This is one of the best colleges for commerce and arts.
Placements: Sivnath Sastri College is one of the best colleges for commerce. The average salary package for the course is reasonable and can be offered to anyone. There are around 200 students in my class. Placements include top companies. Percentage of students who got internships is around 70%.
Infrastructure: There are good classrooms, a computer room, and a library. College offers free Wi-Fi. Quality and quantity of food in the canteen are very good. Library is peaceful and has a lot of books. College follows valid rules related to the library, and the staff is very nice.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They are helpful and friendly to each student. Semesters are difficult, but our teachers did their best. By pursuing this course, there are many opportunities like CMA, CA, CS, Audit, etc. Students can make their careers bright in the industry.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in finance. College also provides scholarships and celebrates organises all pooja ceremonies and we also play Holi on campus.

    Good environment to cherish.
Placements: Studying in Sivanath is the best day of my life. It's the best place to get the proper education; they try their level best to give you support. They didn't offer such a placement but one or two opportunities they will surely give you. We get offers to connect with TCS, one of the top MNCs. Otherwise, some NGO company will come to you in such cases.
Infrastructure: Facilities like you will get a Wi-Fi connection, a proper environment to study, and rooms are neat and clean, like we can think. Additionally, you will have access to the library. Coming to the canteen part, you won't get many varieties but the food they provide is good. Also, you will find a game room. Medical facilities are easily available.
Faculty: The professors are really helpful. Definitely highly qualified and knowledgeable enough. They are very down to earth. You can connect with them 24*7. Semester exams are moderate, not too difficult, not so easy like they should be. Passing% is 40% at least.
Other: I would love to see if more extracurricular activities are included. And more fests and events should be done to remember and cherish college life more in the future.

Not satisfied because of the facilities provided.
Placements: I think not more than 40 percent. I was not part of the placement cell so I actually don't have an idea about the package; it was about 3–5 lacs per year. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Bajaj, and Matrimony. The top roles that were given were relationship manager, junior or senior assistant manager.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are big enough; some of them have smart boards but the library is so small that it feels like no one has ever used it. The washrooms are pathetic. The canteen is very small, and the food provided doesn't feel hygienic. Rest, sports and game facilities are quite good.
Faculty: The teachers overall are very cooperative, especially during the examination. The teachers are very qualified at my college. The semester exams are quite difficult as the college is under Calcutta University, so they don't follow the 6-month course. The semester will start at any time and the exam will also come. So overall, it's average.
Other: The best thing was that the teachers themselves helped the students prepare for interview, etc. The things which I think should be improved is the communication skill, as the teacher always talk in Bengal so non-Bengali can't understand what they say It's a task sometimes. No events as such are celebrated.

The college is known as the best girls' college in South Kolkata.
Placements: Shivna Shastri College provides placements to students. Only semester 5 and semester 6 students are eligible for placement. Some of the recruiters who visited the college for placements are TCS, Wipro, Mahindra, Teach, etc. The highest package offered by companies was 7 to 8 lakhs per annum. Every year, 70% of students get placements.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility. Shivna Shastri College's infrastructure is very good and beautiful. The college campus includes a canteen, ground, auditorium, library, and spacious classrooms. The only thing I dislike about the college is the canteen, which is less spacious according to the student ratio.
Faculty: The college gives full importance to all types of sports and extracurricular activities. Any student can participate in activities or sports like chess, Kabaddi, cricket, football, dancing competitions, singing competitions, etc. The college is located in a very good and peaceful place. The faculty members of the college are very qualified, well-behaved, and helpful to their students. The college faculty provide full support for applying for any scholarship. The teaching style of the faculty members is modern and easy to understand for students. If you focus on studies in the college, you will not need to join any tuition or coaching classes.
Other: Every batch is given freshers' and farewell parties by the students. The library of the college is well-maintained; books and journals of all kinds are available. The library staff are helpful and well-behaved.

I am absolutely satisfied with our college as it gives the best placements.
Placements: About 70% of the students are placed in our course. Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro Ltd. are the top recruiters. Government jobs are offered here, and aviation companies also offer us jobs. About 30% got internships in small companies that allow work from home.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and a library are all present in our college, but no Wi-Fi facility is there for students. The quality of food in the hostel is very good and hygienic. Our college has all the medical and transport facilities.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, but some are not. The quality of teaching is absolutely tremendous. The teachers are well-qualified. The curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are too difficult.
Other: I was very much interested in maths. That's why I chose commerce. The best part about our course is that we can get jobs easily with this course. Our college offers us various courses as well as many extra-curriculum activities in the form of sports and workshops.

Overall, I feel proud to be an alumni of one of the top commerce colleges of Calcutta.
Placements: In the year 2018, companies like TCS, BPS and PWC, SDC visited for campus recruitment. Students appeared for a pen and paper based test conducted by the companies, upon which the next level selection was done. TCS had also organized a 5 day pre-placement training programme campus to corporate, where students participated to get to know how the corporate before appearing in placements, i. e. corporate ethics, presentation skills, communication skills. Upon completion of the programme, students were provided certificates. It was really helpful indeed. The average package was 12 thousand month for TCS and 16 thousand month for PWC SDC. Nearly 80% students got placed in TCS. PWC had a tough interviewing process, but however, more than 50% cleared it. There were no internships opportunities in the college. Roles offered were mostly of a trainee associate and upon completion of a traineeship of 6 months and 1 year, students have been allocated various roles as per their skills.
Infrastructure: Not sure about Wi-Fi. The classrooms are really large which can sit 15 students. The library is an amazing place to do self study during your college hours. Also B.com books such as T. S. Grewal are available. No hostel facility available but there are facilities for PG rooms around the area. The quality of canteen food is not up to the mark.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified. I would still be not able to forget the helping hands lent by the teachers to us during the 3rd year practical exams, starting from that research project to sitting in front of your examiner. Really awesome. The faculty for B.com (hons) had a really calm attitude while answering student's queries.
Other: I had taken commerce in my higher secondary. So, to do, a B.com in accounting and finance seemed a viable option for me, as also I had scored more than 95 in accountancy and loved all the subjects. More internship opportunities should be provided. More practical training courses should be made available apart from the computer training course and the reach should be made wider.
