The harsh reality of such a good college.

Placements: Placements offered at our college are generally in tele-calling, chat support, and sales. The average salary package offered is 10k-15k per month. Companies like Mpokket, Bharat Matrimony, and Tele Performance visit our college. The job roles are not relevant with our respective course. So, the placements are not at all good.

Not satisfied because of the facilities provided.

Placements: I think not more than 40 percent. I was not part of the placement cell so I actually don't have an idea about the package; it was about 3–5 lacs per year. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Bajaj, and Matrimony. The top roles that were given were relationship manager, junior or senior assistant manager.

Overall, I feel proud to be an alumni of one of the top commerce colleges of Calcutta.

Placements: In the year 2018, companies like TCS, BPS and PWC, SDC visited for campus recruitment. Students appeared for a pen and paper based test conducted by the companies, upon which the next level selection was done. TCS had also organized a 5 day pre-placement training programme campus to corporate, where students participated to get to know how the corporate before appearing in placements, i. e. corporate ethics, presentation skills, communication skills. Upon completion of the programme, students ...

A good college with good faculty and facilities.

Placements: 60% students were placed in my course. The highest salary offered is Rs 10000, the lowest is Rs.7000 and the average is Rs.8000. TCS, Capegemini, Tech Mahindra and Genpact are the top recruiting companies. Process analyst, processor and admin work are the top job roles. 10% of the students got internship in TCS and 5% in Genpact.

Satisfied with the faculty and education system provided by my college.

Placements: To say about Sivanath Sastri College which is in Gariahat, Kolkata, I would like to speak about my stipulated course. There are near about 600 students of B.Com (Hons) in our college which is not too expensive. It requires near about Rs.33960 for 3 years course. As far as I know about the placement it is that many reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, amy, ICICI, etc. , come to our college and select eligible candidates after taking exams which is done through a process and they offer impressive sa...

I am satisfied because the college charges low fees.

Placements: Around 30% of the students got placed. The salary packages offered were good for the students who had just completed their graduation. TCS was the top recruiting company for our college. Accounts consultants was the top role offered to students. The college doesn't provide any internships for students.

Overall, it's a good college and provides great knowledge and learning.

Placements: Only TCS visited our campus for placements and only for commerce background students. In our batch, only 30 students out of 450 students were selected and out of that only ten students were placed as for six month training period and then with permanent employee shift was there.

Our college is helpful to provide cooperative faculty, good infrastructure and better placements.

Placements: A placement cell operates in our college, which organises corporate visits and workshops in the welfare of our college students. Our college has recently signed an MOU with PWC, Brainware, and TCS. This placement cell has worked out in a very well manner for our senior batch as well.

I am happy with the high-level teaching style of our professors.

Placements: I don't know much about the placements because I am in the 2nd semester. But, some of our professors said that there are a lot of opportunities for placements. Some reputed industries visited our college and offered placements in the previous years. Many students were selected.

Review of Sivanath Sastri College.

Placements: The college has started providing placement opportunities from our super senior batch. Companies like TCS, PwC, SDC, etc., visit the campus for placements. Overall, the placements are not that good with merely 25%-30% of the students getting placed from our senior batch, and the scenario is the same for us. The highest salary package offered is around 1.8 LPA. Students are hardly offered any internship opportunities.

Satisfied with everything this college offers except the behavior of some non-teaching staff.

Placements: Most of the students securing first class marks got placed in MNCs like TCS, Wipro, etc. The average package offered is Rs. 1.8 lakhs per annum to all the B.Com graduates. The post offered to students is a junior accountant. The stipend is not provided in this college.

Good placement opportunities.

Placements: The placements are in PwC and Deloitte. All the students were given opportunities to attend each and every placement interview. There is an opportunity that if a student does good in the training period, then there is a possibility to be dissolved in office as permanent faculty.

All about Sivanath Shastri College.

Placements: The placements in the third year of college are generally from these two companies Tata Consultancy Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Service Delivery Center, Kolkata. The students are trained well enough to go for walk-in campusing or off-campus campusing.

A good morning-girls' college in South Kolkata for B.Com.

Placements: The placements were held on the campus both for seniors and our batch. The maximum students have got placed. Companies like TCS, Wipro, ICICI, Mahindra, and Kotak came here. Roles which were ordered was a team leader. Many students took part. 2.5-3 LPA was the package offered. Many of my friends got placements. Mr Mohit was our trainer. He was excellent. We got much information from him. I was too satisfied. I would recommend many to take intern from him.

The best commerce college in South Kolkata.

Placements: For our batch, only TCS came for placements. They gave training to all the interested students. Then they took an aptitude test to shortlist the students. A lot of students were placed through the training programme. Personally, I felt that the package they were offering was a bit lower than other companies.

Review for Sivanath Sastri College.

Placements: The placements were nice but the notice for placements are not given properly. Big companies do not come. We have heard about this but we do not know if this really takes place properly or not. Though more requests are being sent for placements to the authority, actions have not been taken yet. The B.Com section of our college is famous but still, the placements are not as required.

Satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: The placement was average as every second student was pursuing a professional course like CA, CS and CWA along with B.Com. Around 60% of the students were placed in reputed organizations with a decent pay scale. The roles of an executive accountant or tax consultant were basically offered to the students.

A decent college in Kolkata.

Placements: The college did not put much efforts in placement but few organizations visit for placement. Consistently many organizations like TCS, Insightful, Wipro, etc. recruit the students. They take an exam and after that, those meriting hopefuls are put in these organizations with an extremely amazing pay.

I had joined Shivanath Shastri College or south city college morning. It’s a very famous and well known college. I got 85% in class 12 and joined this college. Teachers here are professors who have written books. One of the being monilal das sir who wrote accounts books. Their timing is also wonderful. So we get time to continue with other courses like ca. Fees of the college is very low and any can afford. Classes are very big with mic. One of the best college I have known.
