It is absolutely stunning and I am impressed by the infrastructure of our college.
Placements: In our college, around 300 students have opted for our course, and the major recruiting companies are TVS, Infosys, South Indian Bank, etc. Almost 85% of students got placement from our college at around 12k per annum. It was a wonderful experience to study in this college.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure: the best labs, study halls, auditoriums, and libraries. Our faculty is good; they help a lot to achieve (our goals). Sports and other activities often happen in our college. Our college conducts space exhibitions, etc.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and help us understand everything in minute detail. This course is the best for aspiring software engineers. They help us to develop ourselves. Taking seminars and other activities are there, and I was happy that our faculty members are helpful.

Good Infrastructure and Facilities
Placements: More than 60% of students were placed, with the highest package ranging from 6-7 LPA and the lowest at 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, and Bajaj. About 70% of students secure internships, mostly with TCS. Popular roles include Web Development, Data Executive, Data Analyst, and Full Stack Developer.
Infrastructure: The college provides all necessary facilities for both teachers and students, with up-to-date technology. High-speed Wi-Fi (150 Mbps) is available, and the library is top-notch, offering a wide range of books. The hostel is average, and the food quality is poor. However, a variety of sports and games are available, and everyone is encouraged to participate.
Faculty: The teachers are highly knowledgeable, and the teaching is effective. The course curriculum is relevant, but students need to put in significant effort to understand the material. Semester exams are challenging, and KTU's practices can be tough on students, as supplementary exams are a significant revenue source.
Other: Innovation in teaching and practical computer skills are essential for today's generation. While the course could benefit from being more fluid and practical, events are below average and extracurricular activities are held daily.

B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Batch of 2024
2.8

Partially satisfied, amazing faculty, not so good placements in 2023-24, amazing campus.
Placements: In terms of placements, our college has seen opportunities primarily in general roles such as software development, IT recruiter, and technical support. Unfortunately, there haven't been core companies specifically related to our field of artificial intelligence and data science. The participating companies, including UST Global, 6D Technologies, Deloitte, Sutherland, Experion, etc., have offered job packages ranging from 3 to 4 LPA, marking the current trend up to our 7th semester.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure presents a mixed scenario. The 1st-year girls' hostel is peaceful, with a central courtyard and ample washrooms, but food hygiene raises concern, including occurrences of snails, insects, and uncooked items. Hostel conditions for the remaining years of girls are notably poor. On the academic side, the course infrastructure is impressive, with a green, plastic-free campus and projectors in every classroom. Wi-Fi is available in select classrooms and labs. The college provides diverse technical labs (AI and data science labs, machine learning labs), water coolers in every block, two canteens, plus Madonna Cafe for food options. Unfortunately, daily sports access is limited to boys, offering activities like volleyball, table tennis, badminton, basketball, football, and cricket. Girls have access only during competitions. Medical assistance is available in one block with a nurse, aiming to cater to both regular and emergency needs. There are also several chapels in a few blocks for the Catholic students for their prayer.
Faculty: Being part of the pioneering batch of artificial intelligence and data science in Kerala, our teachers, initially new to the field, have shown improvement over time. While some were highly qualified with master's and PhDs in machine learning and related fields, the overall teaching quality is commendable. However, the curriculum leans more towards theory, lacking substantial practical knowledge essential for industry readiness. Insufficient emphasis on coding skills hinders our preparedness for technical interviews during placements. Semesters are manageable with focused study, yet the pass percentage is approximately 50%.
Other: Choosing this trending AI and Data Science course, I expected it to make me industry-ready swiftly, but more emphasis on practical coding assistance is needed. Despite the challenges, the course is enjoyable with the constant emergence of applications in our daily lives. The college events are limited, mostly focused on academics, with an annual schedule of tech fests, arts fests, sports meets, and Onam celebrations lacking variety. The campus, situated 7 km from Pala, lacks nearby shops. Scholarships are available based on KEAM rank and higher secondary marks. While there's a music and dance club, they receive minimal support. Overall, extracurricular activities are limited at the college. The management, at times, interferes too much with students' everything and is more than strict at times.

The faculty and the teachers are good and knowledgeable.
Placements: Placements for computer science and related fields were fairly low during the year 2024 and not a lot of big companies like Infosys or TCS have come that you would expect to come, although placements in the other core fields have been rising, but the packages are low, up to 20,000 per month or so.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is absolutely beautiful. The architecture is aesthetically pleasing but it is nothing like the colleges you find in the North in terms of college life. The infrastructure of the hostel is average; it is very strict, even in times when it is strict.
Faculty: The faculty is very good; they know what they're doing and there's an exam almost every other month but it is according to the Kerala Techno University curriculum so we can not really blame the college for it. They also give extra tutorials for practice, which some teachers mark .
Other: There's no campus life so do not expect any real events at SJCET .

Satisfied with the college facilities.
Placements: 50 percent of students are getting placements. INR 3 lacs per annum is the highest package and INR 1 lacs per annum is the lowest. Sutherland Global and AutoCAD are the top recruiters. Project manager is the highest post, but no student got placed in. Work in PWD for the state service offered by this course.
Infrastructure: There is very good infrastructure; Wi-Fi is available for students with laptops; a well-maintained class, etc. Hostel services are averagely very low in sports and arts. Mess is too expensive. Hostel facilities are average. The quality of the food in the mess is too good. giving a good review except for these problems.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is impressive. The course is curriculum-relevant. No, it does not make students ready for industry. Semester exams are difficult and exams are conducted twice in a semester. Its a good option for students.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion to be a civil engineer. Events are conducted twice a year.

SJCET, Palai - The overall experience.
Placements: Around 70% of students without arrears got placed in our course in reputed organisations. The highest salary package offered for a fresher is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Top recruiting companies from our stream are Aarbee Structures, Liva Interiors, etc.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of our college is excellent and beautiful. Our classrooms have all amenities. The library is vast with a large number of books and journals. The infrastructure of the hostel is good. The food quality in our college hostel is not good. Our canteen provides good food.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough to deal with subjects. The teaching methods vary from person to person. Some faculty members made complexity in understanding subjects. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very difficult. The pass percentage is 40%.

The hostel fees at St. Joseph College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET) are approximately 3,000 per month. This fee includes accommodation, and the overall cost can vary depending on food and other services provided at the hostel.
