It's a good college with average placements.

Placements: Placements can be rated 7 out of 10. For placements, 45 out of 60 students got placed in campus placements. TVs, CTS, Wipro, Accenture, L&T Infotech, etc., are the big companies that came for campus placements. Overall, the placements are quite good. From the 7th semester, students get opportunities from various companies organized by the college. The highest package offered is 5 Lacs per annum.

SMIT is like my second home and it is a lovely place.

Placements: Many students get placed through our college. Students prefer government job preparations after pursuing the course. Maximum students are placed in companies like TCS, and Wipro. The average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. People got jobs in the data entry and software section.

Review of SMIT - Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology.

Placements: Out of 60 students, a minimum of 20 students got placed until now from our course. The highest salary package offered here was 8 LPA. Many top-rated companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., visit here for placements. But the recruitment is very low this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in other years, they provided very good placements. But the student coordinator is not helpful at all, and he doesn't do anything and just forwards emails.

I have the best college life with good people, helpful teachers and great placements.

Placements: When I passed out from our college, the situation of the software market was not good, so I did not get placed. Some of our friends got placed. Recruiting companies were TCS, CTS, Accenture, etc. Maybe 30-35% of the students got an internship in computer science and engineering.

SMIT needs to work on its placements. Otherwise, it's a pretty good college.

Placements: Placement scenario of our college isn't that good. Previously, many IT companies visited here, but now gradually, this number has degraded a lot. In the year 2019, the highest salary package offered for CSE students was 3.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.0 LPA. TCS and CTS visit here for placements. Around 40% of the students got placements.

Review of Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology.

Placements: I scored 8.64 DGPA, the highest salary package offered around 5 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Cognizant, and IT-related companies visit our campus for placements. Around 40% of the students got placed from our batch. There is much scope of jobs in the IT field, but much scope in the core field.

Not a very satisfying campus.

Placements: The placement record for this college is not at all good. Many senior batches went with zero placement. My batch got few placements but the maximum number of students went unplaced. The batches after our batch have more bad records. Not a college with good records.

Placements in 2019 have been good. This is an excellent college.

Placements: The placement cell of the college is very good. All the students participate in their first interview that is conducted by different multinational companies during their final year. It's very good for all the students. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and LTI etc., have visited the campus for placements. Many companies hire students from our college.

SMIT - once great, now gone.

Placements: When I joined the college as a fresher, I was astonished seeing the campus placement. Almost 85% were placed in renowned companies. But it started decreasing, and in my final year, when it was time for our placement, I almost had no hope. Though I was selected in TCS in campus drive, but only 15% were selected. And it was the only mass recruitment. Allover we had around 30% placement and in later years it has gone downward more.

The college with a lot of stories and it is also the first private diploma college in West Bengal.

Placements: Placements were quite good as most of my classmates and seniors are placed in very well established organisations. They always gave a second chance to get another job, if you don't want to do the job, you can attend a lot of interviews, and you can choose among them.

SMIT - True story of a final year student.

Placements: Most of the companies are related to software and sales. Very few core companies are coming for the placements. The placements are done along with other techno India colleges, as our college is lower on the list of techno India groups. So, our chance to click any placements gets lesser.

You can join this college if you want to feel the engineering college.

Placements: The placements were not that good. Around 50 students got into TCS, 5 to 6 in L&T Infotech and 1 or 2 in some other company, 1 in Johnson control (from CSE). The placements overall in Kolkata were very bad Our college did not do that great, but I would say it was still okay, the people who deserved got a job.

You can start your life in SMIT, Guptipara.

Placements: All the placements are organized by Techno India group, For the departments like CSE, IT, ECE. You will get a fair chance to join TCS and all other leading MNCs. For core engineering streams, you have to struggle because of present West Bengal core industrialisation.
