I am happy with my decision to join college as it is better than my expectations.

Placements: The college is overall good for me. Students in our batch are less than 15. We usually get offers for internships from the 3rd year. I am currently in my 2nd year, I can't say anything about placements. After completing B.Sc. in mathematics, students get many options in different sectors like business, banking, etc.

Life at Smit - an experience.

Placements: Placements at SMIT are quite good, with 80% of students getting placed. The highest package offered was 90 LPA, the lowest was 5 LPA, and the average package was 10 LPA. Many well-known companies visit the campus for placements, including Amazon, TCS, Myntra, Tata, Ola, and Byju's. Almost everyone gets an internship, and top roles offered include front-end developer and editor.

Total experience and review by an ex student.

Placements: The Computer Science branch in our college has the highest placement rate compared to other branches. The placement for Computer Science is excellent, while civil, mechanical, and electrical branches have relatively poor placement. However, many teaching companies also come for placement in the CS branch. CS students have the highest placement rate in the college, standing at 97%.

This college, in general, is a good college.

Placements: SMIT doesn't have placements for civil engineering at all. Not even a single batchmate of mine got placement. It does have a good placement percentage for computer engineering students as the placement percentage is 96%. Other departments have a good placement rate too.

The college is famous for its structure, but not for education.

Placements: Our college just provides courses, and they do not provide any kind of project. I assure you that it just uses the course fee. Any top-ranking companies didn't visit here, and only our college provide us with call centre jobs. Any kind of job role is not offered.

Average college or to be precise below average college

Placements: 40% of them were placed. 3-10 Lacs is the window of package. AMAZON was the best company which came to my college and offered a package of around 10 Lacs. 30% of them were given the chance for internship. Software developer is the most designated position which were being offered.

The good review and the bad review.

Placements: Computer Science and Engineering branch has really good placement with companies like Microsoft, Shell, Bosch, Dell to name a few. In our 2015 batch more than 90% of the eligible students got placed. The package offered ranged from 10.5 Lacs to 3 lakhper annum. Mass recruiters played a important part in the placement drive with an average package of 3.5 Lacs per annum.

The college should improve in terms of placements.

Placements: The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Shell, Microsoft, Dell, etc., are the top recruiting companies. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Approximately 180 students got placed hence in terms of placement percentage, and it is a good college. But, there are other better colleges with the same fee structure.

The college gives great memories in spite of some of the difficulties.

Placements: Around 85-90% of students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered ranges from 8-9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges from 1.5-2 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Shell, TCS, Wipro, Dell, and Infosys, etc., visited the campus. Teaching faculty members are good and very helpful.

Placements: Almost 50-60% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was around Rs. 35,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered was around Rs. 15,000 per month. Companies like TCS, Wipro, LT Elevators, Tech Mahindra and Cognizant visited our campus. I have no idea about the roles offered. In our course, the salary package offered was 2-4 LPA. Almost 20% of the students got an internship in Tech Mahindra and Cognizant.

The college provides good faculty members, infrastructure, and facilities but poor placements.

Placements: Placements in the college are not that good. They have promised that they will provide 100% placements but failed to provide placements to even 50% of the students. The average salary package offered for the students of other branches except civil and mechanical departments is 2 LPA to 5 LPA. The placement percentage for civil and mechanical departments is only around 5%.

The college is not at all recommended for civil and mechanical branches.

Placements: Placements are not good for civil and mechanical branches. There were no placements for the mechanical branch last year, and only 5-10% of the students were placed from the civil branch. However, placements are good for CSE branch, and a majority of students were placed from the previous batch. Other than CSE, students of the ECE branch are also offered decent placement opportunities.

Overall Good placement and facilities.

Placements: Its almost 100% placement for our batch and well as our batch. The highest package was I guess 8.5, and avg salary offered were 3.2 Lacs/year. And many more were there. 20-30% got internship. Yes there is a placement cell which is quite useful. Tcs, wipro, capegemeni, eriscion, tech mahindra and many more.

SMIT is just an average college.

Placements: Our placement for senior batches are not going as expected, and they are facing some issues in it. The companies coming for the placements are reducing drastically, but a certain uprising in percentage placement is expected in the next year as the college is working on some of its policies.

Overall, the college is good for a nice livelihood but is not so good as per academic performance.

Placements: The placements are not good right now. They need more companies to come and hire. Companies are not selecting students because they come for CSE and don't take any other departments. So more core companies are needed for other departments. Mechanical and electrical companies are needed to the students.

The college is focusing on academics not on personality development of students.

Placements: Being honest, the placements offered were not good in this college. When I was in the 2nd year, TCS which is the mass recruiter company cancelled and blacklisted the college for next five years. As a result, other company also started hesitating for the campus drive. They are showing the placement of 96-97%, but in reality, it is 4 %. This year one of my friends got placement in Microsoft with the package of 22 lacs per annum which was held off-campus, but the college has taken the credit of it ...

This college is for your study.

Placements: The placements are good for EEE students. About, 7-8 lakhs per annum is an average package given to the students. The management is not that good so that a few companies are visited this college. But for a decent amount and good infrastructure you can prefer this institution.

Not satisfied with my college due to faculty and average placements. Only good thing is mess food.

Placements: The placements offered are pretty average in this college. Only a few companies visit like TCS, Capgemini, Wells Fargo and maximum five companies. The placement percentage is around 60 to 70% which is pretty average. The amount they are charging for B.tech course is roughly around 12 lacs per anum which are high concerning to placements. So I will not recommend it. I myself was not placed that year.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the placement scenario of the current year.

Placements: The placements were quite good for the senior batches but it has been on a constant decline in the past few years and for my batch, it wasn't up to the expectations. Around 30% students were placed during the current year. The average salary is around 3.3 lakhs per annum.
