Satisfied with the college because of the faculty members, good placements till 2023.
Placements: Till 2023, our college had a very good placement opportunity. Almost 90-100% of placement was ensured. EY, Oracle, Tata Elxsi, and all come to our college for recruiting. I’m not well aware of the highest package and the top role given. Our college has a placement cell that helps us to get placed.
Infrastructure: For Computer Science, there are many labs that have a lot of computers. We have a separate block called CCF for the labs. The lab staff is also very helpful. Internet connections are also given if needed. The library is also big and has a lot of books needed for the students to refer to. College doesn’t have its own hostel facility.
Faculty: Unlike other government colleges, our college staff always takes classes and completes the portion in class itself. The teachers are very well-qualified and experienced, and they teach us very much. The exam schedule is very tight as it is under KTU. Each semester can’t be defined as good or bad; it all depends on how the student tries their best to study.
Other: I really wanted to study more on computers and coding, and this course helped me very much. Our course could have been much more updated. That’s the only drawback I see in our course.

The placement cell is active from the first semester, and placements are good each year.
Placements: 97 percent of students are placed in my college. The highest salary package is 10 Lacs, and the lowest is 3 Lacs. The average is 4-5 Lacs. Mu-Sigma, Tata Elxsi, Sada India, TCS, Zifo, etc., are the top recruiting companies. 20% of students got internships through the college, and many others are doing internships at TCS, Wipro, Keltron, etc.
Infrastructure: First of all, there is no college hostel, and the college is in a small area. College facilities are good, and a new block was built last year. Each floor has a seminar hall with air conditioning. Each floor has 3-4 Wi-Fi units, and classrooms are quite spacious. The library is good too. There is a canteen and also a mini canteen.
Faculty: The teachers are good and knowledgeable in their subjects. Their notes are good, and the textbooks written by them are good. The teaching quality is nice. The failure rate in the sem exams is low. We are studying the 2024 scheme, which is much better than the old ones, mostly focused on IT industries.
Other: Our college is famous for its events, fests, and programs. There are many clubs here for studying and developing skills. The campus is in a small area, so we are very connected to the seniors, and that helps us a lot. Extracurricular activities are ongoing.

SCTCE College Life In Nutshell.
Placements: Placements are rather comparatively less in the recent trend as companies are recruiting only highly skilled students, not those with basic academic knowledge who are rejected. Mostly, companies coming to the campus are on a downfall. The trend of the placements is in a downgrade.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good in terms of labs and availability. College hostel facility is not available. Sports facilities in our college are very limited, and no proper ground facility is available even though sports activities as well as students are active in those fields at the university and college level.
Faculty: Faculty members are trained and good in both academic and interactive areas, with good faculty members in CSE depth. The course curriculum of the 2019 scheme is not relevant to the current industry era. The semester length of the university is short, and hence the exams are hectic. Thus, we as students feel the stress of the exams.
Other: The college campus life is really good in terms of programs and student-to-student interactions. The smaller size helped in interacting with other department students and in creating a great network and college life.

Not the worst place to be for a B.Tech graduation.
Placements: One of the best colleges in tvm for placements, after CET and Barton Hill. Usually visited by a variety of companies including Infosys, UST global, Cognizant, TCS, and Tata Elxsi among many others. Packages range from 4.3LPA to 9LPA. The roles offered are usually Developed, Technology Engineer, Associate Software/Product Engineer, Specials Programmer, and more. Few of my classmates got internships at Visteon and will be hired full-time once graduated. The placement percentage is above average compared to other aided or self-financing colleges. The college gives opportunities for placements, but acquiring the offer is ultimately in our hands.
Infrastructure: The biggest downside to this college is the lack of campus area. There is one main academic block with all the B.Teach classes, a mechanical / automobile workshop, a three-storey building for the canteen and spacious labs, a biotechnology lab building, and an embedded systems lab building. There are 5 well-equipped labs for computer Science alone. Food provided in the canteen is of reasonable rates and decent quality. There is also a mini-canteen near the academic block for snacks and refreshment. The 4 storey academic block holds all classrooms for the B.Teach departments. There is no hostel inside the campus. Sports are limited to a badminton court, an indoor cricket pitch, and basketball court. Students often play football in the front yard of the college.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and is very dedicated to their work. The teachers, irrespective of their behaviour, are focused on providing proper classes, strive to cover all the portions even when time is limited, and push the class to achieve a high pass percentage. The curriculum is that of KTU, and covers the basic fundamentals of computer Science. If one expect placements, he/she must prepare outside of the syllabus for improving their coding skills on various languages, and stay up to date with the latest technologies to be industry ready. The college however provides ADEPT training for aptitude tests and for facing interviews. The semester exams are usually a breeze for the majority of students, and the pass percentage is close to 95 and above mostly.
Other: Although the campus is quite confined, the highlight of this college must be the very casual and relaxing campus life, which you may not be able to get in other B.Teach colleges. There is an active students union selected by the students that helps the students with their needs and conduct various events throughout the year. The college conducts one of trivandrum's the biggest entertainment events every year by the name of Cult A Way at Kanakakkunnu Palace Grounds. There are many other events frequently taking place throughout the year within the campus to keep the students active and refreshes while also being able to showcase their extracurricular skills. Things to improve in this course must be to have an updated syllabus, provide more experience useful for the industry and provide job oriented training and education, as this is a professional course afterall.

The college vibe is so good. The fests and programs conducted are really fun.
Placements: Since placements are still going on in our college now, only 4 out of 71 students have been placed. Other students are undergoing the placement selection process currently. The highest package offered was 9 LPA by Infosys Specialist Programmer Selection and the lowest salary offered was 3.75 LPA by InApp. The average salary range is 3.5–4 LPA. The top recruiters are SOTI, Cognizant, Visteon, UST, TCS, Mitsogo, Infosys, and InApp. Top roles offered are software developer and DevOps.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in our college are average to above average. Labs are maintained well. The campus is small compared to others. Our college does not have hostel facilities of their own but has hostels outside that are under their management. The quality of food in the canteen is above average and the people are really nice. There is a mini canteen and a main canteen here. More sports facilities are implemented in our college every year.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified but some of them do not know how to teach the students. Teachers are very helpful. The course curriculum needs to have major changes in the 2019 KTU scheme. The present 2024 KTU scheme is better and more relevant compared to the previous syllabus. The semester exams are in the medium difficulty level.

Small college but considerably good record of placement.
Placements: College is known for its placements, even though the college campus is small. I am still a student, but I know seniors who have got placements. There are many companies recruiting; among them are Tata, Tata Elxsi, Cognizant, etc. Students are also offered jobs through other events that the students participate in, like the automotive events.
Infrastructure: College lacks many facilities. There is no campus Wi-Fi till now but they are planning to. The college campus is very small considering other big institutions. College doesn't offer any hostel facilities, due to lack of space probably. There is a college library, very good to study.
Faculty: The faculty members are very good. All teachers are capable and experienced to answer any doubt of the students. The course curriculum is okay. The practical workshops and labs make it more effective and usable in real life. Like mechanical workshop, Chemistry lab, CAD lab, etc.
Other: College has a very good cultural fest called Cultaway, which is conducted once every year by the students' union and college. College and students are very proud of Cultaway. College is situated very near to Trivandrum town, so connectivity is good.
