All about Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur College (DU).
Placements: Internship: There are more opportunities for internships for the commerce and science streams. However, for the B.A. program or honours stream, it is difficult to find, but there are some. Companies like Wipro, Tisco, POD, etc., require payment from us to provide internships. The college does not provide any internships. Package: INR 6 LPA (according to the stats provided on the college website).
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average. Some washrooms are not in good condition, there is no medical room, and water purifiers are not in good condition. However, the college has a well-established library, study room, and good Wi-Fi. Canteen food is average. The campus provides nice sports and games facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good, and the teachers are very supportive. The faculty is amazing and well-qualified. The course is quite intriguing, especially for students who are preparing to pursue government exams. The exams are quite easy, and students can pass easily by just preparing for the last five years' PYQs.
Other: The course was quite intriguing, and students like me who are preparing for government exams think this course is going to help a lot. The college organizes various events and fests. The most famous annual event is Lashkara. Club: The campus societies and clubs are quite engaging and active, with every society holding its own event twice a semester.

North campus cum unknown College .
Placements: The placement records of the college are above average or average. Every year, 6/10 students get placements and others opt to join the post-graduation. The average package is nearly 400,000. The top recruits are DE SHAW & Co., EY, Deloitte, PwC, Byjus, KPMG, IBM, RSM USI, and many more. Placement records of B.Com (Hons.), Economics Hons., and B.Com programs are comparatively higher. Various internships are offered by the Placement Cell of the College.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are above average in terms of access to the Library and books but average in terms of classrooms and infrastructural facilities. The principal got changed in 2023 end and afterwards, there's no development in the college's infrastructure. ACs are not working in some classes. Talking about the food quality, it's above average.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified with doctorates and are highly trusted, and concerned. The teachers do possess great knowledge about their subjects. The course curriculum is totally relevant to today's era. Teaching about the new trends in the industry makes us know more about real life. The semester exams are of moderate level. To pass the exams you need to secure 40% of the total marks.
Other: It was my dream to get into DU's North campus and I joined this college and got admitted in B.Com (Hons.). Talking or having debate sessions over new industrial trends can make the study more relevant. Therefore, to experience that, you can join the college society. Every week there's an event in the college. The main fest is LASHKARA. Famous singers - DILJIT DOSANJH, KARAN AUJLA, JORDAN SANDHU have performed in the college's fest.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty. Bad infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Around 200 students got placed in the college placement grounds. The placement cell of our college is ignited and in reality is not functioning properly as students placed are a mere fraction of the total students and negligible in comparison to top colleges like SRCC, Hindu, etc. Most placements are for commerce background students. The highest salary package offered is 23.05 LPA. Companies offered jobs include Brain and Company, McKinsey and Company, NAMO, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is in very bad condition. There is no one to take care of the heritage-holding legacy institute of the country. In computer labs, we have computers of the holder generation with outdated windows. Computers are a part of academic philanthropy by IIT Bombay and since then no further progress has been made in that field. Our college has 3 Wi-Fi connections. Their range is very poor and so poor is the speed. Classrooms, the library, and all rooms except for labs are fully air-conditioned.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified and very knowledgeable. They try to help students in every possible way. They all have completed their Ph.D. and have a huge field experience. There is one Rigzing Kang mam. She is the best biochemistry teacher in India. Semester exams are easy to moderate. You can get very good marks on filling sheets with great points and diagrams. The course structure is research-oriented. In the college, there is no such infrastructure, and that creates the burden of written learning on students.

Really good infrastructure and teaching facility but requires more placement records.
Placements: Around 10-20% of students are placed in college. the highest package was around 15 LPA. The lowest package is 1.5 LPA and the average is 3-4 LPA. EY, W&W, BCG, etc. are the top recruiters. 1-2 students got internships. Some of the top roles in our course are data analyst, public policy, and research analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there with a good speed. Some classrooms have working ACs. Benches are of old style. All labs are three and the library is also present and it is one of the best in North Campus. Only the girls hostel is an AI in our college. The food of the canteen is average but the rates are good. Medical facilities are fewer in our college and it is known to be one of the best sports colleges.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are qualified and very knowledgeable. Their teaching is nice except for a few of them. I don't think that course curriculum is relevant in real life and the case study given in reading material is of the USA rather than of India. I does not help students to get ready for industry level. Exams are not that much difficult and the pass percentage is 35 percent.

I am very satisfied with the college.
Placements: 60 percent of students were placed in my course. The lowest package was 7 lakhs, and the highest was 20 lakhs. The top recruiters were Amazon, Flipkart, Apple, etc. In different companies, they got placement at very honorable posts. They got the best offer and placement in their companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure were awesome, with the best Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library, and everything was very clean. The professor's qualifications and knowledge were the best. The quality of facilities in the hostel is very good, and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen was fresh. The medical facilities and first aid box were available.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching was best. The course curriculum was relevant. It makes students perfect for their careers and futures. The exams were according to their syllabus; it was difficult or easy according to student's learning or self-study.
Other: I choose this course with my interest and easy to learning for me. The best things about my course were the best teacher, the syllabus for my future, and learning. The events, fests, and crowd were awesome.

The faculty is pretty good, almost dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: Around 20% students got placed last year in off campus placements other opt for higher studies. The average package offered was around 4 LPA according to our professors. We have a placement cell named Ignite which provides internships. The internships are mainly of marketing and HR so much CS students do not show interest.
Infrastructure: The Library is pretty good and there is lot of space for studying. The Wi-Fi is also available in the college campus. The classrooms I would rate below average because In classrooms there is no AC and around 90% do not have projector. Also the CS lab is not good there are old systems. So basically the infrastructure is below average. The hostel is pretty good. But at present only girls hostel is open.
Faculty: The faculty of CS is pretty good. Our professors are very knowledgeable. They have good experience in teaching. The problem lies with the curriculum I mean the curriculum focus much on theory than practical. If you want to do web development, app development, data analysis you have to gain these skills on your own. The curriculum do not provide much skills needed in industry. The semester exams are pretty easy you can pass just studying 2 day before the exam. The passing percentage is around 95%. .
Other: I have choose this course because When I was in class 12th I developed interset in coding so I thought that I can make career in this field. If DU include more practical component in this course it would be pretty good. There are plenty of societies in out college. Around every week there is some event or competition. The fest of the khalsa college is one of the biggest fest in DU. The connectivity is also good the vishwavidyalya and GTB Nagar metro station is at walking distance. The college has provided scholarships for student with not very good financial condition. Also the DU provide plenty of scholarships.
