I was highly satisfied with academics but placements were disappointing.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. It is not up to the mark for non-circuit branch students. Around 45% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered for the IP branch was 5.5 LPA. The lowest salary offered was around Rs. 15,000 per month. Companies like Mercedes Benz, Automotive Axles, Reckitt Benckiser, JK Tyres, etc., visited our campus during our period. Around 20% of the students were provided internships and project works which were useful, and they also offered a decent stip...

I am partially satisfied with good placements.

Placements: The college provides good placement opportunities for mechanical engineering students. Almost 15-16 companies visited our college to recruit mechanical engineers for core profiles. Some companies like Mercedes Benz, Infosys, Qualcomm, Intel, BEL, Microsoft, Microchip, etc., visited our college for placements. The starting salary package offered was 5.5 LPA, and it goes up to 12 LPA.

Review of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE Mysore).

Placements: Very few core companies visit the campus for placements. The placement percentage is only 60%. Bosch, Benz, Applied Materials, T-Connectivity, etc., are some of the good companies that come for mechanical engineering students. On average, the package offered by the companies is 3.5 LPA.

I'm satisfied with my experience at SJCE.

Placements: Placements in the college were impressive. Everyone here manages to get a job during their final year. I am an average student who had just above 8 CGPA, and I managed to get a very well paying job easily. The placement officer is very talented and has very good connections with the industry. Most of the companies visit for the circuit branches (computer science, information science, electronics and communications). Some companies like Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, Oracle, Walmart and Intuit visit he...

Excel both in academics and extra curricular activities.

Placements: Very good placements with several tiers and packages. Many core companies for EC recruit students every year. There are many internships oriented placements for many departments. Companies like Bosch, Cisco, Infosys, Accenture, Schneider come every year.

Placement during 2014 was really good, but not all faculty members are up to the mark.

Placements: Placement for EC and CS departments is really good. More than 90% of the students who appear for the placements, get placed. Overall 60-70% of the students get placed every year. I was placed in AirWatch Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. in my final year. Placement procedure is continuous thought the year. Placement Cell of the college is good. Un our batch, the highest package was around 25 Lacs CTC. The lowest was around 2.5 Lacs CTC annual. Companies like Cisco, VMWare, Google, TCS, Infosys, Linke...

Really good infrastructure. Placements are 100% assured for EC and CS students.

Placements: The placements were 100%. The highest package was 12 lacs per annum. The lowest package was 3 lacs per annum. More than 100 companies visited, and some of them were Thought Works, Good Through, Cognizant, Visa, HP, AllGo Embedded, Walmart, Micro Focus, Musigma, TCS, Accenture, etc. 90% of them got jobs, and the remaining 10% got internships. There is a placement cell.

A good college with good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are not good. It depends on the students' performance at the time of interview. There is no 100% placement. In my batch, out of 120 students, only 30 students got selected. The minimum package will be 2 LPA, and the maximum is 3.5 LPA. The fee structure is high compared to other colleges in Mysuru.

Placements: Placements for CSE and ISE is good. Around 90% of the students from these branches get placed. The highest package offered for the year 2016-17 was Adobe of 22 LPA. Intuit, Adobe, Microsoft, Cisco, national instruments are some of the big companies that visit our college.

An average college but I am unsatisfied with teaching faculty.

Placements: Hello there, Placements and internships starts in the third year of your engineering course. Let me tell you first that I'm from Electrical and Electronics Engineering department. If you are prepared enough you will get internships along with job in few companies which visit the campus in the 3rd year of BE course. If you are from electrical and electronics branch you are allowed write tests to join IT companies internships. E. g. Deloitte, Ebox. Also few companies related to your branch also. E...

Very good infrastructure is there and it is a great platform for learners.

Placements: The placements are good for circuit branches like E&C, CS, IS, and IT. The placements are very less for non-circuit branches, but 3 to 4 mass companies visit every year to recruit around 400 students. Overall, the placements are good for those who study in SJCE. The highest package offered was 26 LPA.

Very satisfied with the knowledge, but not satisfied with the placements.

Placements: The placements in the college were good, but if a student doesn't have average or if he/she doesn't meet the eligibility criteria of the company, the college will not allow attending the interview. The students who have less than 60% will never get placed in our college. HRD department of the college is good only for the students who have 60+ percentage.

Campus is very green, but not friendly in all the way.

Placements: I got only one chance in the placements but failed. For a non-core branch, the opportunities are less. TCS, Accenture and Infosys these three companies will help the students to get a job for the non-core branches. Only 3 or 4 students will get the core company opportunities. Overall, I am unhappy with the placement cell.

Placements: SJCE is predominantly known for its placements. Almost 100 companies visit the campus every year, and around 80% of the students get placed in the circuit branches, and about 60% students get placed in non-circuit branches. There is very good mass recruitment in this college. The highest package was about 26 LPA and least is 3 LPA in the college placements. The average salary offered may be 4-5 LPA. Overall, the placements are excellent.

Placements: The placements are good for the circuit branches. The software-based companies visit the campus for the recruitment. The other branch students do get some companies, and also they get hired by the mass recruiters. There is almost 90% placements for CS, IS, and EC. The companies like HP, Microsoft, Microfocus, Benz, etc., visit the campus.

Placements: The placements are getting surprisingly better every year at SJCE for IP. We get both mechanical companies like Mercedes-Benz and management based companies like Schneider electric supply chain, along with mass recruiting companies like Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc., with good salary packages.

Placements: Our seniors got good placements, and about 99% of them got placements for some core companies and other private companies. They also got good opportunities to select from different companies that offered good packages. The average year package was Rs. 8 lakhs, and the highest salary was about Rs. 13 lakhs.

Placements: The college offers 100% placement for each and every branch of the college. But most of them get recruited in mass companies. The ratio of mass to core company is 3:2. The salary for the branch varies from 1 to 8.5 lakhs per annum. The highest package was offered by Applied Materials in the previous year. Companies like Bosch, Mercedes, etc. also visit the campus. Placements: The placement is really good in SJCE. Computer science students do get a very high package. In our batch, til now the highest package offered is 26 lacs. Intuit offered this package. But there is downside also. Not everyone gets 26 lacs as a package. Some students are not placed till now and those who all are placed haven't got such a high package.
