It is a nice college which focuses on the overall growth with an aim of making a great professional.
Placements: Placement varies from year to year depending on the number of companies coming to the campus, the strength of the batch, and the profile of the students etc. But almost more than 90% get placed through the campus placement. Average salary package lies anywhere between 4 LPA to 5 LPA. It may go higher depending on the capability of the students, their knowledge and work experience. Various companies from the field of public relations, and media planning and advertisement come for the placement process.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is all good. Whether it is a classroom, computer lab, library, mess, cafeteria or hostel, the arrangements are well done and comfortable for the students. The life at Symbiosis School of Media Communication, Bangalore.
Placements: For PR, particularly, the top Indian agencies are coming for both placements and internships. The highest salary package so far for the senior batch is 8-8.5 LPA, and being in the media industry, it's decent. But the average for the same is low, which is 4-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is proper and good. The well-designed classrooms, fully equipped information technology lab and media lab are good. The auditoriums with Bose and JBL surround the sounds. Basketball court, badminton court, table tennis, and a lot more are on the campus. The hostel is decent, neat, and clean.
Faculty: The faculty members over here are good. Some great guest faculty members regularly come for the classes, directly from the media background, and the industry specialists as well. Some keynote speakers also visit the college. The course structure is a good mix of both theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. The aim is to make the student's field ready.
Other: The various events take place in a year on the campus. The college starts with the induction programme in June, Reminiscence in September, Origins Cup in December, and CQ in January/February.

The college is decent and good for PR. It is average for MM.
Placements: The placements are good for PR. Media management is getting better, no comments on the AD. Big companies come for placements, the package they offer isn't that great, but it will grow hopefully. Summer internships are good, mostly in digital front for two months, faculty aren't that good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is small but decent enough. There are 4 to 5 classrooms, one main Audi, and one generic are present. The library is good, all types of books are available. A new media lab is coming up so it will be really great and it will help a lot for the media management people. Fests are nice too. Symphoria and OriginsCup are the events conducted for the cultural event and sports event.
Faculty: Some faculty are good; some aren't that great. Visiting faculty are nice. The course curriculum is nice, and we'll draft it. A 360-degree view of the whole industry will be provided. The curriculum is a good; it is a mix of this niche MBA and common traditional MBA.

If you want to study media, do it in your bachelors and join a good media agency, get some exposure.
Placements: The placements are worse than the normal engineering colleges. They won't get any good placements, and the package is too less for any MBA graduate. After spending more than Rs. 10 L you will have to find a job for yourself. It is too worst. Not even 50% students got placed. Even if they are placed, they accepted the lowest packages ever for an MBA student.
Infrastructure: It does not have a great building, and only three classrooms are provided for the entire batch which is sufficient. Not a great canteen. Even the sports ground is too small. The Wi-Fi will never work properly. The medical facilities are only so-so. We always had to struggle for hot water, the lift and the iron box.
Faculty: The external faculty that they used to get are worth listening. The internal faculty is so-so. The assignments are real time, but the rules of the group work will not earn anything. No practical experience on the subjects that need the practical exposure. We attend the events just to fulfil the curriculum

Review of SSMC Bangalore - Symbiosis School of Media & Communication.
Placements: Placements in our college are fine, considering the bad state of advertising agencies. However, PR agencies were good, and the salary package they offered was also excellent. Mostly locations of the placements were Bangalore or Mumbai. Other places were also offered based on their current status.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was excellent. The mess was not according to Pune standards, but hostel food wise it was good enough. Hostel facility was provided outside the campus within the close radius to college, so shuttle service was available. The library on the campus was also good.
Faculty: The course curriculum was excellent and frequently reviewed. Referring to the curriculum is always encouraged. PR faculty members were excellent and had great industry experience and were mostly experts in what they teach. In house faculty members are manageable.
