B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2028

A good life at Hindustan.
Placements: The percentage of student placement is average. The lowest package is around 3 LPA, the average is 5-6 LPA, and the highest is 10 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Amazon, Decathlon, Aegis+, The Gateway, CADD Centre, ITC Hotels, IDBI Federal Audit, Virtusa, and HCL, among others. 78 percent of students were placed in 2018.
Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi facility, but that is not for everyone. Yes, the labs are somehow good, classrooms are okay, and the library is awesome (which is the best place in our college). The hostel food facilities are average (in taste), but the canteen food is good and of good quality. Yes, there are medical facilities, sports, and games.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and also they are friendly (not all teachers). The teaching quality is good. Yes, the curriculum is relevant; somehow it makes students industry-ready. The semesters are not difficult in our college, and it is easy to clear.

BCA Industry Integrated (HTC Global) Specialization in Cyber Security - Batch of 2025

Really good infrastructure, eco friendly campus, and world class facilities are provided.
Placements: According to the 2024 passout batch, 15 out of 30 students were placed in various interviews from our department. Top recruiting companies of our course would be HTC Global Services, HCL, Cognizant, etc. The lowest package would be 6 LPA, and the highest would be 10 LPA. In the BCA integrated course, all students enrolled in the course would be given a 1-year internship in HTC Global Services. Top roles offered in our course would be in the security field, including SOC analyst, network security expert, etc.
Infrastructure: The college campus is fully eco-friendly with fully equipped labs and facilities like a fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus, separate hostels for boys and girls, an international football ground maintained by Chennaiyin FC, a basketball court, and an indoor badminton court and indoor gym. Air-conditioned labs are separate for all departments. Well infrastructure library is there.
Faculty: Teaching staff are highly qualified as Dr. holders and professors with deep knowledge in their particular departments. The medium of teaching is English and also in the regional language for students who need help. The curriculum will be published before every academic year, and it is to be followed for the whole schedule. Semesters are not really difficult but easy to grasp and understand. There are 3 exams per semester, the first 2 being CIA or internals and the end semester examination. The pass percentage is 33 percent for each subject.
Other: The course was close because it provides great exposure to the cybersecurity field by providing in-hand experience in the last year through an integrated internship with HTC. Events, celebrations, and festivals in college are very colorful and vibrant, including all spheres of students and entertaining to the core.

The worst South Indian college to take admission in.
Placements: Around 20% of students got placed with an average salary package of 2 LPA - 3 LPA. The placement team is very bad. They don't bring any good core companies. They don't provide any placement training. It is the worst. Companies offer internships and provide contact-based roles. There is nothing permanent. Core students are offered IT sector jobs.
Infrastructure: Labs were pretty good, but no such experienced faculty to teach and use the tools to educate.
Faculty: Teaching staff members were the worst. They are biased toward the South Indian language. They don't teach in English. They ask us to learn Tamil or Telegu but in our college, we are supposed to learn our native language or our course of study. They used to talk in their native language. Teachers just provide notes and don't explain anything. Before exams, they provide some sets of questions and ask to prepare them. Questions will come from this.
Other: Fests were pathetic only South Indian stars visited and their songs are played in our college. There is much racism for North Indian students.

B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering - Batch of 2027

I am really happy about the freedom. And they are not conducting culturals and events properly.
Placements: The college claims that the placement percentage is above 90, but I am not sure about it. I think 70 to 75 percent of students got placement. The highest package is 24 LPA and the lowest is 4.5 LPA. Hindustan gives full freedom, and if you fail the examination, there is a supplementary exam.
Infrastructure: Good, but some classes are not maintained properly. And there are some blocks which are so old. For example, the aeronautical block is the oldest block. There are a lot of patchwork areas in that. College Infrastructure: A very good infrastructure, with well-maintained labs, classrooms, and library.
Faculty: Teaching is quite good, Hindustan recruits highly experienced staff and professors. And they will take students twice a year to visit industries. Being an undergrad in B.Tech Aerospace from Hindustan University, firstly, working in the Aerospace Industry is different from studying Aerospace Engineering. If your brother is interested in working and contributing to the Aerospace Industry, it is better he choose a more wider core field like ECE or Mech. This is because, many manufacturing and design companies prefer recruiting Mech. Undergraduates. In case of working for satellites and space communication, there is nothing better than ECE.
Other: Hindustan is basically good for aerospace and aeronautical courses. There are lots of labs and things available related to aerospace engineering.

Absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: Our course had a 90% placement rate, with the highest package being 10 Lacs per annum, the lowest being 4 Lacs per annum, and the average package being 6 Lacs per annum. In addition, 90% of students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the classrooms and labs are well-equipped. The library is good, and there are thousands of books. There are six canteens in the university.
Faculty: The faculty are very helpful and qualified teachers. The teaching quality is very nice. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are easy to write, although some subjects like mathematics, physics, and chemistry are more difficult.
Other: I chose this course because I have a passion for aeronautical engineering. Hindustan University is one of the best aeronautical universities in India.

Overall, the college is okay, but the infrastructure is bad. No one takes care of the students.
Placements: The placements are not good and the packages are also poor. No good companies visit for hiring, they need to tie up with more companies. The highest package offered is very low and the lowest package is obviously very low. Overall, the placements are not good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good, it’s just okay. It is an old college which was established in 1985 and now the infrastructure in some of the blocks is not good, it needs to some changes and repairs. Overall, the infrastructure of college is fine but some blocks need changes.
Faculty: The one good thing in this college is it's faculty. They are very talented and have a lot of experience. Especially the aeronautical faculty is very good compared to the other departments of our college.
Other: They need to change the infrastructure and take care of the students.
