Satisfied with the college, but it is not a good place for self-learners.
Placements: St Francis has a placement cell. However, I never got a chance to acquire a job on my own. As far as I know, my friends got jobs in companies like Reuters, Deloitte, Genpact, etc. Regarding the interviews, we always have walk-in interviews, in which everyone has to pass written exam first and then face the HR interview. I find it is stressful for freshers. As the interview takes place on the college premises, it is comfortable. I had never met a student who got an internship at St Francis College. I never ask the students, this type of questions.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs are outdated. If you want to research something, there is no regular access to computers as there is no dedicated internet classroom which could be very useful as most of the students doesn't own a computer. Some rooms are dark and depressing, except the rooms in PG wing, which gets lots of Sunlight. It has acquired new chairs and tables at that time. There are neither Wi-Fi facilities nor medical facilities like nurse or pharmacy in the college premises. If you get hurt, the nuns will apply some plant syrup which helps in blood clotting. The library seems to be the strongest point of our college. It is the best place to research or to study with friends or to read and relax. Sports were limited to softball, basketball, table tennis and volleyball. I enjoyed games like carroms and chess. The quality of food is not that good, but the taste is amazing. They serve mostly junk food, except a few veg sandwiches. The canteen is always noisy and overcrowded. You must be lucky to find a free table. I think, there were only 5 or 6 tables in the canteen. The college doesn't provide hostel facilities. Bathrooms were not always clean, and not inviting. Sadly, some girls used to smoke there. Parking facility was well-organised at that time. Lots of greenery can be seen on the campus premises. We shall thank nuns for their garden cultivation skills. I haven't faced any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: As every human is different, we can expect the quality of teachers, or I should say their methods are expected to vary from one to another. During my year, I have met many helpful and optimistic teachers, but some of them were demotivating and made you feel small. However, no matter what, they would always answer your questions. Teaching methods were mostly on taking notes that are given by teachers. It was expected to do further research if someone wanted to get better marks. The student to faculty ratio was 60:1 for French and 30:1 for economics. The course curriculum was given at the beginning of every semester, and I believe it was well-designed.
Other: St Francis College is not a quiet place as they always conduct something on the campus like sales, dance, trips. Take your pick. You cannot say it is boring.

Great infrastructure in St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad.
Placements: I applied for Post-Graduation so did not sit for the placements. But I understand that the placements were good. 100% of the students who applied were placed. Deloitte, Google and Genpact were some of the companies which came to the campus. St. Francis College did not offer internships directly but occasionally arranged events where companies came and discussed about the internships available with their organizations. Any internship opportunity was also mentioned clearly. There is a placement cell in the college which is quite useful and provides the necessary help to the students.
Infrastructure: While Wi-fi was unavailable, the college was equipped with a very good computer lab which could be used at any given point of time. The classrooms were also good. The canteen provided various snacks which were popular with the students. The sports room is well-equipped for students who want to play table-tennis or carrom or basketball. The library has a completely computerized database and has many reference books as well as books of various genres and magazines. I found the overall infrastructure to be very good.
Faculty: The teachers were well qualified and the curriculum was well planned. The board was mainly used and on occasion power point presentations were also used. The student to faculty ratio varied from 20-1 to 35-1 depending on the subject as some subjects were common for many students. The public administration students got the opportunity to visit the State Police Academy.
Other: During my time, there were several fests- one for every stream in the college. These were popular with the students of these colleges in the city and drew crowds. The college has many hangout spots for students to sit back and relax. The college also has various clubs which conduct guest lectures and events as well as field visits.
