Review of St. Joseph’s University through Ritika's point of view.
Placements: Placement opportunities and salary packages offered are average from what I got to know from seniors. As I’m fresher, I do not have much idea about placements, but I’m gaining knowledge about it. I would like to provide a review again next year.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like laboratories and spacious classrooms. However, for Wi-Fi, we need a password and ID, which is provided by the university, but it doesn't work around campus, except in the library. Canteen food is average. Sports availability is huge on campus.
Faculty: I informed our chemistry teacher that I was poor in chemistry subject. They encouraged me and still helped me to learn the subject. Teachers are very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exam is average, but sometimes it is difficult. No questions are repeated in exams.
Other: I chose this course as I wanted to explore more about tiny organism. The only thing I wish could be improved is that they should show videos related to PPTs. The scholarship opportunities are often shared in the group. Fest is well-organized, but one of the fests was not well-organized this year. Organizing team was rude but on average days crowd of our college is quite good. Campus is not too big and not too small. There's a chapel and two canteens, one is big and the other one is small.

    St. Joseph's University: Biotechnology/Chemistry.
Placements: My idea for placements is quite not precise, but I do know good companies collaborate with the college for placements, such as Biogenesis, etc. The college encourages internships and fieldwork, such as outreach, since the first semester. The college focuses on practical skillfulness rather than just theoretical learning.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is top-notch for a college that has been running since the 1800s. The medical facilities are easily available, with hands-on experience from the best healthcare professionals. The canteen, classrooms, sports, and hostel (only for girls) are appreciable.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very prominent and helpful when it comes to teaching you in the best possible way. They are highly qualified and teach with excellence. The curriculum is set in a way for students to learn the best out of it for future applications to come.
Other: The crowd is a mixed crowd from all over the country. There is a competitive environment inside the campus, but everyone is always up for helping you learn things. The senior-junior coordination is very healthy and helpful.

A campus where a dream is not a dream anymore.
Placements: The college offers great placements depending up on the performance of each individual. Well known companies such as Bosche and Wipro have shown interest in the University. A couple of my seniors have gotten quite comfortable since they have performed well throughout the years. The average package of a student would be somewhere around 10-12 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The college provides a great environment for the students with all the resources being available such as Wi-Fi, cafeteria, labs, auditoriums, relation area, sports arena, etc. The University being located in the middle of the city is quite convenient for the students to travel.
Faculty: The faculty is very supportive in all the departments. They are friendly and strict at the same time. At the end of the day their motive is to teach the students and they do it wonderfully. Exams take place often, preparing the students for competitive exams.

Not the best college out there, but still the best college in Bangalore.
Placements: The network for internship opportunities is great. Alot of people from my batch got placed in EY—more than 100 students. The highest package was 8 Lacs, and the lowest was 40000 per month. 3 people from physical sciences got internships at NCBS, ITC, and an e-learning platform. Subject Matter Expert is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: We have Eurofin Labs equipment (UV-Vis spectrophotometer, e-titration machines, etc.) and machines to demonstrate the Zeeman Effect. We have a good library with up-to-date books and e-libraries. We have hostel facilities for boys and girls and a canteen that serves a variety of cuisine, including northeastern cuisine. We have two canteens for each building. We have chess, basketball court, and football field.
Faculty: The chemistry department caters postdocs from Johns Hopkins and other topics from German universities, from Ios Alamos. The faculty receives good funding for their research. Yes, it is relevant, equipping us with up-to-date knowledge about the industry. The semesters aren't that difficult, and the pass percentage is very high.
Other: I chose this course to pursue a career in spectroscopy. The syllabus needs to improve more and needs to be more rigorous to compete with foreign universities. We have two festivals with amazing stalls from the Ordinary, Swarovski, etc.

Saint Joseph's University Bengaluru, an overview.
Placements: Since this is a Bachelor of Science program, most students opt for higher education like master's and Ph.D., and the college provides training programs for this path. For students who prefer working, the food and beverage industry has been the highest recruiter. The college also guides students through various internship opportunities while studying.
Infrastructure: The college's highlight is the smaller class sizes due to three shifts, ensuring individual attention for each student. All labs are well-equipped with high-end tools thanks to UGC grants. The library, filled with excellent resources, provides the best atmosphere for quiet study from early morning till late night. Hostel facilities are available only for boys, but finding nearby PG accommodations is easy. The college canteen and mess offer a variety of snacks and filling meals.
Faculty: The School of Science has remarkable teachers who are extremely qualified and eager to teach. The teaching quality is excellent for students who are willing to learn. Teachers are also very supportive, even arranging remedial classes and extra coaching for those who need it. The course curriculum is well-structured, following UGC guidelines, making students ready for entrances and industry with comprehensive theory and labs. Exam difficulty increases with each semester, but dedication and hard work can lead to great results.
Other: SJU is a great place to spend your college days. The crowd is a wonderful mix of people from all backgrounds. SJU ensures there’s something for everyone, whether it’s departmental fests happening every day, clubs, or other activities. This course covers a vast portion taught in a precise and practical manner. Teachers are supportive, helping with scholarships, entrance exams, and much more.

    My personal Joseph's experience.
Placements: Our batch is a new one, with around 70 students in each class. The average package promised was around INR 25,000, and around 15 to 25 percent of students received placements. The roles offered from the course are usually for software engineers at a basic level.
Infrastructure: There is free Wi-Fi all around the campus. The buildings are new and clean. Each classroom is equipped with a projector and is well-ventilated. The labs are well-maintained and air-conditioned. The canteen is a good place to hang out; it's huge, and the quality of the food is above average. I have not had any problems with the canteen food so far. The library has a vast collection of various kinds of books, including study material, and is equipped with a digital library featuring computers with high-speed internet.
Faculty: The teachers are quite friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, with two to three teachers for each subject. However, I found it confusing that in computer theory and practicals, the teachers are different, which sometimes leaves me uncertain about what to do for the next lab. The semester exams are a bit difficult, but not impossible to pass. The previous year's pass percentage was around 60%.
Other: I chose this course because I didn't get my desired course through KCET, and this was a similar option.
