It is the best choice for students' future, and I would recommend this college.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered is 2 LPA. Infosys is the top recruiting company. The internships are provided by companies like TCION. The top roles offered are junior data analyst and scientist at companies like Cisco.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, it is vast and each department has its building. Laboratories, a gym, and all sports courts are also available. The canteen is huge and offers good food at a reasonable price. There are 2 canteens and it has a huge football ground.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. They are available to the students at any time and help students with anything. Thus course curriculum is relevant, and they make students ready for the professional world. The semester exams are moderate level to hard level.
Other: I did not want to do engineering that's why I opted for this course, it is a 3 major subject course so gives me impeccable knowledge. There is nothing I would like to improve. However now there is no 3 major subject course available, and it is only 2 so, that is a disadvantage. College life is good. Regularly fests and programs are conducted. The auditorium is always packed with some or the other events.

B.Sc. in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics - Batch of 2021
Offered by St. Joseph’s University
3.8
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
One of the best colleges in Bangalore, for bachelor courses.
Placements: The course B.Sc in economics, mathematics and statistics (EMS) is relatively new. However, it stood top in national rankings. Especially, after the accreditation of NAAC, its value has increased. Placements are not that great as of now. The previous batch was offered an average salary package of 3.5 LPA. But, most of the students choose to go for higher studies and do not attend placement drives. This course forms a really good base for further courses in economics, and most of the students opt for masters or MBA. Internships are provided by NGOs or start-ups, and most of them are unpaid. However, there are plenty of opportunities through off-campus placement drives.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. As it is situated in the middle of the city, there is no connectivity issue. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but sometimes, it does not work properly. Classrooms are classic with an adequate number of comfortable seating arrangements. We have a canteen which serves delicious food at low prices, and it is very hygienic as well. There are food stalls outside the campus as well. We have all the sports equipment, and there are teams for almost all the sports. We have a hostel for the students of outstation, and the fee charged is very low. The hostel is comfortable and provides good meals. The allotment is provided on a first-come-first-serve-basis. As it is mainly a science college, we have many labs for subjects such as botany, chemistry, computer etc. They are equipped with all the modern facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are relatively new. However, some of the teachers are highly experienced and knowledgeable. They are very amicable and approachable, and they always try to help the students. Teaching methods mainly involve assignments, group discussions and PPTs. The course curriculum is challenging as there is a lot of focus on practical learning and application skills. We have a lot of software-based courses to help us have a better understanding of economics and statistics. The course curriculum is useful as it helps me in developing a core understanding of economics which would be very helpful in my future studies. It inclines students towards research in the science.
Other: The campus crowd is quite diverse with a significant proportion of outstation students. All the major festivals are celebrated on campus, and everyone participates in it. The campus is lush green with many giant old trees, well-maintained gardens and fountains. The college is accessible through many public transport services such as buses or metro. Small fests are regularly conducted which witnesses participation from the colleges located within and outside Bangalore. There is a lot of focus on extracurricular activities. There are separate clubs and societies for events such as dance, music and sports. We have quizzing and debating clubs as well which conducts regular meetings and events.

The best college to do Bachelors.
Placements: The placements were good for computer science students, but EMS couldn't get a placement related to its field. I feel that not enough importance was given to EMS for the placement. But our senior batch got placed in the good companies like E&Y. I feel that it is better to complete your masters and then work.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is all around the campus. The social networking sites will be blocked, and the speed is decent. The classrooms are well-ventilated and a huge enough to house the students. The food is good, and the price is low. You get both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. The hostel is great, and I have heard that they provide the good quality of food too.
Faculty: There are many senior faculty members over there. They are well-experienced and teach you well. The new ones are trying their best to teach the students well. Many teaching methods were used, for example, we had to read and discuss a topic in the classroom, which was fun.

Good infrastructure and facilities that leads to useful learning which is helping me even today.
Placements: The companies that comes for campus recruitment, mainly come to hire computer students and the profile they offer is of an analyst. Only Asian Paints came for a sales profile and offered rupees 6 lakhs per annum which is the highest for that year. The average placements for St. Joseph's is generally around 3.2 lakhs per annum. Lowest amount was offered by Tech Mahindra and that was 1.8 per lakhs annum. There are good companies like EY, Asian Paints, Thomson Reuters, Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Tech Mahindra (to name a few) that comes for placements. Percentage of students getting placed is not fixed as all students do not sit for placements. Many go ahead for further studies.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure except the fact that they lack a good Wi-Fi connectivity all over the campus. The library is well stocked with books in any field one can think of. There are labs for all the subjects that need a lab, for example, botany, zoology, chemistry, microbiology, electronics computer and physics. Classrooms have comfortable benches and desks and are equipped with projectors in case of need. The college provides plenty of options to showcase your talent in the field of sports and cultural activities. There are teams for all kinds of sports that can be played inside the college’s campus and separate cultural teams for dance and singing. The food in the canteen is hygienic and affordable with meals costing around rupees 50. Hostel rooms are cheap and have all the facilities.
Faculty: The college has a bunch of very learned and experienced teachers who do their best to impart knowledge to the students. They are very helpful and friendly, and yet strict when it comes to discipline. Teaching method is mainly blackboard based. But projectors are also used whenever needed. The course curriculum for my course was very useful as it covered a large part of whatever the subject has. Every semester had a new challenging subject which would be both difficult to understand and fun to do.
Other: The college has a good alumni network which it uses well to draw placements every year. Two famous alumni are Mr. Rahul Dravid and Dr. Devi Shetty. Also, the return on investment on the college is very good as the fees for the college is very low. For arts courses, it is as low. It is one of the top 15 colleges in India for arts and science currently.
