Career builder college.
Placements: It has been observed that approximately 75% of students get placed every year. The rest either some of them opt for higher studies or get off-campus jobs. The college provides companies like P360, Infosys Infotech, and Mindtree. The average salary package offered by these companies is approximately 5.5 LPA. The highest salary offered till date is 10.5 LPA. The best recruiting company for our course is P360 which is known for mass recruitment. Most of the students have chosen coding jobs in IT sector-based companies. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA to date. However, a disadvantage is that this college emphasises self-perfection rather than internships.
Infrastructure: Our college provides decent to high-quality lab experience where the internet speed is very fast. This college serves as a huge and good library for students. It consists of 2 types of libraries, one physical and a digital library where students can practice programs, other work, and studies. This college has no hostel facility but has a good canteen which gives cheap and fresh food to students and teachers. It is known for good sports and games options for everyone and it pushes everyone to be a part of it.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They are well-educated and experienced professors. The CSE department has the best teachers for students who are very helpful as well as strict due to which students who are unable to come up with studies are bound to read and study. This is the best part of the college so far where students get full attention on their career, especially for CSE depth. Faculty members at this college are good.
Other: The only flaw of this college is there is a lack of social life in this college because it is a very disciplined and strict college. There are only a few cultural programs and events that are held in this college. Although it's not that it's nil. This college organises fresher's programs and one tech and cultural fest after an odd semester. It also organises one last farewell for seniors.

St. Thomas College: satisfactory faculty, great placements in 2015, really good infrastructure.
Placements: About 60% of the students were placed for the last session. LTI Mindtree rounds are ongoing, with Cognizant starting in the middle of October. The highest package has been 7.63 LPA at NRI Fintech, while the average dims below 5 LPA. Top recruiters like LTI Mindtree and Cognizant are yet to complete their rounds. The top roles offered are junior software developers and data analysts, with a meager 7% of students currently eligible for internships.
Infrastructure: There is no availability of free wifi in the college, with an internet connection only provided in software labs for working. Classrooms are average with no smart boards installed. Faulty projectors lead to disruptions in lectures. While the library is very well organized and maintained, unfortunately, it is perhaps only for the students to see exist, since getting to work on library computers is tedious, with a plethora of processes to go through. Just about decent staffing and communication help us survive the library hours. Facilities are not very well equipped, and getting monetary support for projects is near to impossible. Teachers are very good at lectures, though, with some of them even entertaining doubts from students well past working hours. The food available in the canteen is surely edible, but I don't think it's fair to call it good; it would be an insult to good food. They are bland and flavorless, yet getting that food takes a toll with massive lines inside a small canteen. Medical facilities are well provided on the campus, with sports like badminton, cricket, and football being regularly played by students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and amiable, with all of them having a vast amount of knowledge in their respective fields. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is little to barely relevant to what the current industry asks from an engineer these days. The semester exams are well monitored and maintained, with little room for any wrongdoings. The pass percentage is about 30% with around a 4 CGPA per semester.
Other: I wanted to find a way to work in machine learning and data science, hence my choice of this field of study. I don't regret studying it. I've learned so much about artificial intelligence via this course, but I would improve the introduction to technical subjects like front-end, back-end, and full-stack development, in-depth DBMS, and cloud computing, with practicals done using AWS, among others.

Decent placement opportunities with school like atmosphere.
Placements: Placement is decent, although mostly in IT and almost none in core sectors. Some mass recruiters, such as LTI Mindtree, Infosys, and Cognizant, hire a lot of students from on-campus, as well as some mid-level startups, such as P360 and Nrift. The average package is 4 LPA and the highest is around 9 LPA. Although in 2024, in our batch, there was a huge increase in placement numbers, only a handful of people got placed in the startups, and the mass recruiters didn't visit.
Infrastructure: No hostel facility is available. Canteen food is below average except for the price of the meal, which is average. Classrooms and libraries are good. Libraries issue books to each and every student. Wi-Fi access and labs are decent and students can use them any time during college hours.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, with most of them holding Masters and PhD's. They are approachable and help students after class. The teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum is decided by Makaut University. It is a bit outdated; it teaches the basics but is not proficient in the recent trends and technologies of the industry to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are fairly difficult. You have to study thoroughly to get good marks.
Other: I chose ECE because I wanted to be eligible for both core and IT placements. The course is outdated but college has nothing to do with it as it is decided by the university. Fests and events have started recently. Scholarships like the SVMCM are available.

Good infrastructure and qualified professors.
Placements: 90% of students get placed in our college. The highest package is around 10 LPA, while the average package is around 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Cognizant, Infosys, Microsoft, etc.; almost all students get internships in their second year. CSE is the most preferred branch over others.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Classrooms are huge with big windows. ACs are only in computer labs. All labs are fully functional and working. College canteen food is nutritious and cheap. Faculty is good. Professors are friendly and approachable. Overall, it is perfect.
Faculty: Professors provide us with a question bank, practice questions, etc. before our main semester exam, which is quite helpful. They even provide extra lessons for students who are lacking behind. The teachers are very friendly and always clarify every doubt. I would recommend taking admission.

Absolutely Disgusting Experience.
Placements: Only 8 students are placed in ECE out of 63 students till now. The highest package is 5.5LPA and the lowest is 3.5LPA. P360 has recruited 5 students and Incture has taken only 1 from ECE and some 2 students have got job from offcampus. I don't have any idea about the roles they got. None got internship from our department.
Infrastructure: The labs are well-equipped with instruments. But there were no AC in our labs. Each group is assigned a table and each group contains 3 students. There is Wi-Fi in the college and libraries doesn't have enough books for everyone. There is no hostel facility available in the college. Just like academics, this too is to be arranged by the student himself/herself. Teachers will just sit and gossip in the labs while the students do their practical. No one will come to help even if the students call them.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified. Most of them are either Ph.D. holders or they are pursuing it. But the teaching quality is the worst. They just makes some nonsense presentations and spends it off the students. Very often their notes doesn't match with the syllabus given by MAKAUT. The teachers openly taunts the students in the classroom making the college look like a *** for the students. They doesn't even help the students in the final year projects and create hindrance about your higher studies. They will take your 12th marksheet as soon as you take admission in the college, making it difficult for you to appear in further Competitive exams. Moreover, if you miss 75% attendance in any subject, you have to give Rs.500/subject as fine to appear in semester exams. Some professors maintain a sense of ego and laziness everytime you SEE them. There are finest for beards also. Every morning, if they SEE you with bear, they will shamelessly ask for 10 rupees. In STCET, there are many hidden cost other than the semester feels like you have to buy the lab manuals every semester I. e. around 200-300 rupees then you have to pay MAKAUT registration for exam feels I. e. Rs.1200 each semester. And the most important is the placement training which is around Rs.120000 (one time) in the 5th semester. That training won't teach you anything and It is optional, so better not to take it. The College has a dress which you have to wear it everyday making you look like a school student. The director prioritize financial gain over educational needs. This business-centric approach makes a decline of quality education and overall student satisfaction. They only brags about their College which I haven't found anything to brag about.
Other: I took ECE so that I could be eligible for both Hardware and software industry. It has many subjects which makes you Industry ready. It is advise to change the behavior of the teachers to improve the course. There are small events like "SREY", farewell, Freshers that happens in our college but they are not upto the mark good. The college doesn't provide Scholarships but they have TFW.

Honest review of my college.
Placements: Placement is still ongoing. It is expected that 60% of the students will be placed. The placement here is average. The highest package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies offering higher packages for lower students are P360 and Nomura Fintech. An internship depends on placements here and not from outside.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel. People have to stay as paying guests or rent a flat near the college. The college has a library, classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi available, but rarely do people know the password as no faculty member shares the password. The classrooms are big and well-maintained. Overall good.
Faculty: The teachers here are helpful and kind. Not all are excellent, but there are good teachers. All teachers focus on education and try their best for students. The curriculum is relevant, but not for jobs as much as students need to study web development or other things from outside. DSA and DAA are there, but not so many excellent teachers can be found to teach. Semester exams are quite average. One has to read all chapters; otherwise, no one can predict the questions coming from which chapters, as there are no guaranteed marks from any chapters.
