Infrastructure: St Thomas is well known for their contribution in sports and games. The college is good for many sports and games. Library in the college is very satisfying. It helps every student for their reference. They have supportive faculty members. Wi-Fi is not available for the students. Canteen provides nice quality of food.

    B.Sc. in Zoology - Batch of 2021

    Deserved NACC accreditation
Placements: In the batch 2018 - 2021, BSc.Zoology had about 35 students. Its is a mens college, so most of the degrees are offered by govt. aided so no money needed. MRF, SOUTH INDIAN BANK PVT. were the most frequent recruiters. About 3-5 students were placed directly. As a career for the future zoology is a best option to study. Because life science is the field of study were world expect to serious pandemics strikes. From passing out we where able to do our master's. The certificate is more valuable because the college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University.
Infrastructure: Facilities for state like kerala it is top. Our college has the most zoological specimens museum for study, from all other affiliated colleges. Department has its own Microbiology lab, BSc lab, museum etc. Fisheries is the most focused study area. So big aquariums with various types of fish are there for study. About hostel facility and college canteen. Hostel with a good infratructure near to the college library very strict with students without disciplines. Well maintained food, and water. Canteen too provide a quality food under cheap rates students could afford. There is a open jim for students and a big jim for students who are willing to workout. Sports also appreciated, there is volleyball court in memory of Jimmy George. Also major indian sports like football and cricket are also practiced by students. Many district level selection camps where conducted by the management. Recently in our college, the top most players of kerala basters FC showed for an inaugration which was encouraging the young students.
Faculty: In my department teachers were mostly men with doctorate and great caliber. They completely helped every students to attain knoledge. A-Z topics were fully grasped by students. Teachers use digital projectors and displays for the clear cut study of students. The course, sylabus and all is quiet competitive for the people but good enough to groom you for a great future. Semester exams are conducted by the University. And the exams sometimes tougher. But the college and department has a 96% above pass persentage each year.
Other: I choose Zoology because i love to know about the life. You know only 30 % nearly studied about the oceans there there is a 70 % remaining to study. So the life and its diversities dragged me in to this field. And for future it is an unending study about life. We could expect any thing in future. That curiosity takes you today. One thing i would like to change would be the tightness of the semester syllabus. Yes it is good for the future but for a degree student it is more enough to bear on. Events and fests are conducted by various departments which is good for a campus vibe actually people can be out of there academic stress and relax. Many celebrities were part of the events which was good for the college and for students. The events and extra curricular activities encourage talented peoples. And scolarship for the students to help their studies. I had a scolarship which helped me throughout the course.
