Placements: Placements in our college were decent. Companies that come to the college to offer placements include E&Y, De Shaw and Fortitude. The faculty provide prior information to the students about the companies arriving the college so that they can be prepared for placements.
Placements: Students from a biology background cannot expect a job just after Bachelors. Although Xavier is one of the best colleges in India, it doesn't offer any placements to microbiology students. Very few had gone for off-campus placements in a few well-known biotech companies. Roles offered are basic and entry level only. I have done an internship in the second year of my college. It is optional and completely up to the students. My focus was on blue-green algae. It was an unpaid internship. There is ...
Placements: People don't usually take up jobs after a B.Sc. in statistics. They usually go for Masters and in that regard, the performance of my batchmates and seniors were quite successful. As for placements, I think, only a few (3-4 people in my batch) took up jobs.
Placements: The college provides placements with an average salary package of Rs. 20,000 per month. It depends on your hard work and experience. The placements are good compared to a B.Com degree student. You have to earn it, however, it will not come to yourself on your own.
Placements: This course does not conduct any formal campusing programme. There is a placement cell in the college for all students. We are required to register ourselves there. We have not received any calls regarding placement yet. The course does't not gaurentee any campus placement opportunities.
Placements: The college provides relatively better placements. All that I have known in the past year from my seniors that this college is hard to get but it shapes your today and make your future a bright one. The stipend is approx around 20000 which is a good one for a B.Com graduate. What more do you expect?
Placements: According to my talk with the seniors the placements we get are better as compared to other colleges of the city. It is one of the best colleges of the country and the best in the city. Banking companies like Kotak mahindra visits the campus and take interviews. The primary packages are quiet good. But you have to work for it.
Placements: The placement cell of the college does not offer great jobs for the students studying in my course. Companies like viacom and svf did come to the college, but their salary offered was laughably low. SVF offered free internship, which I believe is illegal as well. They were looking for writers and technicians. Most of my batchmates are pursuing higher studies and the few that are working didn't get their job at the placement cell.
Placements: The college has one of the highest number of recruiters. Frims like Deloitte, Accenture, Wipro and other top IT companies come to office excellent job opportunities to the graduates. It is so good and useful offer for us. We feel so lucky to have this college.
Placements: Basically there's a placement cell in our college where any and all type of information about the various placements is given to interested students. A commerce student can get in EY, PWC and other big companies and the package provided also increases every year. The highest stipend offered this year is around 1800000p. A. and various internships are also offered.
Placements: The placement from our department was pretty good. One of us got placed in City Bank with a good pay package. Companies like Mckinsey, City Bank etc. Visited our campus. Almost 40% students from our batch got placed through the placement cell. We don't usually get internships from the college but students do it on their own venture.
Placements: The placement cell is very promising. It has many opportunity. It has a very good reputation It has best class of companies. My seniors 20 out of 100 got placements. Companies like Deloitte Adobe Microsoft Wipro come to the campus. The lowest package was 3.5 Lacs anuallly.
Placements: Frankly speaking, in Kolkata, you won't get the best of corporates of Indian level. However, being the hub of CA, CS, CWA and other finance-oriented courses, firms such as Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, E&Y look for trainees for around 1 year. The maximum package that is offered in Xavier's will be around 8 LPA to 9 LPA.
Placements: The placements have been very good as companies like the Big four- Delloite KPMG PWC and E Y have visited the campus. Most of the job offers were in finance specialisation and the average package was about 5-6 lacs pa. Delloite almost took 10-12 students. The other companies which visited the campus were futures first which offered a package of 12.5 lacs and Tresvista which offered 6 lacs. Some of the companies in marketing were Zycus, JP Thomas, etc.
Placements: The placement cell provides good placement opportunities to all the students. One can easily get a well-reputed job from it, which can help them in their further studies also. The students usually ignore this and don't apply, which is a big mistake they make.
Placements: Our college makes it mandatory to complete 30 days of internship programme over the course of 3 years. Students are mostly preoccupied in pursuing other professional courses, since our college timings are really facilitative. 80% students pursue professional courses like actuaries, CFA CA FRM. Only 10-20 % are interested in placement through college.
Placements: Placements for sociology are a little on the down side, companies do come and open profiles to all departments but the job profile centers usually around business analytics and similar fields. But one can always sit for the interview process. Most people usually opt for Masters after a B.A. in sociology, there's no guarantee about the placements for the course in St Xavier's.
Placements: Do not join in this course for the placements, because the course is not that great. It is a just a tag of St. Xavier's and nothing else. If you complete this course by passing all the exams conducted by the institution, then you will be handed a certificate, which is valuable but not that much.
Placements: There is a placement cell, which provides the placement assistance to only those students, who opt for the placements. In my final year, the companies like Google and Accenture had come down to the campus. The roles offered to the economic graduates were mainly that of analysts. The highest package that was offered was 10 LPA.
Placements: Placements here are good as it is a very reputable college of Eastern India and a top college in the metropolitan city of Kolkata. Also, co-curricular activities make students confident. Also, the placement cell helps students in getting jobs. I was in B.Com, and also we had my chartered accountants course going on with it, so I didn't require one.
