Get to know SXC in a better way.
Placements: The placement package is generally near 2–2.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Bajaj Finance, Reliance, and Vedanta come for recruitment.
Job roles offered are mainly in the fields of marketing, sales, and management.
Also, during your last semesters, you will get different internship opportunities as well
.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are big and spacious.
Smart boards are available as well.
The college wi-fi connection is good. The library is very accessible; you can come and study whenever you want without any disturbance.
Our college only has boys hostel and our college has 3 canteens, all with good-quality food. We have sick room and a games room as well.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful if you are invested in your studies.
They are highly qualified and knowledgeable people.
The curriculum is very relevant as it has accountancy, business studies, entrepreneurship, etc. As subjects, which are obviously going to be helpful in future. Exams aren't that tough; study properly and get good grades.
Other: This course was chosen by me because I am interested in this field and it will be helpful in my future.
We just have one complaint: the college does not arrange fests at all; it has been 4-5 years since they had one.
Small events are organized by clubs and NSS where you can participate.

St Xaviers Ranchi: A complete no for competitive exams preparing students.
Placements: Placements in St xaviers Ranchi are not much impressive. Only few students only are placed. Local companies like Vedanta steel, etc. Come for recruitment. This year, the highest package was 3.3 Lacs and average was around 1.7 Lacs. By doing B.Com students get only upto normal audting jobs in small companies.
Infrastructure: Hostel here is only available for boys and that too have very limited seats. Overall infrastructure of the college is very good. Wi-Fi is not available for every student. Classrooms are good and well ventilated but smart board is not present in every room. Very good atmosphere for enjoyment.
2 canteens are there, one is like a restaurant which is a bit costly. And the other one is cheaper.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very good and very polite in nature. Few exceptions are there but overall they can be considered very good. Course curriculum may seem a bit pinching for the students preparing for other exams as they will feel over burdened otherwise for normal students, it is good. Semester exams are not so tough. One can pass easily if read atleast 1-2 days.
Other: 75% attendance is a must here and it is very pinching for a student like me who is preparing for competitive exams. Choose this college if you don't want to pursue other things at the same time.

An honest review of St. Xavier's College.
Placements: There is no cap or percent fixed; the placement cell works very hard to bring companies to the college but it depends totally on the students caliber if they're able to secure the placement or not. Generally, the roles offered are basic job roles, such as BPO roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really old—more than 100 years—and really needs some upgrading, although classes are being upgraded into smart classes but not being utilized properly. The library is very quiet, but apart from being a co-ed institution, boys and girls can not study together in the library.
Faculty: Although the teachers are enough, there are still some teachers who just don't know how to teach; they can't even interact with students properly and have been teaching for years. This college is best for those who want to focus on other than college studies because most of the classes end at 10 am.

Surprising college in Ranchi.
Placements: The average placements for Bachelors-Computer and Maths students is around 3-4 LPA. As of 2024 batch the company hiring on campus are Accenture, Tcs and some other local companies. However, I think the highest package is offered to M.Com students of 8 LPA from Deloitte, as tax consultant. Top recruiter for B.Com Accounts) is Accenture and TCS BPS.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for B.Com students is quite nice. You get a big size computer lab, one batch of B.Com (accounts) student include 800+ students. There is a gym for college students and staff. Library is average, it is not that spacious and crowded most of the time. The hostel facility is also pretty average. You get what you pay for. The hostel feels is around 10,000 for whole year with mess fees. However, you will be living in upto 4 bed rooms with little space. The quality of mess food is terrible.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. There is a mix of average and high quality teachers. The teachers use smart boards nowadays to improve quality of learning. Overall B.Com Accounts is not a complete industry ready course. It is mostly textbooks, not much of practical experience, also the projects are boring. Semester exams are on the easier sides. One can easily pass by - a night study before exams. The questions are mostly from previous years, and model question papers. Classes are also done in exam oriented manner. The pass percentage is around 90% for B.Com students.
Other: B.Com course is great for people who are studying CA or CAT. The batch runs in two timings, 6:40-10:00 a. m. and 2:00- 5:40 p. m. The course can get few more practical experiences. Xavier fest is one of the best fests in the town. The cultural festivals are amazing. The college have some good clubs like Rotaract, AICUF and NSS, and NCC.

A great choice if you're looking for a college in Ranchi!
Placements: If you are seeking placements, I would not recommend studying in this college. There were less than 10-20% placements in B.Com because of not very good packages. Internships are a good thing, as 70-80% of students get to do internships. The roles offered are of an accountant or junior manager, etc.
Infrastructure: St. Xavier's has the best infrastructure in the city among other colleges. It has a vast campus with a huge ground. There are three canteens in total. There are world-class computer labs separately for the commerce department. There are science laboratories too. There are many auditoriums for different occasions. There is parking space too. Proper light with smart classes is taken. It has two basketball courts and an indoor games zone too.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supportive. All the teachers are highly qualified. They have the best teaching methods which make the curriculum even easier. The college follows the NEP syllabus and goes accordingly. The exams are taken timely, which are moderate to tough. It has practical classes too, which make the students business-ready or industry-ready.
Other: College life is very enjoyable and cheerful with activities from different clubs taking place from time to time. Xavier's fest is one of the main attractions. Attendance is the most compulsory thing in college. In case you miss the 75% mark, then you will not be allowed to sit in the examination. The rest of the college life is fun if you are disciplined.

It is very difficult to get admission for B.Com hons. with 82% and for other courses you can check for entrance.

No, there is no entrance exam for getting admission in B.Com in St Xavier's School, the minimum eligibility criteria is the college offers BA, B.Sc and B.Com as UG courses. The minimum eligibility for the courses is that the students should have passed with minimum 45% of marks in HSC or its equival
