M.A. in English - Batch of 2025
5
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, it is the best college for the M.A in English course.
Placements: Approximately 83% of students in our course are placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA. One is the best hiring firm for our course. Approximately 70% of the students in our course are able to secure internships at organisations such as Macmillan, Hachette, and others. I am not aware of roles available to students.
Infrastructure: We have good classrooms that can accommodate over 100 students and are furnished with air conditioning and smart boards. Windows are enormous. Every classroom has a drinking water facility in front of it. Although slightly unclean, restrooms are manageable. Many of the literature that students need are kept in our departmental library.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are excellent and always willing to assist any student. Even professors are willing to help pupils in finishing their projects. They are intelligent and well-qualified, with several faculty members having over 20 years of excellent expertise. The difficult semester exams are moderate and pass rate is 62%.

Overall, best college for an M.A. in Social Work.
Placements: Most of the colleges rely heavily on transfers. Around 80%-95% of M.A. graduates are placed in the social work area. The offered salary ranges from 15 LPA-30 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA-6 LPA. They offer packages mostly on your skills and expertise. Leading recruiters include NOCD, Talkspace, and Thriveworks. Around 75% of students are offered internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided are first-rate. Wi-Fi is available for students on campus. A central library and a departmental library are the two best places. Additionally, there are canteens for intermediate, UGC, and PG students. The hostel is open only for leads.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified and amiable. Even our instructor is very helpful and knowledgeable person. The course curriculum is well-known and appropriate. It helps in preparing students for the workforce. There are 2 middle exams and 2 final exams, every year. Semester exams are easy. Around 67% of the students pass the examinations.

M.A. in Tamil - Batch of 2020

Average placements and capable to learn more.
Placements: Doesn't have a lot of opportunities, only limited opportunities, so we should put in a lot of effort to grab such offers. Some of the students focused on clearing their government exams, and also others concentrated on doing their graduation on higher degrees.
Infrastructure: St. Xavier's College comprises various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. They support various green activities like rainwater harvesting, solar heating, and paper recycling. Interested students can join fitness centers, gyms, yoga classes, and dance classes arranged by management.
Faculty: Academic classes were okay; without any doubts, we have 5 to 6 academic classes in a day. Moreover, they won't encourage any activities other than the academics. While coming to the syllabus, it was really harder, so exams are also difficult to clear. So clearing it in the first attempt is beneficial.
