Positive and negative aspects of St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering.
Placements: To be very honest, I got selected in Infosys as Human Resources Manager arranged by the college placements with a package of 4.5 Lacs per annum. We have active internship offers, which were arranged by the college management. Also, our placement in-charges keep in connection with various companies.
Infrastructure: Departmental libraries are placed in every block. Also, in the main library, various journals, periodicals, and newspapers are placed. Also, new books are bought at the end of each month. They show their special concern in maintaining the campus.
Faculty: Academic performance keeps on increasing every year because of well-updated and knowledgeable lecturers. We have no set frequencies in writing exams, tests, and assignments. We often wrote exams to upgrade our marks in semesters. We were punished when we failed to submit assignments.

M.E in Structural Engineering.
Placements: Mostly service-based companies came for placements. Also, they would offer higher pay to the students rather than the product-based companies. Also, students were quite interested in companies that offer higher payments. Almost 60% of students got placed in such companies.
Infrastructure: Books were maintained properly and were used by the readers often. To improve our communication skills and keep us updated with everyday news, English newspapers were distributed to each and every student daily. Zonal-level tournaments were conducted in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers mostly focused on doing their work. I can't see any of my faculty members without having a laptop and books. They often create some Google forms to ask for their feedback and to conduct MCQ tests. Mostly all the students clear their exams in the first attempt itself.

The best college of my life .
Placements: Placement varies from department to department. In general, the engineering department had a decent placement record. Many leading MNCs were there for recruitment purposes. The average package should have been a bit higher, but it was all okay—17 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The hostel of our college is so good; we have a good room facility by our college, as the rooms have a good facility and are comfortable for living, and our hostel has good food service, as the quality of food we get is as good as the quantity..
Faculty: The course of ME is so good. Our course has given us the best of its quality and source of education and a very positive and good curriculum with great faculty. There is a semester examination taken, and in between internal examinations are also there.

Wonderful college experience in 2024.
Placements: According to the placement drive, this college is first in Kanyakumari district. They bring more than 50 companies to campus in your pre-final year. You will also get placement support after college. The average salary package is around 4 LPA. Around 60% of students get placed, mostly in CSE and mechanical engineering. So study and prepare well for your placements.
Infrastructure: The college has a large library, but you won't have time to read. It has a playground, but you won't have free time to play. Wi-Fi access is restricted and won't be accessible on your laptops or mobile phones. The canteen is large, but there is not much variety of food, only two or three choices, despite a large menu. Hostel food is below average. Non-veg is served two days a week in the hostel.
Faculty: The CSE department is strict with its courses, but you can easily pass because you are in an autonomous college. You have to work a little hard, and you can clear your exams. The final semester will be mostly free. You will have weekly exams. Industrial visits will be provided. If you join, enjoy your time with limited enjoyment, since there won't be many programs.
Other: CSE, IT, and AI/DS are some of the most in-demand courses in the market. You will have many placement opportunities. It doesn't depend on the college; it is about your own interest and learning. There won't be many events or cultural programs. Enjoy every moment you are in college; you will miss it later.
