I suggest you go somewhere else but do not take admission in this college.
Placements: Placements are not available here. If you want to take admission here, then you have to do hard work by own. There is no placement cell. Placement wise this college is very bad. There are no technical courses. Not a single company visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good but average. Classrooms are non-air-conditioning and average. But all computer labs are air-conditioned. In the lab, faculty members are good enough. The science lab is very good. You can take admission if you judge it by the infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not so good but average. Many teachers are very good. They are very helpful and cooperative. Commerce faculty members are good. I cannot say about science faculty and art faculty members.

Except for placements, everything was good in our college.
Placements: Everyone got their degrees, and they did their best for placements. The placement rate of our college is about 5%. However, the degree we got is very much useful for our future. The highest salary offered was about Rs. 10,000 per month and not more than that. No companies actually visited the campus for placements. Students got placed on their own, by visiting the companies or any other sources because the placement facilities in Syamaprasad are very bad. There is no placement cell in the college.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are perfect. Classrooms were average. Labs were available. There were different libraries for the students of different streams which we found quite good. The canteen was not good, but it was fine. The infrastructure of the college wasn't that bad.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college were quite okay. The worst part was that we didn't have to attend college on a regular basis. I hated that because the teachers used to conduct classes for limited days. However, their teaching skills were quite well because the teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. They used to provide the syllabus and give proper knowledge to us. Since I was a maths student, I used to like maths, and it was my own choice to go with mathematics, so I will not blame the teachers and college for anything.
Other: The best part of the college which students like a lot was the events and fests. It was the best. Events were entertaining. When the celebrities enter the stadium, the whole crowd cheers and they start dancing, singing and enjoy the most for the whole time. We used to wait for fests. Our college was most famous for its dance and football teams as they always win the competitions. Near our campus, there were food stalls, and that was actually good because we could get the food at the right time at least. So, everything was the best.

    Review of Syamaprasad College.
Placements: In my course, many opportunities are provided by the college. As per the previous records 4 out of 10 students get placements. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Most IT companies are visite on campus.
Infrastructure: I'm not in the hostel as I'm a day scholar but many hostels are available near the college premises. Students from there say it's good tidy and affordable. As computer science department works in day section we got to use the annex building. There are 13-14 classes available and 5-6 labs are available. Mostly too small which can't take more than 30 students at a time. But there are 2-3 classrooms which are big enough to take 80-100 students at a time.
Faculty: As the new education system is introduced. There is a lack of book availability and lack of hardware and software requirements. But still, faculty members are managing in a very smooth way. But the new course is so good that it totally makes students industry-ready and all.

College day is my favorite day is the college, and I'm proud of my college.
Placements: In our college, placements for our batch are superb. Our senior batch also did an awesome performance. At least 50% of the students of our batch got placed in top companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, etc., and the rest are doing masters. Many courses like a bachelors degree, master degree in streams of science, commerce, arts, and also some technical courses are provided in our college.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in our college are also good. Wi-Fi facility provided in the college is very good. There is air-conditioner in every classroom. Some faculty members in the college solve the basic medical problems of student's, and they do their work very sensibly. There are physics and computer labs, and also the lab rooms are very big. The canteen in our college provides delicious food at any time. Some of my friends whose home was far away from college, stay in the hostel with a low budget. Our faculty members are helpful to students.
Faculty: Teachers in all the departments are well-educated and behave well with students. They give us time to solve our problem. Their teaching quality is awesome. In every department, there are around 50-60 students and 5-6 teachers. HOD is very good, and all the teachers are also good. We respect them from the bottom of our heart.
Other: Every year, events and fests are held compulsorily. The fest organised in our college is awesome, and the guests who visit our college during fest are very famous. Every year, guests who are visiting and performing in the college are different. The campus crowd is full. Our college provides some scholarships to eligible students. Every year, lots of extracurricular activities are held, and we enjoy a lot.

Dissatisfied by the university rules and regulations, poor quality of education.
Placements: Very few placement is awarded from this college. Though some names of renowned companies is given in the website. But nothing happens in reality. No internship can be availed. Though some good students get jobs through reference of the departmental teachers. There is a placement cell in college but not much efficient. Mostly BPO placements are awarded.
Infrastructure: It has library, computer IT lab. , physics and chemistry lab, gymnasium. Satisfactory equipments are there in the labs. Sports activity is carried out in a filed within 1 km radius of the college. Some indoor games like carton and table tennis can be played in games common room. Canteen foods are satisfactory. Hostels are provided for girls only.
Faculty: Though teachers are really helpful but regularity of classes are very rare case. Student teacher gap is huge in my opinion. Very few students get the motivation to do classes. Though course syllabus is good and helpful for future but exposure to the industry was not satisfactory.
Other: Departmental fests and fresher's fests occur every year conducted by the students union.

Infrastructure is bad but the faculty members are good.
Placements: Near about 10-20% students got internships and jobs. If you go through the placements, there is no placement cell in the college. In college, there is no technical course except a few such as computer science honors, electronic, and mathematics honors.
Infrastructure: There were AC classrooms and a library which was good with almost all the books. Labs were not well equipped with instruments and chemicals. There is no Wi-Fi in the college and the college building was not good. It doesn’t seem like a college. There is no proper sport, game or canteen.
Faculty: Teacher were qualified and also knowledgeable but not so helpful. The college follows Calcutta University’s pattern. Previously, there was an exam yearly but now the system changed and now it follows semester system exam in every six months. Teaching quality is good.
Other: Events and fests were good but there is no extracurricular activity.
