Review of SIIB Pune - Symbiosis Institute of International Business.

Placements: Above 80% of students got placed, and the average package was around 9-10 LPA. The highest package offered in my batch was 15-16 LPA for a few students. Mostly, banks were the main recruiters, after which MNCs also visited the campus and hired students in good numbers.

I am not happy with the faculty along with the infrastructure but I am happy with the placements.

Placements: The placements are too good what you can expect from that college it will give you more than that. You can easily get an average package of 10 lacs as mention on the website if you perform pretty well you can have a pair of more than 17 lacs. The ROI is good because you pay around 6 lacs in one year and can get 10 lacs in one year.

The college has more scope for improvement in placements and industry exposure.

Placements: Every student gets placed with a preferred role. Placement cell in our college is very productive, but faculty members role in placements should be considered. Interactions with seniors and alumni about job and job profile should be encouraged so that students get a proper idea when they are entering the corporate world.

Average satisfaction, though the in-house faculty are not so good.

Placements: Placements when in an average way by giving a reason of demonetization but the placements are better than the last year. The average package is 4-5 lacs. Most of the profiles offered were marketing and sales. Specifically for ENE, companies like KPMG, Geocycle, GIC, NIF, Grandview Research and a few more common companies visited for placements.

Situated in the city of opportunities.

Placements: Maharashtra is a hub for crucial agriculture-related processing and manufacturing companies, and Pune is one of the most important cities in the state. Hence, the presence of all the essential companies regarding the agriculture sector makes it easy for placements.

Old college, and strong alumni base.

Placements: The college of agriculture business has been started since 2004, so the alumni have a strong impact on helping the placements. The separate alumni relations committee has been formed under the supervision of the director itself to build the corporate relations more stronger.

Placement is assured provided you follow attendance rules.

Placements: 100 percent placement is assured only you if you don't have any disciplinary action against you. The institute is very strict about the attendance and the brand image. If any student does anything to tamper the brand image of the institute, he is no longer eligible for the final placements.

The attendance is compulsory.

Placements: SIIB gives assurance of the 100 percent placements. Those who undergo the disciplinary actions may have to opt out from the placements. One of the significant disciplinary action that the students face is if their attendance is not up to the level which is above 90 percent.

This institute is the only institute which provides the students with the international business exposure after Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). It is the second best institute with a great finance department’s faculty. It has a strong alumni network. The recognized certifications like Greenbelt Six Sigma certification are added to the curriculum which eventually gives practical knowledge to the students.

Recognized certifications like greenbelt six sigma certification, capstone business simulation are added in the curriculum, which eventually gives practical knowledge to the students. Also in the first year there is SAP business course, where we not only learn resource planning but act as a company in order to understand the nuances in the business. The other si...

The best thing about our college is the library. It has business magazines as well as novels along with the course books. The online library access is also provided to the students. However, the internet connection provided at SIC is slow. Being located in Pune, it has access to some of India's greatest industries. College brings in industry leaders from time to time for lectures on the current market scenario.

\The first thing one is sure to notice when he/she enters the campus of the college is the impressive academic building. However, something about which students often crib is that the campus is small as compared to other b-schools. There is also no available ground for outdoor activities such as cricket and football, forcing students to be content with indulging in indoor sports. The college has comfortable classrooms. The professors at this B-school are strict when it comes to academics and stu...
