I'm not satisfied with the college as the placements are poor.

Placements: The college doesn't provide any placement opportunities for students of the civil engineering department. The college needs to organise many events. They need to hire many faculty members. They should conduct many programmes so that the students can keep themselves busy.

No hope for civil students but a faint chance for electrical and computer branches.

Placements: For the students in civil and mechanical branches, there is no hope for any placement from the college. On the other hand, electrical and computer branches are getting placement on the regular basis. Companies like wipro and TCS had recently visited our college and had given job opportunities to number of students. After getting good response from the students, companies are eager to visit our college next year.

A college at an amazing location.

Placements: The placements for our batch was good. Same goes for our senior batch. Approximately 60 percent students got placed from the college. The highest package being offered was of 6 lacs whereas the minimum salary offered was 3 lacs. The average salary was around 4.5 lacs. Companies that visited the campus were Accenture, Wipro, TCS and others. There were mixed roles being offered to the students as per their specialisation. 70 percent of the students got internship from the college as it has good co...

A Fair Review of THDC IHET.

Placements: There is no so much placement in our time. Only one company was there for the placement. But that was the time when the college was just established. But now there are many companies like COLOURD COW joining hand with college to provide college students training and placement.

If you are looking for a college where you can chill out, THDC-IHET will be your place.

Placements: I don't think that in whole Uttarakhand, there is a scope for campus placements in the civil branch. So you only have the choice to prepare for the state exams, or you can prepare for GATE and ESE as well. For that, you must start preparing from the 5th semester itself.

Nice experience of mine here.

Placements: The placement opportunity is okay. For freshers incubation program is held at the institute. You need to work hard for every opportunity here. Few companies have knocked the door and in future, many companies may visit. Only a few years of the opening of the college from 2011, the college has developed.

Totally satisfied by faculty, placements and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements here was not too good, but there is a lack of resources in the college area, so the companies don't try to come here. Moreover, many new companies try to come here and place a good number of students in their organisation or companies.

An overview of THDC Institute of Hydropower Engineering and Technology.

Placements: There are placements, and in fact, today we had placements for all the branches of the fourth year. A microprocessor company had come. The college tries its best to bring companies to carry out the placement. The training and placement cell fully supports us and provides us with the information.

Dissatisfied not only by college, but with the university too. Atmosphere is good, but not faculty.

Placements: The college atmosphere is nice as it is near the lake. As everyone expects a good atmosphere along with some good teachers, forget about this. Some of the teachers are nice, but some are there just for their income. They don't care about the students as they even don't support you if you take any initiative and control you through marks in their hand. There will be no name of the placements here, especially for the mechanical, but if you are able to do it by yourself without any help than you ca...

Should opt this college, if you are looking for good study at a reasonable price.

Placements: I would say, there are no placements in civil and mechanical departments. The student depended on GATE, but there is little placement in computer engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electrical engineering, but it is better than another government college which is under UTU (Uttarakhand technical university).

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placement in 2016, really good infrastructure etc.

Placements: I study in B.Tech 3rd year, so I am not eligible for the placement, but our senior's batch has an 80% placement. I am a student of the mechanical, and I can say that our seniors have a great placement and a good salary which was Rs. 25,000 per month. On an average, It's a great place.

Overall, it is a good college to study.

Placements: There is a good chance of getting placed from our colleges for the students who are not interested in government jobs and fields. The college does the best to support you; the rest is up to you and how you manage the things. Overall, the placements of my batch were good.

I had an absolutely satisfying experience.

Placements: The placement numbers are low, but quite a good companies come here. Also, the Dehradun is very near to the college, and this college provides access to almost every open placement. Also, the industrial experience of THDC India Ltd. is continuously provided by the administration to the students, and they help us during the placements.

The campus is good, but I am not satisfied with the facilities.

Placements: There is no placement record yet in our college as 2 or 3 companies visit the campus for placements. For the civil branch, campus placements are zero. The college should improve a lot in training and placements. It sends students to participate in pool campus drives. But if they invite companies in our campus for placements, then there will be better results. Students have the calibre to crack the interviews, but they never got a chance here.

Its good, but not as good as IIT or Pantnagar, but it is far better than many other UTU colleges.

Placements: For the students of the civil branch, two to three companies arrived the college, and they offered a maximum package of Rs. 25,000 per month. Apart from this, some more companies visited the campus to recruit electrical, ECE and computer science students. From this year, the placement cell is working on placements opportunities in our college. As a result, many companies are visiting our college to recruit students.

Average placements in 2017

Placements: The placements were not very good but they can be called average seeing the response. Less than half who appeared for the rounds got selected. The salary was 4.3 lpa at max. The companies visiting our campus were Panacea and similar BPOs. The roles were offered according to the capabilities. Around 30 students got internships from the college. The stipend ranged from Rs. 5000-10000.

Review of my college - THDC IHET.

Placements: Placements are done in electronics and computer science branch in majority. You can have an internship in Tehri dam. Students of electronics and computer science branch are placed with maximum salary of 7 LPA and minimum of 2.4 LPA. Maximum students of electrical, civil and mechanical branches are offered internship in THDC, but some students have done their internship from CRRI, ONGC and other giant companies. Many seniors preferred doing M.Tech. Placement for seniors are average as it’s a new ...

Ii am absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty and placements in my college in 2015

Placements: Very poor or you can say no placement at all. We were the first batch of our college and had high hopes regarding the future placements, and moreover, our college is a government college made by THDC and it is a PSU, so we think that there would be some kind of placement as after all it is a hydropower college. But in the end, only 2 companies visited our college giving Rs.10000 per month package to the electronics branch which is a shame after all. Only 1% of the students were placed through th...

Good college if you really do not get any other college in JEE .

Placements: The campus placements aren't really good since the college is in a rural hill area, so very few students get placements. About 40–50% of students get placed here with a good salary between INR 4 and 20 lacs. The placement cell is growing here, so you might have a chance to get good placements in the future. They provide internships too. They are providing a new branch here, CSE (AI/ML), which might have the potential to increase AVG placement by 4-5 lacs. Top companies are Tata, Suzuki, and Azim...

This college is very good.

Placements: The course is very good. We found good friends in our batch. The batch is full of smart and intelligent students. My percentage is around 70, and the package offered is about INR 4 lpa to 6 lpa. Also, many top companies visit our college. The top role is executive manager.
