Steps for GEIMS Pune Admission Process 2025
GEIMS considers the scored of the candidates in the entrance or qualifying exam for admission. Candidates have to first apply for the preferred course to participate in the selection rounds. Below are the steps to get a seat in the institute:
Step 1: GEIMS Pune Application Process 2025
Candidates can apply online for admission by paying an application fee. Aspirants need to fill out personal, contact and academic details in the application form.
Step 2: Selection
GEIMS Pune selects candidates for admission based on an online test conducted by the institute. Aspirants also need to pass IMU CET for Diploma programme. Besides, the selection for General Purpose Rating is based on merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. After all candidates take the test, the admissions team determines the cut-off score. Selected candidates are further called for the personal interview round. Aspirants also need to undergo a medical examination.
Step 3: Admission Confirmation
The final merit list is prepared based on academic scores, online test scores, personal interview round and medical test of the candidate. Once selected, aspirants have to pay a non-refundable booking amount within the specified deadline to secure their seat.
Step 4: Sponsorship Letter & Joining
Candidates are issued a sponsorship letter upon paying the GEIMS Pune fee. If an aspirant wishes to obtain a loan, he or she must complete the necessary procedure prior to the joining date.

GEIMS Pune Diploma Admission 2025
Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies offers a Diploma in Nautical Science in affiliation with DG Shipping & IMU. The first part of the course consists of a 12-month pre-sea training course conducted on shore followed by 18 months of structured shipboard training. After completing the training, students can appear for BSc (Nautical Science) exam affiliated to IMU and recognised by DG Shipping.
