Absolute good for this fees with this faculty, with a very good placement.
Placements: 20% of the students were already placed when they came to college. 60% of the rest were placed by the college. In my course, the average salary package is between INR 15,000 to 50,000, which depends on the type of ship and company. Many companies visited our college and selected cadets. Companies like Synergy, Chevron, New Shipping Kaisha, Andromeda, Fleet Management, Anglo-Eastern, M.Sc. MSI, TSI Seaways, Maersk, etc. Everyone who met the eligibility criteria was selected by a company. Deck cadets are the entry-level position on a ship, and are promoted based on experience and passing exams.
Infrastructure: The classroom environment was good with smart class, air conditioning, plenty of space, fresh air, and Wi-Fi. The library was well-stocked with materials for our studies and exams. The hostel life was lacking, especially the food in the mess. The food quality was poor for me and my fellowcadets. The accommodation was like any other hostel, with four students in a room. The medical facility was only open from 9 to 8 on weekdays. Sports and games were active, and students were encouraged to participate in various competitions.
Faculty: The teachers were very kind and helpful, and they were all experts in the field we were studying. The facilities were great, and the course curriculum was relevant and interesting. The exams were challenging, but I was able to pass them with a score of 79%.
Other: I chose this course only on my own interest in this field. My brother-in-law is a chief officer. He used to be an inspiration for me to get into this field. DNS (Diploma in Nautical Science) is the course I choose to study as it's only one year of education and the rest is in our training period. This course gives us quick job facilities and a stipend, which we will be getting in our training period. The course has nothing to improve or get better. College has been nice to everyone by celebration festivals, culturals, sports days, and all. Scholarships have been given to other eligible cadets. Campus is so peaceful with it's nature and beauty.

For those who are interested in Merchant Navy, this college is very good.
Placements: More than 50 students are placed out of 120. More shipping companies are coming for placement. For joining this college we need to give IMUCET. For sponsorship in DNS we have to give Synergy sponsorship exam. Most of the passed candidates get placed in college. Otherwise we have to take placement off campus.
Infrastructure: The college has good Wi-Fi, a good mess, and medical facilities. There is no canteen on campus, but there are grounds for playing basketball, badminton, cricket, football, and volleyball. The library has a good collection of books and a good Wi-Fi network. Overall, it is a good environment for study.
Faculty: The teachers are very good. They are experts in their fields and are former masters of ships. The course is tightly paced and can be learned in one year. It makes students industry ready. The semester examinations are not very difficult, but the passing percentage is only between 60% and 70%.
Other: For DNS students who are sponsored, this college is very good.

I will never recommend this college to anybody.
Placements: Placements are good. Frequently visited by companies. Good companies come to take students. Approximately 100 percent placement. Frequent VIP visits are there at the college. Good companies. Famous companies. Big and famous companies. Good placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Good facilities in classrooms. Smart boards are provided for teaching. Nice infrastructure. Good infrastructure. Nice facilities. Nice cabins are allotted to the students. Cabins are good and comfortable. Attached washrooms and bathrooms to the cabins.
Faculty: Good faculty. Good teachers. Teachers give all their efforts to teach students. Anytime, ready to clear doubts. Anytime, ready to answer any questions from students. Hardworking faculty and teachers. Bad wardens. Rating is less just because of wardens; otherwise, faculty is good.
Other: The worst campus life you can ever live. I would never recommend this college to anyone.

The college is incredible.
Placements: The college has an incredible placement record, and they are maintaining it well. All of the students in my batch were placed, and some of them were even sponsored. The companies that hire HIMT cadets include MAERSK LINE, BSM, MSC, GOODWOOD, and MARSHALL.
Infrastructure: The college is located in kalpakkam Tamilnadu, and the campus is very clean and neat. The infrastructure is quite good, and they have electrical, electronics, automation, and virtual reality labs. There is also a ship in the campus facility, which provides students with more practical knowledge. The hostel is good, but the climate in Chennai is very hot and humid, which can make it difficult to sleep. Overall, all is good and stable.
Faculty: The faculty are very good and supportive, and they are experienced. They take extra classes for placements, even using their own time. The semester exams are a bit tight, and the evaluation is strict, so you need to study well to get good marks.

Best college in South India (Hindustan institute of maritime training, HIMT).
Placements: In our batch, 35 students were enrolled, and 26 of them were placed during their studies. The two-year fee for the ETO program was around 3 lakh rupees, and it may have increased since then. However, the college does offer scholarships for students. The college also has good placement opportunities, with top companies like MEARSK, MSC, Synergy, D-Manico, Marshall, Scorpion, Thomee, Evergreen, and Anglo-Eastern coming to recruit students. Of the students who were placed, 26% got internships with MSC, Marshall, and Maersk, while 68% were placed in permanent positions. Additionally, the college offers scholarships to toppers in higher studies and degrees.
Infrastructure: This college has the best infrastructure. The classrooms are air-conditioned, and the labs provide training that is the same as what you would find on a ship. The campus even has a ship that students can use to practice their skills. The Wi-Fi is only available in the computer labs and classroom monitors, and the network can be slow at times. The library is well air-conditioned and has a wide selection of books, including study materials and books about life. The hostel is good but not air-conditioned.
Faculty: The faculty are dedicated to helping their students succeed. They make sure the students are prepared to work in difficult situations on board ships. The semester exams are easy, and the students are able to excel because of the excellent teaching they receive.
Other: I'm an electrical engineer who joined the ETO course at HIMT. The course is only four months long, but I wish it were six months or a year. HIMT celebrates all the festivals, but they concentrate on Hindu festivals. They provide scholarships to students who excel in higher studies.

Apart from placements everything was good at Coimbatore Marine college.
Placements: Coimbatore Marine College did not have very many placement opportunities for its students. Very few of the students in this batch get placed at this college. The average package offered at the college was between 3 and 6 LPA. Students were not getting proper placement support from the college. Internships were also not given to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available at the Coimbatore Marine College for our course was good. College had a pretty big campus. All the necessary facilities were provided to the students by the management. The college has facilities such as a hostel, canteen, Wi-Fi, library, labs, sports, etc. for its students. The food in both the college canteen and mess was average.
Faculty: The faculty of the Coimbatore Marine College was good for our course. Teachers available in our course are experienced, and we'll be qualified at this college. They were using all their experience for the students development. The course curriculum was also relevant and made students industry-ready. Exams were not that hard to pass at this college for our course. Overall, the teaching quality was good enough at this college.
