There are good faculty members and 100% placement records and elegant infrastructure.
Placements: The best part about GEIMS is its 100% placement record, which is true. Even if you fail in any subjects, then after clearing it, you'll get a placement for your internship/cadetship. Top companies like Tombs Shipping, Wallem Ship Management, Seaspan, Synergy, Gesco, Goodwood Shipping and many more visit here until you get placed.
Infrastructure: Our campus is elegant. Hostel rooms, labs, classrooms, library and canteen, are also elegant. The food served here is good, and the rooms are comfortable. There are plenty of games and amusement facilities like a gym, table tennis, etc. The best part here is that every Saturday, you can watch any movie in the auditorium on a big screen. But the worst thing is smartphones are not allowed inside the campus, so Wi-Fi facilities are not available.
Faculty: Very experienced captains and chief engineers are the faculty members here, so the knowledge shared by them is enough to pass exams and groom ourselves for the practical industry. You have to study a little hard atleast when exams are going to conduct shortly to pass them. Daily there is a time-restricted schedule, which you have to follow, and anyhow leaves are only provided on medical grounds.
Other: This course is offered with sponsorship, so your internship is secured. I wish smartphones should be allowed inside the campus. Games and few other extracurricular activities are part of campus life. The most exciting event organised here is Naughtica, which is an inter-college event.

Overall, the campus and the hostel facilities are good. Faculty are awesome and motivating.
Placements: The companies provide sponsorships through a process of online exam and interview. If you clear all the rounds of this placement process, they'll give sponsorship and full training. There are other reputed foreign companies like PIL, Seaspan, World Tankers, etc., who provide good placements. Overall, placements in our college are good.
Infrastructure: The college is more like a five-star resort. The housekeeping staff regularly clean the campus and cabins. Hostel rooms are cleaned every third day, and bedsheets are changed every Saturday. Classrooms are neat, clean, spacious and air-conditioned. I would rate 5 out of 5 for classrooms. The college library has world class books with a good management system. E-learning facility is also available here. The computer labs are also available for entertainment, and one can study well with the help of good speed of the network. Canteen looks good with good interior design, and it offers good food. Cleanliness is more emphasised here. I didn't face any issues during my tenure at GEIMS.
Faculty: All the faculty members of the college have the masters or chief engineer's degree. They are the best in their fields with a huge amount of knowledge as well as experience. The quality of teaching is good. They are very helpful. They usually teach using powerpoint presentations and videos. There is a system of watching Videotel safety video related to our course every alternate day. We got to go on a ship visit once. The industry exposure was really good as the faculty would share their experience with us. The course curriculum was very good.
Other: There is a scholarship programme for students who can't pay such a high amount of fees. We participated in many activities like Swach Bharat Abhiyan, educational fairs, sports activities and competitions, etc.

Best college in india 100% placement.
Placements: Placement is 100% if you are not selected in any company they will place you on their ship means great eastern shipping company. In my batch, almost every student gets placed
Companies which comes in great eastern are seaspan, wallehm ship management, Wilhelmsen etc.
The only problem is the waiting period in the great eastern ship you have to wait minimum of 6 month
Salary for a cadet is 25000 to 40000.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome I am love with the surrounding
Classroom are well maintained teachers are very helpful library consist of all types of book you can issue any of the book, big ground for sports and PT you can play any type of indoor and outdoor game
Their is well-equipped dispensary in case of emergency its very helpful for Students mainly all necessary first aid items and medicine are available their. Well-equipped labs all the necessary machines and training items are available.
Faculty: Teacher GEIMS very helpful they always stand with their student most of the teachers are retired captain, chief officer or Engineer
They know every student's pros and cons and they work on it to improve student productivity and in study
The course curriculum is very useful I think its the best institute in India.

Review of my career making institute.
Placements: The placements are 100% as we get the sponsorship before the commencement of the course. The great eastern shipping co. Ltd. takes all the students who do not get a chance in foreign companies. There is waiting period for joining internships, but in comparison to other companies, it is very short.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent as the institute is known as the best maritime training institute in India. The locality in which the college is situated is excellent. The sight around the college is very beautiful, and fresh air is available. The food is good, and everything is awesome.
Faculty: The faculty is well-experienced. The things that they teach are very useful for the cadets to make their future good in the business. Especially, the vice principal of the college Capt. Philip John, and he is the master of navigation. In my opinion, he is the best at what he does.

It is one of the best institutes there.
Placements: All of us were placed in the best companies in the industry. Companies like Seaspan, Goodwood and Fleet Management were some of the companies that visited our campus for recruitment. Apart from them, many other companies also visit the campus. It's one of the best institutes for DNS.
Infrastructure: The food served in the hostel is ample in quantity. Other sports activities were available in ample number here. There are top-rated labs with great instructors to help us. The hostel is also located in a great spot. That place is just beautiful in the monsoons.
Faculty: All the instructors were from top shipping companies like MOL, Maersk Lines and Great Eastern Shipping. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is highly recommended because it helps you at sea. The passing marks are 50%, and it is easy to pass exams.

Good infrastructure and facilities. Really good and experienced faculty. Placements are good.
Placements: Placement is 100% because Great eastern has its own ships. 3-4 companies come for every batch and the students who don't get placement in other companies stays in GESCO. Companies like BSM, Fleet, Goodwood, Seaspan, Eastern Pacific, MTM, 7 island have come for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good enough. Classes were air conditioned. Labs were very good. Library was excellent. Sports and games were also good. Quality of food was nice.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable .
