    Q:   Is B.A. at The Heritage College a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

    Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure with modern facilities like lifts, air-conditioned libraries, and spacious classrooms. Although, some students mentioned that the Wi-Fi connectivity could be improved.

    Faculty: Most students praised the faculty, saying they were helpful and knowledgeable. Some teachers went above and beyond to assist students, while others were more strict. The teaching quality was generally good, making students prepared for semester exams.

    Course Curriculum: The B.A. course didn't directly lead to job placements, but it prepared students for higher education. While some students felt it wasn't industry-ready, others found internships and job opportunities through their own efforts.

    Placement Opportunities: Unfortunately, there were no guaranteed placements for B.A. students. However, students who pursued higher studies or applied to off-campus job openings had success finding employment. For example, one alumnus secured a content writing position with a starting package of INR2 Lacs per annum.

    Overall: Despite some drawbacks, many students appreciated the college's infrastructure, faculty, and overall atmosphere. With diligent effort, students can leverage these resources to achieve their goals. While the course might not guarantee immediate placements, it lays the foundation for further education and career development.

    Here's a summary of the key points:

    * Pros:
    + Good infrastructure with modern facilities
    + Helpful and knowledgeable faculty
    + Spacious classrooms and libraries
    * Cons:
    + Limited Wi-Fi connectivity
    + Course didn't directly lead to job placements
    + No guaranteed placements for B.A. students
    * Recommendation: For students interested in pursuing B.A., consider taking advantage of the college's resources and focusing on developing skills and building connections to increase chances of future employment or higher education opportunities.

    Great campus life at THC!
    Placements: For B.A. Eng. Hons, there are no guaranteed placements, but they do provide paid internships from reputed companies like Tata. The main recruitment opportunities are available for Heritage Institute of Technology. This college doesn't offer any guaranteed placement as such.
    Infrastructure: The college has all the basic facilities like an AC library, drinking water, a lift, and spacious classrooms. However, it does not have ACs in classrooms or water coolers, which makes it difficult during summers in Kolkata. Besides that, the college, along with the massive campus, is a clean and delightful place to be in.
    Faculty: The faculty for English did undergo lots of changes, but the teachers are mostly friendly to students. There are regular monthly exams for students, helping them prepare for C. U. semesters. The B.A. course doesn't make one industry-ready in that sense, but it does help them get into higher studies.

    Course is not sufficient for placements.
    Placements: The placement of our college is very bad. I know that our course cannot give us direct placement, but there should be a placement team who can help us guide our placements. No internship opportunities are available. I am not satisfied with the placement scenario.
    Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is average. No high-speed Wi-Fi is available. The library is good compared to other facilities. Food prices are the same as outside, but the college should improve the hostel facility for students. The medical facility is just average on our campus.
    Faculty: There is no doubt that all of our faculty members have good degrees and knowledge. But some of them are not friendly. But no suggestions are provided, which has advantages and disadvantages. The passing percentage is around 90%, and some students do not come regularly.

    Campus is beautiful and well maintained.
    Placements: The placements in our college are nothing. To get a job, you can try to apply for off-campus jobs such as content writing, freelancing, etc. However, you can also pursue higher studies if you do not want to sit for on-campus placements. Currently, I am doing my higher studies from another college.
    Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. Additionally, the college’s location has a good connection for transportation. The library of our college has a good stock of important books. Classrooms are not too modern but they are upgrading them. Hostel facility was not used by me. Food quality is great.
    Faculty: Most of the faculty members are very helpful but not all of them. The exams are not too easy to clear if you don’t do proper studies. Passing percentage is around 85%. Faculty members may help you better in guiding for placements. Overall, the faculty is good but some of the teachers are very strict.

    Totally satisfied with the faculty and the infrastructure.
    Placements: For English Hons. specifically, no placements are offered as such. But the placement opportunities of others courses in this college are provided to the students of English Hons. Students can find placements in other courses and can join as per their own requirements.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very spacious. It has a huge campus with Wi-Fi, labs, lift facility, classrooms (non AC), library, girls and boys common room. There are 3 playgrounds for the students to take part in sports activities. Hostels are also provided for those who stay far away from Kolkata, especially for students who live abroad.
    Faculty: The faculty is quite helpful and knowledgeable. The professors put in maximum efforts for uplifting the students. The students are even permitted to visit the staffroom for clearing their doubts regarding the subject or for any other help. They make their students ready for the semester exams by providing expected questions from the university.
    Other: For any student, college life will turn out to be best in this college. Our three years journey was full of studies, seminars, events, fests etc.

    Top-notch faculty members in our college.
    Placements: There are no such direct placement opportunities in our course. I have applied for off-campus placements and currently, I am working in a content writing agency as a content writer. If you do not want to get a job after graduation, you can take admission for higher studies. Some of our friends have also started their careers in marketing companies. Now, my package is around 2 Lacs per annum and I am doing this job in my home city. But remember, if you do not apply with your efforts, there are no job options.
    Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is not up to the mark. Their Wi-Fi system is back-dated. Classrooms do not have ACs which becomes a very big problem when the classrooms turn very hot during the summers. I never stayed in the hostel as my home is near the college. The food quality of our canteen is good.
    Faculty: I am 100% happy with the behaviour and support of our faculty members. Their teaching quality is excellent. Our faculty members help us to complete our assignments, projects, etc. The course is updated but this course does not have any direct placements. The semester exams are medium-hard in terms of difficulty. My departmental teachers helped me with guidance for my placements.

    A roller coaster journey.
    Placements: No placements are available in our course. Sometimes, I discuss with our seniors to know about job openings. This course is just to get a degree. Currently, I am trying to get a job. The college should help us get jobs off-campus.
    Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, the college is better than other colleges in this location. But the Wi-Fi becomes slow because the connection is limited and slow. Classrooms are big, and the library has a good stock of books. The food quality of the food court is good, and the prices are the same as outside.
    Faculty: All of the faculty members are well qualified. Some of the teachers are very helpful. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is not industry-ready for jobs. The semester examinations are moderate, and my friends clear all the examinations. The passing percentage is almost 100%.
    Other: Good college, but bad placements.
