Best college to join and best weather, with a good environment. All facilities available are good.
Placements: 90%+ are placed in different MNCs. 43 Lacs was the highest on campus, and the average is 9-10 Lacs. Infosys, Dell, Benz. Information Scientists are more hired here. Good and best campus life. Most people are getting placed. Superb and enjoyable life. Very good morning view. Best atmosphere.
Infrastructure: Luxury hostel, with 3 sharing. Wi-Fi available. Food is only (veg) tasty. Gym is available, the cheapest compared to Bangalore hostel. Puri, dosa, sweet chip, palov, idli, rava idli. Tasty food and amazing food. Laptops are so useful to everyone for studying. Good notes are given.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and friendly. Well-equipped labs. Exams are very strict and tough, with the highest CGPA being 8 or 9. Five-day classes per week. Half days are there in between. Good lab facilities. Good atmosphere. Best sports complex.

It is a good course. There are remarkable faculty and sophisticated labs.
Placements: Regarding placements, students are expected to get placed in the companies in which the internship and project did in the 3rd and 4th semester, respectively. Even placement activity is conducted for engineering students. Salary offered depends upon the company, and it ranges from 3 LPA to 8 LPA for freshers. Top recruiting companies are Philips, TCS, L&T, ABB, Yashakava, etc. An engineer is a role offered for freshers. For a fresher, the salary package offered in our course starts from 4 LPA to 8 LPA. Almost 100% of the students got internships, and almost 60% of the students got paid internships.
Infrastructure: Labs provided here are the best in industrial automation and robotic branch when compared to all other M.Tech branches. Library and classrooms are good. The hostel facility and food provided is good, and also the encouragement for sports is always appreciative.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable, with a cool and friendly nature; they are remarkable. They provide support in every step in the college and provide all the materials required for the academics. The course and subjects are very relevant, and they really make all students industry-ready with different engineering backgrounds.
Other: Industrial automation and robotics is an interdisciplinary course and has a great expansion in knowledge. The course is very closely related to industries and makes individual get knowledge about the industry. Until now, I didn't find any such need for improvisation. They conduct events, and the famous event of our branch is Roborikishi.

I am very much happy to be a part of this college.
Placements: The placements were really good, and the support from the teachers is also good. The companies flow was also good. In fact, it is a very good place to study. BE will be good, and exposure is great. I prefer to BE rather than M.Tech, but M.Tech education is also good. The teachers over there are very supportive of the students regarding the project and research.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The main problem there is the space very small, and the buildings are very squeezed up. There are well-equipped laboratories and the library that is nice, one of the best that has. There is an indoor stadium, and that is used as multipurpose.
Faculty: The faculty members are super far better than other colleges in the region very supportive for the students, and the references that they give is also a good many of the students get pre-placed with the help of faculty members. Every one is PhD completed. They also support students who are entrusted in the research field.

Q:   Which entrance exam scores does NIE Mysore accept for admission to M.Tech?

    A:

For admission to M.Tech programs at NIE Mysore, the main entrance exam score considered is the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). However, depending on the situation, other exams might also play a role:

    Primary Criteria:

    • GATE: Scoring well in GATE is crucial for securing admission to M.Tech at NIE Mysore. The minimum required score varies based on the specific programme and competition level. Aim for a score above the program's cutoff,  which is usually available after the GATE exam results are declared.

    Additional Considerations:

    • KCET and COMEDK UGET: For Karnataka domicile candidates,  NIE Mysore might consider KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) scores as a secondary factor for some programs,  particularly non-core ones. For all Indian candidates,  COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental colleges Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test) scores might be considered similarly.
    • Other Exams: In rare cases,  some specific programs might consider scores from other national or state-level entrance exams in addition to or in place of GATE. This information would be clearly mentioned in the programme brochure.

    Remember:

    • Check the specific programme brochure on the NIE Mysore website to understand the exact entrance exam requirements and any secondary considerations for your desired program.
    • Focus on performing well in the primary admission exam (GATE) for best chances.
    • Stay updated with the latest admission information and deadlines on the NIE Mysore website or through official announcements.

Q:   Is M.Tech at NIE Mysore better than Bangalore Institute of Technology?

    A:

Whether a college is "better" than another for M.Tech students relies on your personal needs and objectives. Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) and NIE Mysore are both well-known universities having advantages and disadvantages of their own, therefore it's important to compare them according to your own standards.

    • NIE Mysore often charges somewhat less in tuition than BIT, giving it a more affordable choice for certain students.
    • NIE Mysore has a reputation for having fierce competition for M.Tech admissions, so having a solid academic record may be necessary to get a spot. Admission at BIT is extremely hard, and a stellar academic record may be necessary to get in.
    • BIT offers a wider variety of M.Tech programs than NIE Mysore, which may not address as many specialized fields. With so many M.Tech degrees available in a variety of engineering specialties, BIT offers more specialized choices to suit a wide range of professional goals.
