A great place to learn and enjoy ourselves.

Placements: The placements of our college have been great for few years. The bigger companies like Oracle, Dell, Motorola, Wall Mart, etc., visited the campus to hire the students. Last year, the highest package went up to 28 lakhs per annum. This year, the placements are going on till now with the highest package of 16 LPA. The best thing is that the average has increased to 8.5 LPA.

Satisfied with the college except for the college fest and the canteen

Placements: The placement for our senior batch was pretty good. Every year, almost 100% of the students for CSE get placed. The highest salary offered was 20 lakhs and the lowest offered was 3.7 lakhs for the CSE department. The average salary offered was 7 lakhs for the CSE department. Wallmart, Amazon, Cisco, De Shaw, Thoughtworks, Accenture, Intuit, SAP, Oracle and many other companies totalling 50+ companies had visited the campus for CSE placements. The students have to search internships on their own...

Overall, a decent college with decent placements and good faculty

Placements: The placements for computer science batch is almost amazing. 100% placement has been observed in the last two-three years. various companies like Wipro, Intuit, Infosys, TCS, etc. visit our campus for interviews. I have been told that 24 lakhs is the highest this year. The lowest is around 3.5 lakhs. Overall, a good package can be expected if you are good in the field.

The college name is good; placement is satisfactory. Faculty, infrastructure are not so good.

Placements: The placement is good. Usually, the recruitment level is more for the computer science engineering and information science engineering branches. In recent years, many prefer these branches. The companies that usually visit are Benz, Oracle, Cisco, Infosys, etc.

One of the best engineering colleges in Mysore, where the students can focus on their academics.

Placements: One of the best colleges for the placement activities. For a student who is serious about his future by getting placed in a good company, this college provides very good opportunities and helps the student to achieve his/her dream. The noteworthy thing is that the college has been recording almost 100% of the placements for the CSE department for a long time now.

Everything’s good but this also needs 25 chars which is annoying

Placements: The placements percentage in our college is around 90% in Information Science and Engineering. The maximum package offered was 18 LPA by Walmart. And the minimum package offered was around 3 LPA by Cognizant. The roles offered were a software developer and quality engineer.

Complete review of NIE, Mysore.

Placements: The placement records are decent and growing every year. In the year of 2016, it stood at 84%, considering the fact quite a few of students chose higher studies and were quite successful there too. Overall, it's pretty motivating placement wise when you see companies such as Microsoft, Samsung and many more visiting the college.

Good college with excellent placements.

Placements: Cisco, HPE, etc are some of the major companies that visit every year. The placements are good throughout all the branches if you work a little hard. CS and IS branches have around 80-90% placements every year. Apart from that, Benz, Bosch, etc are companies picking up students from the mechanical department. All in all, the average salary offered is around 6-7 lacs per annum. For internships, I would personally prefer not to rely on the college and apply yourself as soon as you feel that you ar...

Your 4 years would be worth it here.

Placements: Placements are decent in NIE. For CS/IS guys, we have Cisco, Microsoft, Intuit, etc recruiting from the campus. Then we have National Instruments too. For mechanical guys, we have Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Bosch, etc. Overall, there is a lot of opportunities for the deserving students.

Awesome placements, good location (trip wise), excellent faculties, average infrastructure.

Placements: About 85% eligible students got placed. The highest package is given by Microsoft (16 lakhs). Lowest is about 2.5 lakhs. Average package is 5 lakhs. Companies like TCS come with 2 kinds of packages- 4.5 lakhs and 6 lakhs. About 55 companies came this time. The students have to find internships themselves. The college faculty isn't going to help there.

Fully satisfied with placements but a little disappointed because of the infrastructure.

Placements: Placement in this college is excellent. About 80% of the total students got placed till April 2017 and many companies are about to come for placements. Many big companies who cames under fortune 500 visit this campus. And they offer good packages. The highest salary offered this year was 28 lakh per annum by D.E SHAW Hyderabad. Companies come with many profiles like a developer, quality assurance, business analyst, system engineer and so on. If students are interested in doing internship they t...

Good placements, faculty members, and infrastructure.

Placements: Almost 90% placements are there. The students who have less than 60% can leave fewer chances of placements. From the placement point of view, the college is excellent, and hundreds of companies come for recruitment for all branches. The infrastructure, faculty-wise, and the placement-wise, it is an outstanding college for engineering.

NIE is pretty good college compared to rest other colleges of Karnataka regarding placements. Although, infrastructure is not that much good. It's more like a high school in true sense. Some teachers are exceptionally good while rest of them come to college just for the sake of attendance. Students are hardworking because they know they will get no company if they only study what the college teaches. Students has to study job related subjects on their own. Hostel is very bad except the newly con...

The NIE, Mysore is good college to complete your graduation. It is an autonomous college under VTU, because of which it provides much freedom to its students. When I took admission it had 55th rank in India which changed my mind to go for this college. My branch was CS&E, best branch in the college. There are good number of faculty members in the college but they are inexperienced .There are 5-10 experienced faculty members in each branch. College was estd. in 1946 so it doesn’t have a big and m...

Collage has a good infrastructure but not the best. Mine was the first batch of autonomous course. I feel that collage didn’t make best use of autonomy. But now I have heard there are lot improvements in these lines. Course is not creative and is challenging.
