BCA (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) with minor in Robotics - Microsoft - Batch of 2026

Decent Learning Experience with Supportive Teachers.
Placements: The placement performance for this course indicates that approximately 10% of the students, which amounts to 5 out of the total 50 enrolled, secure job offers upon completion of their studies. The average package offered to the students is around 2 Lacs per annum (LPA), reflecting the current market scenario and the demand for the skills taught in the course. While the highest package offered is somewhat 8 LPA, some IT companies from Bangalore are the most recruiting.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is basic, but the computer lab is well-equipped for practical work. Hostel facilities are average; food in the mess is okay, while the canteen offers better options. Medical aid is basic, and sports facilities are limited but functional.
Faculty: The teachers are friendly, qualified, and knowledgeable, making learning engaging. The curriculum, especially in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, covers industry-relevant topics, preparing students for future roles. Semester exams are not too hard; basic understanding is enough to pass.

Dark side of Yenepoya University.
Placements: Placement in our college is very good. Most of the students got placement in good companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Amazon Cloud Technology, and the percentage of students who are getting placements is very high. The college provides good assistance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available here for the students is good and international standards. The hostel facilities available here for the students are also good. Every class has air conditioning and digital boards, and the infrastructure is also very good.
Faculty: The exams here are very easy, and most of the exams are provided by the question bank. All of the questions will be taken from the question banks itself, and the exam is very easy. The curriculum is also very simple and basic, and the semester exam is also easy.

Review of The Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placements is very low and those who are getting placement are in a very low-level company. 2.5 LPA is around the lowest package we get usually and the average will be around 4 LPA. The course didn't provide internships for students; the students should find the internship for themselves. The top roles offered in the course will be junior coder roles, usually in any startup company.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in the college is very good , even though the campus is very small. The facilities are good; we have ACs and a good digital board here and good lab facilities and for gaming students, they have separate PCs for gaming. The hostel is also good; we have ACs in the hostel, the food is also adjustable and the rooms are cleaned every day.
Faculty: The faculties available here are not that experienced, most of the teachers for the first-year students are freshers, and the teachers are not capable for teaching some times. The course curriculum is not bad but sometimes it feels like some things are not needed. The semester exam are not that tough; the curriculum will provide so many pdfs for the exam that include study bank. The pass percentage will always be above 90 percent because the exams are not tough.
Other: I have chosen this course because of the cyber security and ethical hacking but the reality is they have not been teaching these things for the last 1 and a half years. I didn't feel anything that was best in this course. I think to improve this course, they should add more content about cyber security and ethical hacking. The college is not providing that many events; most of the events are conducted by the students, and the university only provides a little bit of money for the event. The college is providing NSS and other things that are good, and the college is located in the city itself.

Degree in Yenepoya University.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placement in our college is very low. Most of them got placed in startup companies, and the average package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata Construction Company and Amazon. The percentage of students getting placements is around 40%.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure we have here in our college is very good. The hostel and the college are air-conditioned, and both have international facilities. The classrooms have digital boards, and the hostel is neat and clean. The food is also good and hygienic.
Faculty: The curriculum here we have is very average, and the faculty here we have is mostly freshers. Most of them are inexperienced and not very good at teaching, and the exams are also very easy. They will provide question banks for the exam.

BCA in Yenepoya University.
Placements: The placement in our college is below average. Most of the students get an average package of 3 LPA, which is likely higher than at other institutions. Most students will do some kind of additional courses to get into some jobs. The percentage of placement is very low.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is good. We have great lab facilities available that we can access anytime. Classes also have good facilities, which include digital boards and Wi-Fi. Classes also have air conditioning and biometrics.
Faculty: Most of the faculty are freshers here; senior teachers are very few, and most of them don't know how to teach. The exams are also rather simple, which is not very hard to pass. The college also provides question banks to the students, and the questions will come from the question banks only.

The reality of BCA in Yenepoya University.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placement is very low, and the students who get placements are very few. The highest placement in the college is around 4 LPA only, and the lowest will go as low as 1 lpa. The top recruiting companies vary by time, and in BCA, roles vary at different times.
Infrastructure: The facilities available on the campus are nice, but the area is very small and it doesn’t feel like a college; it feels like an institution. However, all the classes have AC, digital boards, good benches, etc. The hostel is also good, and the food and the facilities are good.
Faculty: The teachers are all freshers for the BCA course for the first-year students, and there are only a few senior faculty members on the campus. They are good at teaching, but the fresher teachers are not at all good at teaching. The semester exams are not that difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of the specializations provided here, but the actual thing is there is no proper curriculum for these specializations. If we want to study, we have to study on our own.
