    Information About Tolani Maritime Institute.
Placements: Out of around 220 cadets in the 4th year, only around 40 are unplaced as they didn’t clear their backlogs. College placement is 100% for all eligible cadets who’ve cleared all their backlogs before sitting in the interview. Top companies are Wallem, BP, Stena Gas, Chevron, Carnival Cruise, Fleet, Synergy, MOL, etc.
Infrastructure: Medical support is available 24/7, and hostel life at TMI is the best part of the college, as students from all over the world interact with each other. Hostel mess food is better than any other college, and even faculty members come to have their lunch. The classroom environment is well maintained. Faculty are very supportive and give guidance to us.
Faculty: The faculty of TMI are well-experienced and also have sea sailing experience. They share their experience and knowledge with us, which they gained from the sea. Frequent tests are being conducted to test the performance of the cadets. If the performance is not good, extra classes are being provided to them.
Other: B.Tech in Marine Engineering is the future of the Merchant Navy, as after a few years, the deck side is going to be automated, and the demand for engineers on ships will increase. Events like Horizons and Transtech, as well as the Freshers' Party, are being conducted at the college.

I am very satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: Placements are great. Almost 100% of students got placed by the end of the course. Top companies in this field provide placements only at this college as it has made its name in the field of the merchant navy. The college itself doesn't allow below-average companies to offer placements.
Infrastructure: There are a total of 3 hostels and an attachment to H2 is the girls' wing. Hostels are great and provide a very good and hygienic mess. One can only complain about one thing which is washrooms but other than that the hostel services of Tolani are very good.
Faculty: Faculty members here are one of the most educated and disciplined people in this field. The reason TMI takes more fees than other colleges is because it offers a very great education from one of the best professors. The passing percentage is 50% which includes the internals.

Average college life of a marine.
Placements: The placement cell has done well to get big names on campus. The students have immense exposure to the field. Almost each student is placed at the end of four years. Placement starts in the first year itself. A cadet just has to score well and clear exams.
Infrastructure: There is a good collection in the library. Wi-Fi is replaced by LAN-able connections in each room in the hostel, which is a bit of a convenience. There are so-called many sports on campus but most are not given focus. It comes down to the main sports .
Faculty: Exam checking is very bad and there is a system of mass checking every year. It is almost deliberately failing students for money. The course itself demands a huge amount of effort, which is not justified. This is not worth it at all. The syllabus is vast and difficult .

Our college provides excellent faculty members, placements, and infrastructure. You can go for it.
Placements: The placement rate of our college is high when compared to other maritime colleges. In the previous year, out of 210 cadets, only 10-15 students were left unplaced. Currently, in the 4th year, nearly 10-12 companies did their recruitment drive in a single semester. Out of which, more than half of the companies recruited for the first time from our institute.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are pretty decent. There are three buildings for regular classes. We also have one workshop and one building specially dedicated for simulators for both engineering and deck cadets. Food served is above average and far better than other college messes but it is repetitive. So you may get quite bored. There are three hostels, 2 are for cadets in 1st-3rd year and one for cadets in 4th year and ETO. Hostel 3 is best which is for the 4th year, then it comes hostel 2 and later hostel 1.
Faculty: You can't ask for better faculty members in your college life because all the faculty members here are the best part of our college. Semester exams are pretty tough but you get preparatory leaves, so it's manageable. The pass percentage depends on the semesters, some are tough and some are pretty easy.

    College tour for future help.
Placements: About 60% of the batch is placed now. The highest package goes to $1100, and the lowest is $350 at the start of the joining. Top roles given after placement are as cadets in the ship. Top recruiters are Tormstena Home, Msi BW, and many more. During internships, very few are left in college because most of them go on ship for internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good in the campus classroom and are well Wi-Fi working. All classes are air conditioning. The library also has Wi-Fi access and a variety of books available. The hostel facility is also good. Mess is attached in the hostel; no need to worry about food.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and helpful at any step. They are well qualified and have good knowledge and experience of this course. They can clear any doubt regarding this field. This course trained the students very well for this course. Semester exams are related to the syllabus only.

Tolani Maritime Institute: What All You Need to Know About!
Placements: The eligibility criteria is to have zero back, but students can still get placed with a backlog, provided they clear it within the course duration. Many top-rated shipping companies like Wallem, Chevron, EPS, British Petroleum, etc. have visited the college to recruit from my batch, each taking on an average of 4 students each. The highest package for internship is around 10 Lacs, which can go up to 24 Lacs per annum after the first promotions. On average, a cadet is placed with a package of 7 Lacs. For my course, up to 96 percent of students get placed in on-campus recruitment. Top roles are engine cadets, deck cadets, or ETO on placement.
Infrastructure: In TMI, each year there is a sports meet that involves activities like cross-country, march-past, mass demonstration, football, basketball, squash, and other racket games. These are conducted in both semesters each year. We also have a cultural event named Horizons, which is conducted in the second semester of each year. It involves dance competitions, singing competitions, and other various competitions, along with a DJ night. The activities take place as a competition between houses. The library of our college is moderately equipped with both old and new books. The classroom is subpar, with a projector, blackboard, and wooden benches. The college offers over 30 sports facilities and 25+ club activities. There is an Academic Assistance Club meant to help students with academics and placements, run by the students themselves.
Faculty: The faculty in TMI are highly educated and experienced. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders, and many are from the marine field (Captains, Chief Engineers, and other crew). Their teaching method is excellent, and we are able to finish most of our studies in college itself. The exams are held every 2 months on average with a moderate difficulty level. Though the exams are of moderate difficulty, 30 percent of cadets fail in at least one subject due to poor checking. Yes, the course is relevant to the industry; it teaches us all about marine machinery on board ships, and theory and practicals are done on them. We are also taught other helpful courses like carpentry, lathe operation, welding, fitting, etc. Yes, I think the course makes us industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course for the economic factor that comes with it. In this field, we are able to travel worldwide while earning a good amount, which is also tax-free. In TMI, each year there is a sports meet that involves activities like cross-country, march-past, mass demonstration, football, basketball, squash, and other racket games.
