Knowledge. Skill. Attitude, Tolani Maritime Institute.

Placements: Almost every cadet here gets placed if he has cleared all of his subjects. College makes 100% effort to get us placed. Around 70% of my batch-mates including me are placed in international shipping companies. A little effort from our side and by the time our course comes to an end we are placed. Two or three companies come to college for campus selections from the third semester up to the last semester.

Good curriculum with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Weak placements.

Placements: Due to the large size of the batch, placements could be a problem if you are not among the cream in the batch. Most of the private shipping companies visit the campus for onshore jobs however the offshore opportunities are limited. NYK and Shell are some of the best companies to recruit with a decent stipend.

Placements – This is one aspect where TMI stands above every other college. Faculty – All faculty members are well trained and maintain a high standard of learning and teaching eco-system. TMI, is a college not everyone would like unless they understand the real motives and objectives of the schedule and regime students are put under. As the Institute trains the students to become a valiant seafarer. Hence, the training and the complexities involved like getting up early in the morning for physical conditioning and attending classes without fail and then reporting positively for various activities, following discipline and code of conduct at all times. It’s a Training Institu...

TMI is one of the finest institutes at large to produce quality merchant navy officials. The professors are well qualified and the infrastructure is at par with all the premium institutes in India. This college is well renowned in the merchant navy field and so the students passing from this institute are welcomed with pleasure. Placements are impressive and the food and lodging is better than other engineering colleges in the same field.

I have positive reviews for this college. Even though fee structure at my time of joining was very high, the campus facilities and exposure which it provides through its events is fabulous, the placements are really fantastic. The faculty team is excellent and even the college crowd is so great. I will recommend this college to others.

The first thing I would say is, about the course. Don't study Marine Engineering until and unless you know about your future lies in it. If money is the only thing you need (nothing else, absolutely nothing), then you can choose this course. As a mariner, you will earn a lot after just 2 years of your career guaranteed but the fun, you may not like it. You will be within the ship for a very long period of stay, that you may start hating yourself (if you are an outdoor person). Please don't dream...

It was a great experience to be a part of this reputed institute. The best thing one could get here is the awesome and experienced faculty, also the infrastructure of the college is far better than any other institute. When it comes to placements, 90% of the batch gets placed in renowned companies but for that you need to work really hard. This course gives you a broader view in the global industry and also you turn out to be a global citizen.
