Tolani Maritime Institute: What All You Need to Know About!

Placements: The eligibility criteria is to have zero back, but students can still get placed with a backlog, provided they clear it within the course duration. Many top-rated shipping companies like Wallem, Chevron, EPS, British Petroleum, etc. have visited the college to recruit from my batch, each taking on an average of 4 students each. The highest package for internship is around 10 Lacs, which can go up to 24 Lacs per annum after the first promotions. On average, a cadet is placed with a package of 7 L...

It is an excellent college, but the placement records are not good.

Good college for maritime studies .

Placements: Last year almost all the cadets got placement in different companies like NYK, BSM, BW, stena etc. Average stipend which a cadets is approximately 600 dollars it differs from company to company. Just put efforts on your academic don't get any back and a good company can hire you easily.

If you are looking for a career in Merchant Navy, you can opt for this college.

Placements: In the batch of 2018-2022, the placements took a beat due to covid, but it was still good. About 150 cadets got placed in the college, and many others got placed off-campus. All the companies that come to TMI provide students with good packages, ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,00,000, depending on the company. A large number of students (around 100) did internships on our on-campus ship, i.e., Prabhu Vidya, and got placed in various reputed companies. If you pursue B.Tech in marine engineering,...

The college has impressive sports facilities and experienced faculty members.

Placements: Various off-shore companies like Torm, Chevron, Dockendale, Anglo Eastern, etc., visit our campus every year. Placement opportunities are decent for bachelor's when compared to other colleges. Most of the students opt for higher studies after completing the bachelor's course. Salary packages are quite low as all the bachelor's course packages are, so opting for higher studies is a better option.

Our college is very good for shipping purpose.

Placements: The institute assured 100% placements. Students got placed in every company interview. Every top company visits here for recruitment. At first, we have to work as a trainee, so the salary package offered is not the highest or the lowest. The trainee gets a salary of Rs. 15,000 per month. If you are in another company than India, you can get more stipend in training. After completion of training, you get 1 lac\ or more as ETO in the company. It is the best college for merchant navy as of now.

Placements: Placements for our batch will be conducted in next year. However, for our senior batch who are currently in the 2nd year, almost 50 students got placed out of 230 students. From the 4th year students who graduated this year, only 40 students are not placed. If you maintain a decent percentage in your academics and no disciplinary cases against you, then you are very likely to get placed. Really good placements and sports facilities, but things can be much improved and updated.

Placements: Placements in the institute have always been good. About 85% of students in my batch the got placed, and it was the same with my senior batch as well. The salaries offered at the time of joining as a cadet for internship varied from 300-800 dollars. Some of the companies which visited for placements were Maersk Line, in which I got placed, Nyk Logistics, Northern Marine, Scorpio, Teekay Tankers, etc. About 20 companies visited the campus for placements in which some provided onboard internship a...

Great placement and good infrastructure. Satisfied.

Placements: Unparalleled placement record. Despite the fact that the maritime sector in under heavy recession, this college still gets almost 90% of its students placed. Most of which are already placed by the end of second year. Almost every year just about 10 to 12% students remain unplaced, rest all are placed. In the second year about 150 out of 240 students are already placed. No maritime college can compete with Tolani in terms of placement. Average pay for an intern is about 350 USD.

Really good college to join merchent navy, faculty is helpful, placement is also good.

Placements: Overall good placement but 100 % not guaranteed, previously it was very good but as the market is in recession so now placement is also less as compared to previous years, for now u should have good CGPA to GET good placement. CGPA should be above 7 then placement is sure. As compared to other colleges Tolani is still good in view of placement.

The college is good, but need to work on placements.

Placements: The placements in our college are not good. Only 120 out of 240 students got placed by the 3rd year. Every week, the college conducts an interview session for the improvement of students. The company take the cadets as trainees, and after class 4 exam, they will be promoted to 4th engineer.

Best available in the country, if you are ready for the extreme.

Placements: Placements are good and in fact best in the industry. If you are a graduate from TMI, Pune, you are judged on a different scale in shipping industry considering the best in class facilities and infrastructure. Also in profession like shipping, your first work company matters the most as it will help you uplift your career in future.

Placements: They use to say 100% placement. And I have seen it too. In front of me, all 4 batches all guys got placed. It was true and they are always true in their commitment. But they are very strict about their rule and regulation. I got placed in 2nd year itself.
